-
Thanks ladies! Faith, didn't you recognize Saint?
-
Happy Day at the beach Beachettes.
-
congrats Barb on the grandbaby, they make everything worth it....
-
Congrats Barbe on the new addition to the "beachies" I'm watching two of my GB today. They are an amazing wealth of information and creativity! Trying to keep up with all the cartoon and video stuff of a 3 yr old, not to mention the 7 yo. Yikes..... I need to watch more disney movies to keep on track.

Barbara, Friday night is my night owl day of the week! I hate having to go to bed at 10:00 every night to face the 5:30 alarm, so I rebel on Fri nights and stay up, having a few cocktails and playing on computer. Assuming I have nothing to do early Sat that is! I went to bed last night right after that post, and slept till about 10:00 this morning - heavenly
-
So much sand...........so little time.
-
Too much time.............no sand.
-
Marlegal, I am a natural night owl. I have fought this tendency my whole life, and it did interfere with regular business hours, but I enjoyed all my nighttime activities. The world is so peaceful when everyone's asleep! With my son, he will stay up and fight sleep if he knows I'm up, and would be rebelling against nice, tidy hours too! One day, when he flies the coop, I'll probably return to my night owlish ways.

Sharon. Loved seeing the word 'Happy' with the water.
Makes me smile.
MissyB. Are you relocated? Are you in FL? How is the transition unfolding?
Found this at a gift shop a while back and thought it might bring a smile to someone walking the sand. It was intended to be a mouse-pad.

Faithie, we will officially be in Florida on the 28th. Our truck rental is the 25th, so that will give us time to load (slow poke style) and mosey on down. It's about 14 hours away, so we plan to stay overnight in Georgia for a rest. We are so excited! Right now the trees here are in bloom, and Tennessee in the spring is gorgeous. I am glad to be able to see this before we leave.
Yesterday, we had a long, informal goodbye get together at the local BBQ restaurant. A lot of people dropped by to say goodbye, and I met a large family of my DH's friend, and they had all been praying for me all along (unbeknownst to me). It was a long tx, nearly 2 years, and they were happy to meet who they had been praying for.
Beachies, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
-
love that plaque it is so true and be careful in your travels, my mother used to spend from march til september in PA and Canada and September til March in Haines City, Fla. that is when I fell in love with it, my plan was to, when my twins who are 17 graduate from high school next year to move to FLA be trailer trash and work at Disney World, sounds perfect to me, not sure if cancer will allow me to do that....
-
I always laughed at people who fled to Florida, I would talk about how I looooved the change of seasons here in PA. Then 50 hit ... Now I would give my eye teeth and maybe a foot to be able to live there!!! The only good part about winters here is that it makes spring seem so absolutely glorious
Blondie thanks for waiving to Hideaway for us! Had things around here we needed to do this weekend, but hoping to take a ride down next weekend to start opening up - we are officially open there, so time to get the sheets/blankets/towels, etc. back in place and do my once a year cleaning!
Here's a pretty cool sunset pic from the bay beach at Hideaway from last Fall ... I can almost smell it
-
Went to St Armands and had dinner at the Salty Dog. Local that I'm fond of. Didn't have my camera with me or you could have seen some great pics of the water and bridges. Tons of people there today! Luckily we were heading "in" and they were headed off the islands. The line of traffic was really long... Enjoyed my usual "dog bites" that are battered hot dog cut into chunks. YUM. We didn't stay for the sunset but really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the boats come in from the Gulf.
Faithie I never thought anyone could have to many shoes.... they're just artwork for the feet to me.
-
I am trying to figure out how to get there now...better late than never, anybody live there and wanta rent me a room or help me find a place to stay, lol!!!
You are welcome Marlegal....and thanks for the pix.
-
Blondie, a friend is coming down with us, and when he gets settled, he may very well need a roommate. (Nice guy, massage therapist, hard worker) I can talk to him about it. I am moving to a suburb of Orlando. What is great about Fl, and Orlando is that the rental prices are really good. Live your dream, Blondie. You can pm me anytime about it.
Marlegal, I love the pastels in your pic.
I hope you all are having a great day. I wish I could wave a magic wand over the remaining boxes that need to be packed.
-
We are home from the desert..hit sleet, snow, and unrelenting rain on the way
but it was beautiful in the desert
-
Awesome mountain pics Lisa.
The tennis shots were really nice too. The colors are so vivid.
Did you play?
-
Coonie, it was a professional tournament..fun to watch..
it is great to have snow on the mountains but palm trees
and sand under our flip flops ..
-
OMGoooodnessss Lisa!!!
I'm sooooooooooo envious!!!! I REALLY AM!!
If we didn't have so much holding us here, we would move to CA in a heartbeat!!!!!
It is the most beautiful state we've visited.
The weather is so gorgeous, but sometimes when we go, we always like to go over to Reagan's Library. We've been through the library a couple of times, but the beautiful atmosphere and setting of the place............uugghhhhhhh I could sit outside there ALL DAY LONG!!! Have you been there?
-
Wow, SoCal, snow, sleet, rain, desert and beach all in one day! What a place you live in...
-
coonie, yes I have been to the Reagan Library, beautiful setting isn't it..
-
Guess where I'm going tomorrow?
wait for it...............
yup,
you guessed it:
DA BEACH!!!!!

-
Good morning Beachettes.
Here's to you all.
-
Lisa, that tennis game looked like a video game as I scrolled down to it...very vivid colour!!
Barbara, gorgeous sunset! Now I have a challenge for you. You get the colour and postioning all right, now I challenge you to get a straight horizon. It's not as easy as it sounds!! NO insult or criticism intended...just a challenge. Especially with water!
-
Like this Barb?
Great pic BarbA, hope you don't mind me straightening your horizon.
-
So funny my DH is always on my case for the same reason.Horizontal horizon . I think my eyesite is crooked
