-
Gosh I am so so glad I found this thread in 2007 ... look how close we have grown in our friendships .... I am truly blessed xxx
-
LOL, you ladies are funny!
-
Sue as my wonderful hubby reminded me of on Mom's day 9when he said how proud he was of me) look at what your body has been through over the past year or so (for me it had been 3) I sometimes (and you too) forget what hell our bodies, bones and everything else endures, dam those out in the world who say BC is a walk in the park - no problem, surgery, toxic chemicals, rads, just to name a few things, yes all those things can hurt and damage any part of your body - it takes time to heel and repair. Sue I am 3 year past any type of treatments (surgery of coarse again this past Oct) but I am still tired many days - I am not as I was before BC, close maybe, but will never been the same. Chemo, rads that stuff is not meant to be in our bodies - but it is a necessary evil to kick Bootface Butt.
You are very very hard on yourself. I want you to step back - LOOK IN THE MIRROR and be proud of yourself, for all that you have done - You have fought a hell of a war, you have some battle scars - but you MY FRIEND ARE ALIVE!!!! XOXOXOXOX
-
I wear my battle scars with pride. That's one of the reasons I didn't get a recon. I'm not ashamed of what I have overcome! My flat chest is my shield. I DARE you to ask a stupid question....(said to Joe Public).
-
I pity the poor soul who does!
-
(No one yet, but I see them look...and then the penny drop! hehehehe)
My bad?
-
I'd like to witness that!
-
Linda, I always smile when I see the topic "Please help" and then your stage name. heheheheh
If you have a Favourites list you'll see what I mean.
-
Not getting it! Maybe I should head for the mojo thread! hehehe
Please help Makraz?? Help me understand Barb!
-
Do you use a "My Favourite Topics" page? If so, I see who has posted "NEW" and then look to see who the poster is. So what I see (again) is "Please Help" and the poster is "Makraz". You gave me another smile.....

Also, you won't "get any" at the Mojo thread (I know) you just get ideas on how to "get it" better!
-
I do use that. And yes, I do need some serious help! You make me smile too! You obiously get my warped sense of humor. And my favorite saying is 'sarcasm spoken here'.
Gotta go dry my locks!
-
quick question what does....then the penny drops....mean? Is it that they get it or it registers with them?
-
Barbe & Linda you two are too funny- guess I better take a look at the Mojo thread, well I have skimmed it from time to time, never able to post, but I will admit I have read a few good ideas or two.

Hi everyone...
Now that the dust has finally settled some!!! Im back
...I read every word that each of you have written for about the last 10 pages or so but cant remember a thing other than Fumi.....Im so sorry that your going through this.....many, many hugs to you sweetie.
I didnt see anything from Judy so plan to call her this weekend to check on her.
SO............Judy if you are lurking you better speak up now!!!!! Im actually planning to give you a jingle tonight after work as we are going to Leavenworth this weekend for a short camping trip
You ladies here keep me chuckling as I read...I try to read when there's no one around as sometimes Im sure they think Ive lost my marbles!!!!
I will turn 49 in November and have never felt my age and dont think I look quite that old either but damn some days the aches and the fatigue make me feel 80....I finally complained to the oncologist last week (which shocked him silly, as I never complain) so he took me off the tamox and put me on Femara (which I will start June 15th) but unfortunately his thoughts of some of my woes being caused by tamox isnt correct as I took my self off of it 2 months ago (I know, I know, Im bad). I have a follow up with my primary in August for high cholestrol issues so will be visiting with her on this one as I really think that maybe the ortho doc was right years ago when he said he thought I have rumatoid(sp?) arthritis....Ive looked as some of the syptoms and things pretty much match up
.
Well, Im at work so need to run, but wanted to say hi & hugs to all
Jule

Ok guys, I keep typing this and my laptop keeps crashing, Now I'm giving you the shortened version...
Julz's DIL is still in the hospital. The steriods they were giving her were not working so they switched to giving them to her orally. It seems to be working better. They are hoping she will be able to come home tomorrow. Julz would like to thank everyone for their prayers, they seem to be working! I think we should continue to pray for Jule and Sarah and the rest of the family. Not an easy time for them.
Now, I am going to hit submit and it better not crash!
-
Just a quick pop-in to tell you all that I love you!!!!
I've got to drag my fat a$$ onto the treadmill now (I don't like what the scale is saying either, Sheila).
Love and hugs to all,
Karen
-
Karen - scales are dirty rotten nasty big fat looser liars - NEVER LISTEN TO THEM - LOL
But something I learned a long time ago in my weight loss journey, a woman can gain up to 5 pounds of water weight in one day (AM-PM) soooooo if you are going to weigh yourself, you must do it first thing in the AM, (right out of bed after the potty call and naked) that is your most accurate weight. And don't weigh in everyday, it gets discouraging, espically if you do get a "bloat weight" one day over another. Oh yeah and make sure the scale is sitting on a firm floor - not carpet.
-
Jule I can't believe you're going camping after that spider bite! You are very brave! Don't want to read next that you have the MRSA....
Penny drops, means they figure it out.
What is Sarah's ailment? Chrohns? If it's not too personal?
-
Colitis. I thought she mentioned that earlier. Sorry, I should have mentioned it.
-
Ooooh, good guess on my part! How does an adult have colitis? I thought that was only a baby thing...
-
Barb-David actually got his spider bite while he was spraying the foundation of our house with pesticide to keep the buggers from coming inside...the spider was in the handle of the sprayer...pretty uncanny huh?
I think colitis is something to do with the colon....not calic which is what babies get that make the cry constantly...
-
jpann, I believe is correct. Babies have colic, I was blessed with two of them!
Colitis I think is the colon and infections in the intestines etc. Not pretty.
-
Hi all. I just got off the phone with my cousin, Kirsten. She discovered a pea sized lump under her armpit this morning in the shower. She's very nervous. I assured her that it was probably nothing, but the hair was standing up on the back of my neck. Please pray that it's not bootface. Thanks!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Oh Karen, that sucks! Remember the 80% rule. I'll keep her in my prayers.
-
Thanks, Linda. I shared that statistic with her. She said it seemed to flatten when she pushed on it really hard, so hopefully it's just a cyst. She's the sweetest person in the world, and she's currently taking care of her boyfriend, who suffers from kidney failure and needs a transplant. She really doesn't need this added stress!
-
That's good to hear because mine was very hard, like a peppercorn! I sure hope she is OK!!
-
I hope shes OK Karen, it does sound like a lil cyst ...
Mine was hard too Linda...HARD AND UGLY UGLY!!! HARD!!! URGHHH ...and it wasnt pea sized it was so UGLY I couldnt put a measurement on...
PEPPERCORN
... I like peppercorns LOL
