LIFE'S A BEACH!

SoCal, I think you're right about the bird being a blue heron. I've never been able to get that close to one while at the beach. It was just before dusk and he just came wandering down near me.
-
What an amazing shot, Samsue!
I love that he posed for you.
Please let him know that we are all grateful!
We didn't make it to the beach today.
Gray & windy.
I ended up going with my friend to the county office to straighten out a mess of paperwork for her health insurance. I was glad to support her through such a headache.
So I'm delighted to come splash among the water here tonight.

Edited to add a picture to the top of another new page.
This is another shot in Naples, earlier in the year.
-
I do love that photo of the bird..so majestic, thanks
-
I must have tried to post when you were on Faith..the pages did a funny thing
love the sun and the water...is it sunrise or sunset??hard to tell on the east coast
-
Hi Coonie ! than a lot.. you know at the first instant while entering the forum I was really scared because I am so different from all of you and thought no one will response to my postings. But I was wrong that time. I am very glad to be amongst you guys and my fear is no more. Thanx once again to all of you for being shared with me .
Lisa.. Lily picture is so cool and mind blowing. Its so beautiful like you.
3 jay.. I love the picture and your gesture. I am sure one day we all be there. Hope you wont forget me to put as one. And faith,s sunset picture is so beautiful and natural looking.
barbe.. lovely picture! Is it maple or something else. I saw the tree with the same red leaves in the picture only.
-
Lisa, we live on the west coast of FL so that is sunset!
-
Morning all!

Such an international page, already unfolding.
Raj reporting from India, Chrissy with a breath-taking panorama from Australia.
Love it.
Both coasts represented on this page: FL & CA!
My Naples, FL shot above on this page is a sunset.
Off to line-dance aerobics!! Our instructor is gone to her grandchild up-north, so it will be a bit of mayhem without her. This will be a real test of what I have learned in two months. YIKES.
A couple of the really talented gals 'lead' the class by example, but they don't 'call' the dances what-so-ever. You just have to go from your memory & their example.
Happy Friday.
How's abouts we start the weekend party a little early? That way by the time Marlegal and the other Friday peepers peek in -- we'll be in full force.
Does anyone have a theme for this week's wikii-wiki?

After this line dance fiasco, I may be in need of a life-guard recusitation..........

Favor to ask.
Remember when I posted the YouTube footage shot in NY..... there was a rather prominent 'fanny' exposed in the back row -- nearest the camera.
Anyhow, I hired my buddy to 'edit' the film, so as not to embarras anyone. We just put it up in place of the other one. Unfortunately, the first video was already up to over 500 views. (Which is a whole lot for me.)
In any case, if you would be kind enough to click this link, it will help restore a few of the missing views & bring a bit more visibility to that great day.

Thanks for your help.

HI Everyone,
I have been away for so long that I could not possibly read the last 90 pages. I hope everyone is doing well. Faith, I just saw your youtube video and it is great. I also looked at Goldie The Gold Fish and the Daisy. As with the first time I saw Daisy, it made me cry again. I think of Saint often.
Well, I hope to keep up with this site. Have a wonderful beach weekend and send me some warn weather. Here in Buffalo, NY we are freezing once again.
(((((HUGS and PRAYERS)))))

Hi Raj..bet you are asleep
Chrissy, are you asleep too??
anyhow here are some sea anenomes I saw on the coast here..
-
A beautiful salt water garden, Lisa!
-
LOVE how the shell near the top picks out the pink of the weeds. Very pretty Lisa!
-
I love the tidepools..here is my last one
I took my grandson down there at low tide..when the tide shifted and started to come
in he grabbed my hand and said " lets go grandma, right now"
-
BTW, these are all under water
-
I couldn't see your reflection so I figured they might be.
-
Well, what I mean is I didn't take them with an
underwater camera, they were just underwater when
I took them from above
-
Well then you did really well avoiding the reflections!
I know anemones close up when the water is gone.
-
We had to climb down these rocks..
-
Lisa, are you seeing tsunami waves today?
-
not me Sharon..thanx for asking
-
I'm up Lisa but I was sleeping when you asked....lol. Lovely tide pool shots Lisa, the colors are beautiful. Love the little GS being super careful about rising water.....don't you just love the little ones?
-
Lisa those tide pool shots are wonderful. And your flower shots are the best I hope you post on photographic sites like my DH.
Just got an email from Taiwan he has 9 new species of bird shots this week and is safely on his way home.
-
Thankfully Mum!
-
Mum. I can't wait to see his bird shots.
I always look forward to his latest captures.
Lisa. Love the tidepool shots.
Hoping that everyone is 'safe' tonight from rising waters. It is amazing to watch the footage of the waves crashing, swirling, cascading. Such absolute power when Mother Nature runs amok.
HEYMOOSE!!!!! Welcome 'home' to the beach. Hope that you are able to commune with us on a 'regular' basis. The word regular means something different to everyone, but once every 90 pages is hardly enough. LOL. We're much more engaging than that. LOL. You'll have to get to know our 'newbies.'

-
I guess we had about a 3 foot tsunami effect here..at least that was on the tv
-
Faith - love that you wanted to start a party before I got here so it would be in full swing!!!
Lisa - I live vicariously through one my of my daughters who travels a lot ... I also live that way through your pictures - keep em coming hon
My personal addition for a Friday night is below ... I had my share of the drink tray, but you're all welcome to share too.
-
My goodness, what beautiful pics, ladies. So peaceful to look at, and such a restful place to come at the end of the day. Thank you. ♥
I watched your video, Faithie! You make those children so joyous. I spent the day at my son's school saying goodbye to everybody that has done so much for my son, and words cannot even express my gratitude. I hate saying goodbye to such a wonderful group of people.
Now I have to get serious about this packing project... There is at least one friend following us to Florida. He is driving down to help us unload and unpack, and he's not coming back!
Good night, beachies.
-
MissyB! How had I misunderstood that you were switching schools right now?
Moving right now?
I had somehow extrapolated (in my own Swiss cheese brain) that you would move some time before the next school year????
I'm thinkin' that was in my brain-only...........
You're coming down now?
We'll be nearly neighbors!
Soon!!!
Welcome to FL...............
-
Marlegal, you know how to get the party started! I'm too pooped to pop, but if you guys are still at it tomorrow, I'll just have to find a way to be torn away from my packing project for a little fun.
