LIFE'S A BEACH!

Yes, Faithie, my son is off two weeks for spring break here starting tomorrow, and then his new school starts their spring break, so he will start his new school at the beginning of April. There are a lot of reasons for this timing, but everything has lined up so beautifully. I know moving between school years is ideal, but with his special ed program, the transition for him won't be as dramatic as being the new kid in class at the end of the year. He is sooooo excited.

Thank you for the welcome! I can't wait!!!
-
A rare species of Egret my DH found in Taiwan
-
I always love a help up...
-
MissB, welcome to the sunshine state. Hope you find the mix of cultures here stimulating!
-
Foxflove...digitalis??
-
Lisa. Now I wanna see more pics of the 'whole' sculpture.
I can't get over how much color you already have for this time of year: WOW!!!
-
Samsue, thank you so much! I love cultural diversity, and am looking forward to experiencing all the sights, sounds, and tastes of all the different influences in Florida!
During this time of year, when I was in San Diego, I loved to visit the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA (north San Diego County). They are breathtaking. The flowers are ranunculus, and the fields are near the ocean with a picturesque windmill. I have tended to take more pics of up close shots than sweeping panoramic views, but found these online.
-
Bianca they are so beautiful, even driving on the freeway up there is fun
when they are in bloom
-
faith, I am looking for it..I did take a picture of the whole sculpture
not a very good photo, but you get the idea
-
That's a beautiful succulent, Lisa. I love looking at symmetrical design in nature. It's amazing.
-
Wonderful pics. Have a beautiful day and strool on the beach.
(((((HUGS and PRAYERS)))))
-
I love the 'helping hand' photo. What a beautiful figure.
-
I saw this turtle this morning
and boy did he have an attitude..
-
Lisa--love the turtle, but I'm really partial to your rose pictures!
Always so BEAUTIMOUS!!
-
Hi Coonie..took this today too..
-
Not a beach pic but this is the approach to the beach in my little town. The entire 2 mile approach is lined with these bottle brush trees.
-
Barbara, we have lots of those trees too, nice...
let's soar
-
We're driving south (to Tampa) so that I can catch an early morning flight north tomorrow.
I think I've gotten everything I need packed up.
Going it alone this time & so packed only the absolute essentials & I still need to rent my own camel for the hauling.
It's really exciting, as this is a whole new category of conference for me.... so I'm hoping to make new friends and plant new seeds.

This seems like a good companion for the hotair balloons, Lisa.
I loved chasing the kites last month on the beach, with my camera. Like watching a quilt dance on the laundry line in my grandma's farm yard.
Memories, sweet memories.

Wonderful pics. Thanks to all for lifting our spirits!
Wow, Faithie, you're like a rocker going on a solo acoustic tour! You really are blessed with so much energy, and expend it on bringing joy to others. I really admire that. I hope you make great connections.

They're just about ready to board our plane.
LOVE to each & everyone splashing at the beach...... and everyone who reads along and appreciates the scenery.

*****Every Wednesday is lurkers-join-in day..... so feel free to introduce yourself and pick up some flip flops. I found quite a storehouse the other day.
-
Lisa, do the dogs in the area bark at the hot air balloons like they do up here?
-
Fith, you beat me to it. I was going to open up my shoe closet to anyone who needed some...
-
LOLOL @ Meece. Quite the array.
-
Barbe, I didn't hear any dogs..the balloon festival
I went to was just a one time thing for me, beautiful
-
We used to get a LOT of balloons when we lived in Aurora. All the neighbourhood dogs would go NUTS. People had to put them in their basement!!! I don't know if it was the sudden looming of such a large object over the street (pterodactyl warnings?) or the sound of the hiss of the gas...
-
Wow Barbe, who knew??
-
My dog(s) have always gone nuts over the noise of the hot air balloons in my area. they used to land in the field behind my house during a balloon festival held every year, but for some reason they don't anymore. I'm pretty sure it's the noise that caused the barking because the noise can be very scary when you hear it, but don't see the balloons at 1st.
