Hey Barb, I love matching bras and panties also. I went to Lane Bryants, found a set that I really liked and bought the bra to match the panties even though I had no boobs. I stuffed the bra and wore it any way. I will have boobs again so I found the bras in the size I want to be and it made me feel good and it didn't look bad either. They have bras there that have a small air stuffer and I just took it out and bought some bra stuffers from Sears and now I'm full figured again. LOL. It still isn't easy but it is a comfort of some what.

Do they serve Kool-Aid and vodka? Where's my driver? I'll need one. I'm beginning to forget what grown-ups do, like driving.
-
Driving??? That's why we have a limo driver!! No drinking and driving here!! Let's be safe ladies!!!
That bartender can make any drink you'd like. One Kool-Aid and Vodka coming up!!
Dink - Good for you!!! I bet they make you feel great. I know I still love to go out and buy some bra's and panties. Enjoy them!!
-
Forget the Kool-Aid. I just remembered...a big, big, White Russian, please. No! make that a Dirty Mother...that's my all-time fav. Is this bar straight or gay or mixed? I want to know how to dress.
-
We accept all kinds. Dress as you'd like!
-
In that case it's frayed jeans, a baggy T-shirt, and my i-Pod. I'm too tired to look good, and the friends I'm going with love me even if I look homeless! Be there soon!
-
OMG - You have the same outfit on as I do!!
-
Hey ladies, I'm loving the bar, it looks very well. I'm drinking the wine tonight and already feeling a little tipsy - It doesn't take much that's why my DH married me - I'm a cheap drunk. LOL
I'm kindof liking the lemo driver also. Where did you find that picture of the bar?
-
The picture came from Mel....she finds the perfect pictures! That last drink has me seeing pink elephants. Afraid I'm a cheap drunk, too. I'm also feeling refreshed and a bit tempted to boogie. Hold me back!!!
-
OOOOO, you go girl, shake that thing. Don't be afraid, the elephants won't mind. LOL
-

Hey AE that pic looks like a beach bar here called Mahaufers - it is the weirdest -coolest place ever, it's decorated with all sorts of thing, bra's, panties, old bath tubs, you name it you can find it there, it has sand floors inside and out, pretty cool - pretty fun.
HOPPY EASTER TO ALL - I think I have a slight hang over, but Easter Dinner is no pressure here for us, I make pork barbacue in the crock pot, the kids come and go to the beach all day, it's strawberry season so we have shortcake for dessert. -
Cathi - that picture was actually taken in Captain Tony's Saloon in Key West 2 years ago. It is filled with hanging bra's and tons of business cards on the walls. The bar stools have the names of all famous people that have sat on them - everyone from Hemingway to Jimmy Buffett - defintely one of my favorite places I LOVED Key West. Wish I could afford to live there.
My hair is allot longer and all the curls are gone now.
-
Good morning, ladies (and UB)!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Mine was a bit stressful (dh strikes again), but I'm still so exhausted from it all, I can't muster the energy to get into it. Where was I when you guys were enjoying Happy Hour together the other night?? I was enjoying some hard apple cider that night. Pretty tasty!
Hugs,
Karen -
Karen - Been thinking of you, praying everything was calming down. Hope everyone is back in school and you have some quiet time, just you (maybe some sunshine). Maybe dh is just stressed and you get to be the lucky one he's letting it out on? Hugs and prayers for you sweetie. Never had hard cider...guess Ihave to put that one on my list of things to try.
My dh is so worried about $$, I'm not working (ssd is some, but not what I was making) ds is in 3rd yr university, dd is deciding where she wants to go, business has been VERY slow, its tax season and the list goes on...he's really stressed (but doesn't want me to know...yet another stress).
Strwberry short cake sounds wonderful. My mum used to make for Sunday dinners in summer time when we were kids, she had a strawberry patch....with heavy cream ...yummmmm
-
Oh Karen - you need a husband vacation, get a plane ticket and come to Florida. (I really mean that -bring the kids)
-
Karen - sorry you had another bout with DH. In one ear and out the other??? I'm sure that's easy for me to say, but don't take it to heart.
Hard cider? What is that?? The bar will be open friday night after work. Meet me there. Don't bring DH! Just girls night out!! -
Well, I have a small problem I posted on another thread, I used the weed-eater Friday morning (to trim up Penelope's area) and now I think I have the start of Lymphedema in my left hand. I was trying to work fast before the rain came in (we are offically out of the 2 yr drought) and my arm started getting tired but I persisted in getting the job done. Saturday morning my tricep area on that arm was sore, I thought just from working too much. But Sunday morning at church, I looked at my hands and noticed a swelling just behind my thumb. I called the doctor's office and she is the urgent care physician this evening at the office so I will go see her to get a referral to an LE therapist. I should have already been to the therapist to get base line measurements but didn't get the referral. I am a little bummed out about possible LE.
I also missed the party at the bar last week. I don't drink alchol but would love to join you with a cold sweet iced tea.

I love hard cider!!! It was just about all I drank when I was in Austratia...every pub has it on tap. Linda, it's apple cider fermented. The longer it ferments the drier it gets. I prefer one that still tastes of apple and a tiny bit sweet. Now I have to go out and buy some. Last time the one I got was too dry. Anyone know of a good label for me?
Our Easter was fabulous. The teen grandchildren set up egg coloring and an egg hunt for the two little ones...Connor and a 3-year-old grandneice. The two of them bonded and were adorable all day. I ate Swedish pancakes until I nearly burst...six of them! two with fresh strawberries and sour cream, two with blueberries and sour cream, two with butter and maple syrup. All this and the best ham I've had in years. We took turns cooking the pancakes and laughed hysterically at each other. There's quite a trick in flipping them and sometimes they break mid-flip, or land on the pan off-center. My father used to flip them flawlessly using a simple table knife!
I'm so sorry that your Easter was stressful, Karen. I don't know what to offer as advice, so I'll just keep my arms around you until you feel better.
Money stuff is very scary, Elaine, especially to a guy who is now the major support in a pricey situation. Working one's way through college is very tough, but there might need to be a compromise over time. You will find ways to work it out. At least with ssd you won't have the worry of huge medical bills. Hang in there.
Love that pic, AE. Perfect place to cut loose after chemo for bootface!
Three days Connor-free for me!!! Lots to do, including rest. His mom leaves for China for a few weeks on April 29, so need to be in good shape. The other grandparents will take him some days for lunch and nap, but I'll have him every evening/night.
Holding your daughter and you in my heart, Cathi. I, too, have had two friends with cervical ca that had simple conization of the cervix and no recurrence, but both were found very early. Hoping for that outcome for your daughter!
I'll close with my granddaughter's status comment for today on Facebook:
"I have the coolest grandma ever. She is the most technologically advanced grandma I know! She even has a facebook and says 'OMG' I love my grandma! ♥ "

Elaine your hubby sounds like mine and business is really poor,he tries his best not to "let on to me" but its pretty obvious and we received a letter Saturday that his health insurance is going up another $70 in June it went up $40 on 1/09 - we noticed this letter said" in addition to medical premiums your rate includes administrative and managed care fees" so Ed is sure some big wig is getting a nice fat raise, We pay so much now for insurance it is just crazy.
Judie your Easter sounded great - isn't it cool when our grandchildren think we are the bomb - I love it.
Shelia good luck with your appointment.
