I looked up some information of the PMT and all it is is a tissue expander placed under the skin and there is a port like thing that they insert the saline in and it expands the breast but the tissue intertwines with your normal tissue and the two become one.  When they get to the size and shap you want they just go in with the implane but nothing comes out.  I think that is how it works if I'm reading correctly.

Lisa - you sound like your having a great time meeting men, talking, and feeling good.  I think it's great, just be careful.

Cathi, I;m glad the wee baby is home.  Isn't it nice to be a new mommy?

Thanks Leesa.  It can be fun..but also disheartening.  I am always careful..gotta be!

Barb...thanks...I think so too! You are right...life is too short. He really has a kind face. It spoke volumes to me..when he said..he took care of his elderly mother this past fall and winter.

Believe me ladies...I will keep you updated...haha.  I think we may meet tomorrow!!

Such a silly school girl I am! lol

Hi everyone!  Just a quick one--it's my dad's birthday and my mom and I are taking flowers and balloons out to the cemetary.  I hate that he's no longer here in person, but I know he's with us in spirit.

Lisa--go for it girl!!  Who cares if he isn't what you thought you'd end up with as far as his physical qualities.  He sounds really sweet, caring, and kind!  A great smile is a BIGGIE for me!  I can't wait to hear how it goes when you meet him!  Good luck!!!

Welcome home, Margo!!!!  Can't wait to see more pics!  Sorry about the puke.  I think they all do that on the ride home.  Rusty sure did--all over Portia!  LOL!!!!!!!!

Sorry Leesa, but since I didn't have a mastectomy, I don't know much about the whole reconstruction thing.  I loved the questions you asked about the cadaver tissue.  Funny!!  Sounds like something I'd say.  Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

I'm down six pounds and counting ladies!!!  It's a very healthy diet, but certainly not very satisfying.  Oh well....

    Hugs to all,

    Karen

Karen...hugs to you and your mom today!  Remember how much your dad is watching over you..and loves you!!!

Six pounds...wow!! Karen..that is really really good!! I am happy for you. I would love to know the detox part. I could use that...just because I think everyone needs that at least 1 time a year.

    Keep it going Karen!!

Barb..yes...I think how they treat their mother does say allot.

    xoxo

Lisa, all I can say is if you watched "Sex and the City", Charlotte looked for the perfect man, thought she had found it in her first husband, only to find that what "looked good" might hide some serious personality flaws...and ended up very happy with a bald man.

My ex was not bald when we married, but was seriously on his way, lol. After we divorced, he shaved what little was left to look "cool and hip."

Lisa, follow your heart. Its not about height, weight, hair etc. I have seen that when you are not looking, not concerned about being "with someone" is usually when you meet the one. Know that its ok to be on your own, you are GREAT just the way you are, you don't need anyone to be you. Follow your heart and see what happens. He sounds great.

    Welcome home Margo Smile

    Conor is such a cutie!

I realized the sweater design doesn't show up in the other photo, so here's a closeup:

That was such fun to knit. Maybe I should start knitting again.

Hi all, tomorrow I go in to Physical Therapy to try that for my hip.  I don't have arthritis, according to my GP's x-rays.  I was hoping he would send me to a Othopedic, but no luck.

Walt seems just fine, recovered very well.  They did a doppler of his neck to check for blockages, there were none, then did a CT brain scan, and found nothing.  But he did look at me and say, ugrmseb?  So who knows?

Cathi, I don't know if you have heard from your daughter's PAP thingy, but my old daughter-in-law had a REALLY bad PAP smear, she was scared to death, went in and they did a core biopsy, and that was 15 years ago and she is fine.  It was nothing but goofy cells.

I LOVE that dinosaur sweater, now Towhee, knit 25, in all sizes, and send them to that uber high class boutique in Hollywood on Rodeo Drive, maybe $500 a piece???  That sweater is adorable.

I LOVE all the photos, such adorable children and pets.  I am feeling just fine, I need to get this hip thing straightened out.  May be old age, ARGGGGGGHHH.

Hugs and kisses to all, Shirlann

Thanks Shirlan for the good words, I am hoping it is something goofy, her appointment is Wednesday AM, I am going with her, I am more scared than her for sure.

I bethie,  I grew up in Amsterdam NY, of coarse spent alot of shopping time in Albany area that where all the good malls were as a teenager.

My computer is seriously ill & I hope my son can fix it for me. My youngest son has lent me his old computer so it's good to 'see y'all' again.

AE, please give UB my love. I am so sorry that he has to keep battling this stinking disease.

Cathi - your grand daughter is so pretty and Margot is the cutest little thing! Praying that your daughter's doctors give her some good news soon.

Judie - what a great jumper - you are so mulit-talented! And Connor is such a beautiful child. I think knitting is relaxing. I'm not a good knitter but I find it soothing.

Karen - you are doing so well with your diet - good for you. Hope you and your mother were able to comfort and cheer each other.

Shirlann - I hope the PT helps your sore hip. It sounds very uncomfortable. That is great that Walt's scan was clear.

Lisa - I really like the sound of Michael. Were you able to meet him? Can't wait to hear more!

Leesa - that sounds so interesting about the PMT. How do they stop the body from rejecting foreign tissue (from the cadaver)?

Love to all I have mentioned and all I haven't.

Judi, I love the sweater and Connor is so precious and has the biggest eyes I've seen, they are so bright and full of life.

Cathi - love the children (that includes Margo as she is the new baby).  The pink and black are just gorgeous.

Lisa - I hope you are enjoying Michael.

Shirlann Nice to hear from you, I hope your hip is doing well.  Sorry you are hurting.

Jane - I;m not sure how they keep the tissue from rejecting but some how this is suppose to work better.  I read about it on my doctor's partner's web site.  She has had lots of good luck with it they say. Thanks for asking.

Hi everyone!  I'm getting ready to call it a night, but I just had to pop in and comment on the great pictures.

Judie, I swear, that Connor is the most gorgeous little boy!!  He reminds me of those beautiful children on Jon and Kate Plus 8.  Too cute!!  The sweater is adorable.  I've never tried knitting, but I made an attempt at crocheting one time.  It was very sad!

Cathi, Margo is so sweet!  I love her little Playmate shirt!  Cute!!!!  Your granddaughter is a doll!

Hi Shirlann.  I'm so glad to see you here!  I'm having lots of trouble with my hip too.  It's getting more and more sore.  I'll have to see what my onc says next month.  She'll probably send me for an x-ray.  I'm so glad to hear that Walt's scan was clear.

Hi Jane!  Hi Leesa, Elaine, Lisa, Bethie, AE and UB (still saying tons of prayers for you), Nancy, and everyone else--much love to each and every one of you!

    Hugs,

    Karen

Oh!  Forgot to tell you all that we've booked our vacation to Vegas!  We're staying at the Mandalay Bay in a deluxe 750 sq ft room, for six nights, and we're renting a Cadillac to cruise around in!  Rhuel wants to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park.  I'm just excited for the warm weather!  It was snowing here again this morning!  Blah!!  I'm tired of the cold!

G'night!  I'm off to dream about bright lights and sunshine!!

Karen - that is just great about Vegas! Wow - a Cadillac and a great room - you will have a ball! I loved the Grand Canyon & Zion when I was there nearly 23 years ago - although all the kids were vomiting - the joys of travelling with kids and pets!

Cathi, what adorable little ones!!! Did you go out and buy coordinating outfits for Margo and Alexcis? Too cute for words!

Congratulations on hitting the halfway point, Bethie! Hang in there.

Shirlann, $500 wouldn't be enough. After buying yarn, which isn't cheap, with my speed I'd make less than minimum wage for sure. Knitting is a labor of love. Of course I knitted that sweater 19 years ago. I used to be a knitting feind. It's been a long time since then. Fingers and toes crossed that you find relief at PT.

Hi Leesa. I'll be interested in how your expander/implant experience goes. Fascinating.

Good to see you, Jane. I hope your son can revive your computer! We feel your absence. How would we ever survive without stories of vomiting in the Grand Canyon?!!!Laughing

Karen, I wish you could tuck me in your trunk, but I'm sure it will be full. Zion is nice, but my heart is in Bryce Canyon...spectacular. There is a tiny town near the entrance called Tropic. My great-grandfather was one of the pioneers who created it, and my grandmother grew up there. As a teenager, she was always getting into trouble for taking off on her horse after school and riding until dark.  Heaven. You've earned this trip, and so has your husband. Enjoy every moment!

It's nearly 3am. What am I doing? No brains.

Judie actually Ed bought Margos sweater, Go fiqure (Playgirl - LOL),  I bought some really cool Knit ones with little scaarfs attached,  in the AM she is chilly and shakes.

Karen sounds like you are going to have a grand time in Vegas,  I saw the news where you girls were having snow again, even growing up in cold country after being here 10 years now I can't imagine still dealing with that stuff, I hate to keep rubbing it in but it is GRAND, but before you know it our unbearable heat will be here, I still would not change those months for the snow/cold, just as long as the nasty hurricanes stay away.

Judie hope you got some sleep,  wait what am I talking about, wish I could get a full nights sleep,  HA.  Today we are going to practice "leash walking"  it will be good for me too, I have been a slacker on walking lately.

Lisa - GO FOR IT!!  He sounds really nice and coming for a huge Italian family, I agree with your dad!!  I hope you too meet and really hit it off.  Let us know what happens.

Portia - Your trip sounds perfect, cruising around will be tons of fun!!  ENJOY!

    Towee - GO TO SLEEP!!

Cathi - Ed shops too?  My dh hates to shop unless it's for parts for his Harley.  Actually I guess he would have bought a new puppy a harley T shirt since they sell those at the dealership.

Geebug - good luck with the computer.  I hate when mine is down but am awful glad my kids are computer savy.

Shirlann - hope your hip is feeling better!

    Have a great day everyone.

Yup he shops too, I am very lucky,  we go shopping (grocery /misc) together all the time, when it is football season though  - sometimes that changes a bit.  Now mind you I do go by myself  as does he, but he has no problem going with me or alone.  I ABSOLUTELY hate going to Lowes with him though if it is for a tool or wood -  UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So boring,  it takes forever.  Thats where the word "ANAL" must have been derived from -  LOL
