LIFE'S A BEACH!

Marl, and Faith, I am with you..I loved the chat back then...so many
remembered names..and like you, I have a few of us..
it is so neat to do that...
Here is one of our tidepools
-
WowoWOWoWowWOwOWoWOWOwOWOwOW!!
So many amazing contributions.
Coming it at the end of a lovely day is such a toes-in-the-water sort of delight.
MissyB, thanks for sharing your little wonder-guy with us! I've never been to Legoland, but right now that is a total fascination with our grand-wonder-peeps. Right before we 'moved out' of our Ohio place I uncovered all of the Lego collection from our kids and took the whole lot to the wonder-peeps!
There's enough for all of their buddies to play with at the same time. While we were home last week I came across a Goodwill that had a HUGE HUGE HUGE box of lego pieces & Lego people for only $5.00..... so now they have enough for the whole neighborhood to have a Lego party.
Fun stuff.

Julz, wish you didn't have such a full plate of 'life' -- because we love when you're here with us sharing your great finds of awe-inspiring wonder.
Edited an hour later, cuz I just saw I started a new page. LOL.
This is later on, the same night as the picture below.
This one is after the one in the next post. LOL.
-
Sunset in Naples, FL -- last month. Gulf of Mexico.
-
Lisa, have you ever checked the tide pools at night? That's when they would be the most colourful. Let me know.
Julz, as usual, very calming pictures. I pray for some calmness in your flurry of life!
-
Barbe, I can't get to these tidepools at night..first of all they are inside a national
monument and it shuts down, but they are very difficult to climb down to..and with
my dizziness, it is a challenge in the daylight...oh, how I wish I could find a spot
I could visit at night
-
The photos ladies are wonderful. Nice to finally see some of yo0urs too Barbe. Lisa becareful I can picture you climbing around on the rocks with your camera
-
thanks for giving me something to change the background to and going to Wildwood, NJ, really the Villas.....away from here and these kids....17 year old twin boys are stressfull, along with having cancer....actually the older ones 36, 33 and 29 are worse..
-
Faithie, I ran across my kids' (and mine before that) Legos a couple months back. The morning after their father died, I brought them out and sat in the floor with DS3 and "played". We didn't talk, just built Lego stuff.
I informed the boys that the Legos will stay at Grandma's.
-
Meece, so glad you used Legotherapy..nice how that works isn't it..??
The kids and grandkids can talk, or not..
My grandmother used dominoes to have a one on one with her grandkids
and greatgrandkids..(BTW she almost always beat us!! she was over 95
at the end)
-
We also play cards with the kids, but we get to joking too much, it didn't seem appropriate at the time.
-
I took a walk today..lots of flowers, but can you believe my pointsettia is still blooming
-
Faith, what gorgeous sunset photos! The oranges are breathtaking. They are opening a Legoland in Winter Haven, Florida in Oct 2011. It will be the second in the States. The other countries that have one are Denmark, Germany, and England. Maybe it could be an adventure for you and your grandkiddos.
Lisa, your poinsettia pic could make a beautiful Christmas card, straight from sunny So. Cal! I didn't know they could bloom that long.
-
Since Poinsettias are from Mexico, they like your So Cal weather!
-
Meece, I saw these today and have really never seen any
like this before..any idea what they are, they look like an african
daisy, but not...
-
They could be a type of African Daisy, the leaves look like it. Or perhaps a variation of blanket flower. They are beautiful and so delicate!
-
I could only find orange and yellow blanket flowers and the African Daisies only had the outer petals. I am stumped.
-
wow, sooo many gorgeous pictures! Lisa, we almost met when you came to Phila, does that count??? Blondie, our trailer is in a campground on Route 47 just a bit north of the Villas. If you drive by Hideaway Beach, wave HI for us till we get down there in a few weeks, okay?
-
Could they be a form of Aster or Passion Flower????
-
Marlegal I sure will my gf has a trailer at Holly Lake, was there before the season last year... I know exactly where Hideaway Beach is on the right hand side correct....
-
Just reading up on what everyone has been up to...... I've been held hostage by visitors. Well not really, hostage that is. But we've been busy. Baseball and all that stuff. Spring training here in FL so we went to some games, had to visit antique shops too.
I'm missing the beachies....
-
lovely samsue
-
I checked out Asters as well, barbe. I couldn't find a matching photo. The leaves loked more daisy than passion flower, but I thought of that, too. I love passion flowers, but DH doesn't want anything vining.
Great picture, Samsue.
-
Maybe it's a mutt flower.
-
I'm having an "over-night-spring-break-slumber-party" w a friend.
We may make it to the beach??
Thunderstorms make it a tad-bit "iffy".
Will report in with a verdict at the end of the day.
Everyone splash happy!!!
-
have fun, Faithie.
-
that looks like a great blue heron in a color phase
-
I think the flower is some sort of aftrican daisy ground cover..I just hadn't seen one quite like it before
-
I scanned through as much African Daisy stuff as I could, but didn't see it, but I am with you.
-
Meece...check under exotic flowers.
I saw some resembling to this one. I'm not sure.
-
Roses are blooming as well
