MUM!!!
We live through your travels.
Thanks as always.
dog-gone-it that your camera was acting up!
Now you'll just have to take another adventure for us!
EDITED TO ADD A PICTURE TO START A NEW PAGE!!
Everybody grab your favorite pair and let's meet at the cabana boy's hide-a-way!!
-
Mum, If I showed up at the Nude Beach, everyone would scatter..
-
Lol! Lisa, one time I was hiking at the Torrey Pines Reserve, and decided I wanted to explore another way to get down to the beach. I followed some hikers down a long trail, and ended up at Black's Beach. I didn't see any signs that it was a nude beach, so imagine my surprise!! I just stayed close to the water's edge, and tried not to look around. I felt so out of place with clothes on!
-
Dear Faithandfifty, Thank you so much for your kind welcome. Those flip flops are just adorable and it would be a great art project for the kids. They would love it. I am only teaching until after Easter, took a maternity leave position for a friend, so I better hurry and get them started. Thank you for the picture and I will certainly come here often for pictures of the beaches until we can get there. have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Kathy
-
Dear MissBianca, During our many visits to see our sons, we did hike the area in Torrey Pines and then went to the golf course for lunch, so breathtakingly beautiful there. Can't wait to get back there. Enjoy your evening!!!!! Kathy
-
I've been on two nude beaches in my life and I'll tell you from the perspective of someone on the beach....those that walk by in clothes and ogle us are the same ones that tut-tutted the nude beach in the first place!
-
Eph I can't see a red arrow either ... Barb, could something be in the original picture that didn't translate during the copy/paste process?
Mum that beach and bay look heavenly
Glad you're home safe and had the chance to have that getaway.
-
Kindergarten, welcome to one of the best sites on the boards!!! Sit back, relax, kick off the shoes and put on the flipflops. If you have any beach pics to share, go for it ... but if not, just enjoy ours. Here's one of my fav pics of the Delaware Bay at sunset ... the campground where we have our trailer backs up to the bay. Others have seen it before, but it's new to you!!! Have a good week kids in case I don't make it back till the weekend
-
Pics are of Torrey Pines Reserve, San Diego, Ca. When I hiked at the top at the reserve, I travelled as light as possible, and didn't bring a camera. I found these online.
Barbe, you can see, when you hike down from the 300 foot cliffs, and discover you are at a nudist beach, it is a lot easier to just walk a half mile to the clothed beach than it is to try to hike back up the way you came. Believe me, I was very uncomfortable, but wasn't going to strip to fit in! lol
Kindergarten, it must so wonderful to look forward to moving close to your sons! I never did visit the golf course there, but I know they had tournaments there all the time with Tiger Woods.
edited: sorry, scrolling too fast.

Pop the cork!!!!
Here's my newest, not quite yet released, but gen-u-ine-ly on the way to national distribution through a national educational publishing company, Redleaf Press.
This is the packaging when someone orders just the 2 CD set of my music.
Here's the book cover:
(When they buy the 200 page book of ideas for use w my music..... then the CDs are included inside.) YEARS in the making, literally years & years & years: it is to roll off the presses by the end of the month. Their website is now taking backorders.
WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
These are big dogs in the early childhood world!!!
I'm completely honored to be associated with them.
This is seriously a nice way to start the new week at hand!!!!

Hmmmmmm.
That's pretty anti-climactic.
LOL.
The covers were there as I typed it out.
Well, at least it's not the dreaded red x......
just empty space.................
Go to my FB wall to see the images.
Still worthy of a toast, even if I have no 'proof' to share.

-
Wow Shaz, the color of that sand is truly amazing!!!
Welcome Kathy!
Faithie.................Yahoo! congrats girl!!!
-
Well, snap!
There ya go, Barbara. You did it when I couldn't.
I LOVE that you're so tech savvy. Wish I could hire ya for a day to help me w a gazillion other tech mysteries.
Nobody included me in on the cover design so seeing it yesterday for the first time was a joyous jump into the project becoming real. I think I signed the contract with them about 20 months ago, and we talked to them for about that long before we got to the contract phase.
With all of my recent hullabaloo of travel, I kinda lost track of the fact that this is the month they're being released.
Yippppeeeeee skipppie, do-dah-day!!!
Sharon, any idea where those red sands are located??
Lisa, this is indeed my week to exhale and attain a water-lilly attitude & appreciation.
MissyB, I had a teacher from Vermont surprise me last week before we flew out of FL..... she was in FL visiting her parents an hour + down the road. She called, rang the doorbell & had a bottle of champaigne to surprise me...... all on a Monday evening.
Pretty exotic for educators. LOL.
Mar. Great to see you poppin' in -- other than a Friday!
3Jays. I'm still bummed that we didn't get our act together to meet up when I was closer to you this weekend. Hopefully I planted some seeds with the teachers down there & I'll get some invitations back down your way. It usually takes a school a year to get it into their budget & calendar to pull that off.
Chrissy. LOVE LOVE LOVE that grass' movement against the splash.
I got a picture of some sea grass on Fri and I've gotta down load 'em. The sun peeked out for just a moment and it felt so serene against the dark clouds.
Ephie. Are you hard at work on my Oregon invitation?? LOL. I know you long for beaches, but I am so desirous of seeing your corner of the world.
Kathy. Glad that you've found your way back to the thread. The more you're here, the more you'll like us.
Meece. Barbe. Julz. Coonie. Chabba. Raj, Samsue, Sheila, BearlySaneIris. CurlieQs. KK. Carolyn. Mum. Maya. Blondie. Arnie. Dream. Shells. And so many others...... where are you hiding??
If ya go way back, I'm always on the look out for Winger & neecie, Footie. Deboraye. Makratz. Spar. Splash back through ol timers..... every now & then..... and some of those other really ol' timer beach-combers -- it would be fun to hear from you, too.
-
Congratulations Faith and I love this thread!!!!! As soon as we move to CA, I will post some pictures. Have a great night, everyone!!!! Kathy
-
Faith, I can't begin to fathom what that accomplishment must feel like. Your already 1,000 watt smile must have broken the stratosphere, and deservedly so. I think those of us who have known you for a while, and probably even some newbies, really feel like we're sharing in your celebration. Let's keep the party going
-
Saw this little guy this afternoon and thought he might be onto something
-
Beachie Babes.
Thanks so much for sharing the celebration. It's moments like this that make me reflect on how very fortunate I am. I'm approaching the fourth anniversary of my first dx/surgery yada-yada.
It was at this time four years ago that I was getting the first phone call -- of the need to come back for additional films.
To think of all that I have had the good fortune to "do" in the past four years is mind-numbing. To think about how fickle & unpredictable this disease is, well let's just summerize to say, more mind numbing-ness.
I am very fortunate to get more time to follow my passion, to be able to contribute, to grow a legacy, to see dreams coming to fruition. I am very fortunate. I'm very aware of that good fortune. Saint's birthday is moments away. I know the value of the gift of time. How bittersweet that this project comes together this month. The month of her birthday & the month of losing her, too.
I'm so fortunate.
To have had a chance to share my efforts over time with each of you, to get to know you, has been the one blessing BC has brought into my life.
New beachies, you may not even know that my first BCO addiction was to the chatroom function. Marlegal was one of the very first people to greet me four years ago. Our Sharon was a regular chatter back in the old days, too. We were in the chatroom nearly every evening, them keeping me sane. Food fights. Kindness. Encouragement. You name it.
Then to think that I've had the opportunity to meet Mar IRL, beyond names on a screen.......
Eventually my computer had a time when it didn't support the Java script & I made a segway here to the boards.
I'm so fortunate. And I've met BarbaraA and Coonie and Julz and Neesie and Winger and Mouse and Held and Camper and Patmom and Cookie and Silka and dozens of other BCO sisters.
In any case, and now I ramble further..... I feel like I have "grown up" while being a member here at BCO. I was never in a sorority in college -- so this continuity has meant the world to me.
Thanks for all of the encouragement.
Thanks for all of the support.
Thanks for the celebration.

Faith, you do know that Saint was the first to know of your CD publication!!
She, as we all are, was rooting you on all the way...
