Sisters sorry I havent been around lately...I have had the worst christmas ... working bar xmas day... I am really thinking of quitting as it is eating my life up too much and the balance is zilch.
I am also still having pains in my head .... and am now feeling sick with it... it is unnerving me no end... just sporadic stabs and nausea ... hmmm ....
I love you all...
thankyou for your love and support your xmas cards ... they are all so treasured xxx
I just feel so off colour lately xxx

I'm so sorry you've had a bad Christmas, Sue. Maybe you should quit. It's been pretty obvious to me that they take you for granted and over-work you. You are worth so much more than they have to offer you. Find a place where you're appreciated for all your hard work and talents!
Take care!
Love and hugs,
Karen

Judie , I know you got my pm. I am still in shock. Words just can't express my sorrow. The album was so beautiful. Thank God for the memories. You take all the alone time you need. I've lit a candle for you and your son. It is located under BCO. Love you Judie.xxxxxx

Sue - have you ever gotten your head checked by the doctor. I;m really worried about you and I don't think it is all work related. Please go to the doctor and find out for sure what is going on.

Hello everyone. Hope you had a great Christmas. Those that didn't , I hope the New Year will hold a brighter tomorrow.
I had a bitter sweet holiday. My son was with me , and of course that was sweet. But my friends son , came for the holiday , and ended up having to have breathing treatments after he left the house. So I had to "move' the girls. It just so happens that my "ex" SO decided he didn't want to move to Pa.. So he is back here in an apartment. So he took the girls. At first he said it would be a "package deal" , that I should come back to. I said "no thank you". He keeps asking me to come back. I just don't trust him. I want my own place. And then I will take the girls. I really am happy though that they are with him. They have more room and don't have to worry about the other cats get to them. Although Sweetpea is in heat , so I have to get her to the vets asap. Poor baby , she wants some lovin'!lol
Hi Sue
Sorry to hear you are still feeling bad. When you were on vacation , did your head hurt then? Has it always been hurting , I can't remember what you did to it. But it sounds like you have a lot of stress at work. If you can , I think you should quit. They do seem to take advantage of you , and its not worth it. I know the economy is bad everywhere right now. But I think with your skills and brains , you could find a job that respects you for that and not take advantage of it. Your employed right now and thats the best time to look for a job. And you can pick and choose. Even if the stress isn't causing your head pain it certainly isn't helping. Love you Sue. Hope the New Year brings you peace and happiness.xxxx
Lisa , OK girlfriend , what did darling Dennis get you for Christmas?!? Did you have a good one? I hope our little Oliver is on the mend and feeling much better. Hows all your girls doing? I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas. Are you off for New Years? I hope you and Dennis can do something fun and romantic. Love you Lisa. xxxx
Jane , Gosh I miss talking here with you. Did you post a pic of your home? I don't know what all I missed. I hope you are loving life there. How is it living with your hubby again? And how is Blossom!?! We need a pic of her too. Did you get to see your boys over the holiday? Hope they are all fine. Miss you Jane , Have a Happy New Year. I love seeing on the news every year , when they show the fire works from Austrailia. Just beautiful!xxxx
Shirlann , hope you are fine and feeling well. Hows the furbabies doing? How was your trip? Wow , another person overboard on a cruise ship. How tragic. Shirlann , I've never been on one before , is it that easy to "fall overboard" on one of those ships? They just seem like so many in this last year that have. Sorry , didn't mean to get so morbid. Hows Walt doing? Hope all is well with you guys.xxxx
OK Cathi , I think we got the message , you simply love the hot weather and sunshine!lol I sure do miss the sunshine. I hope you and your family had a sunny , wonderful Christmas. Hope all is well with you. xxxx
Hi Leesa , go to see you here. Did you have a good Christmas? I hope so. Do you live where it is cold or like Cathi , where it is warm? Which ever , I hope it was peaceful and warm and fuzzy!xxxx
Hi Sheila , Nancy , Fumi , Jule , Wren , Kathi , Cheryl, AE and UB ,Shari , Md mouse and anyone I forgot , I usually remember after I hit submit! Take care and lets remember all who are going through a "rough " time right now , no matter what the situation , that God shall Bless them and keep them in His Hands. Love you all. Mel

Oh Mel, I always feel good after I read one of your posts. I did laugh over your cat in heat! They do get rather brazen, don't they! Many, many good wishes to you too, for the rest of 2008 and for 2009.
Judie, I think of you each day and hope and pray that you are able to endure this severe sadness. Lots of love and hugs to you.
Cheryl, my thoughts and prayers are also with you, that you are able to put your worst fears aside while you wait more definite news. Enduring this waiting over the holidays must be extremely difficult as everything seems to close up and it seems that it will take forever to get a plan of action drawn up.
Sue, I hope you can get checked out soon by a medical person who gives you time and attention - to put your mind at ease. However, I do agree with the others - I wish you could leave your current job. You are an extremely valuable, conscientious worker with a wealth of experience. I am sure you would be very employable if you left this job that is eating away at you. I so wish you could find an employer who appreciated you and didn't work you ragged. It's not fair!
My S/O is with me for a week (he usually stays in the city during the week due to his work) so it's just so great to have a relaxing time together. Today we are planting herbs in the garden. We went out for coffee earlier. Two of my sons and their overseas visitors (two Canadian sisters) came and stayed for a couple of days. They are on a road trip up the coast, camping on beaches and staying with friends. It was so great to have them all - nice to cook up generous servings for a change - seems to make cooking really worth it!
Must get back to the gardening. Lots of love to you all as well as UB & AE, Shari, Md mouse, Jule, Wren, Sheila, Leesa, Karen, Fumi, Nancy, Shirlann, Lisa, Ann, Ulla, Kaloni, Cathi and everyone.

How is everyone doing? Sue, Please have someone check out your headaches. And I am with the others, your bosses are just taking advantage of you. Just start checking out other job opportunities before you quit.
I don't have time to comment on all posts (or the memory to know who said what! and I didn't even have chemo). I want to say I hope all have a happy and healthy new year.
Check out www.throughhealingeyes.org and look at the calendar pages for 2009 calendar. You will be surprised at what you see. (note, don't use the tab on the left side of the page to see 2009. Use the Calendar button at the top of the page, then click on the front cover of 2009. Check out November.

Sheila...beautiful! It's very nice..and I love seeing your pic upclose!
Keeping it short...I am at work today..and it's been a hellish one for me.
Sue..ditto..get your head checked,,,and check out the classified.
Mel...xoxox...to you! I still have not logged on at home to see our dear Judie's pics. (the girls have occupied the computer for days). Christmas was good. I got lots of goodies from my sweetheart! A 3 heart necklace...small, medium and larger (none very big) dangel in a row..with a diamond in each one. A gift cert. for Victoria secret. A beautiful heart shaped leather keychain, and a "big bill"..haha..to spend as I wish. He is so good to me! he is making plans for NY eve...not sure where he is taking me yet! He met my whole family...and that went very well.
I can't believe your ex wants you to come back..well I can..but you know what I mean. No..you need to be on your own..not go backwards. I hope your Christmas with Adam was good.
Karen..thanks for the info! You are a doll!
Love to all of you. I am ready for my life to slow down a bit. Know I think about all of you ALL the time!! Sending special love and hugs to our Judie!! Prayers are a constant!
Thanks Mel for the candle site..going now!
xoxo

Hi my family,
I posted this on the mets board for all my sisters with stage IV BC but thought I'd post it here as well because some of my precious friends here are also in pain either physically or emotionally.
I gathered some inspiring quotes over the internet and the pictures that were posted by Patrice (gsg) here on BCO, then put them together and made a calendar. I hope the pictures and the quotes inspire you and help you all find strength just like they did for me. Sometimes pictures could say more than words. It's a PDF file that is printable on letter size paper. If you want to save it on to your computer, right-click on the link and select "save as". If you can't open/view it, you will have to download Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can get from here http://get.adobe.com/reader/ for free. For those in the U.S. http://tamako.milkcafe.to/luv/2009/women/pdf/2009women_calendar.pdf
For those in Canada http://tamako.milkcafe.to/luv/2009/women/pdf/ca/2009women_calendar_ca.pdf
For those in Australia http://tamako.milkcafe.to/luv/2009/women/pdf/au/2009women_calendar_au.pdf
For those in the U.K. http://tamako.milkcafe.to/luv/2009/women/pdf/uk/2009women_calendar_uk.pdf
May you all have a wonderful new year filled with laughter, my friends.
Hugs,
Fumi -
Dropping by to wish Sue and all of you wonderful ladies on this thread a happy and healthy 2009.

Fumi, What a beautiful calendar! I already have the one that Sheila's group produced up in my kitchen and now this one will go in my bedroom (a little too, ahem, bare for the family).
Best wishes for the new year to everyone. I don't know if I will have time to post again before the ball drops in Times Square. I'm trying to plan a quick getaway with some family members for New Year's Eve. We hope to leave tomorrow morning and return Friday or Saturday. So here's good riddance to 2008! And a hopeful hello to 2009!
-
Fumi - that is a beautiful calendar - would love to get one. Sheila - I couldn't view your calendar - for some reason it is blocked to me.
I want to wish all my beautiful sisters and UB and everyone here the very best wishes for 2009. I hope it is filled with many happy moments. I know it will be a struggle for some of you for a variety of reasons but I pray that you will have strength, receive comfort and support and overcome all challenges.
Love and hugs,
Jane oxoxxo

Dear Friends,
A quick stop by as we have been busy with company this week, a wonderful time, but a bit tired. Tonite we are all going to our favorite "disco club" to ring in the new year. I am excited as everyone that goes there really gets all decked out , love getting all frilly and dressed up.
With so much sadness in the hearts of some it seems hard to say 'HAPPY NEW YEAR" I can only hope and pray that each day will ease the hurt and pain for you, and that in 2009 we will all enjoy only good days, love, health and happiness.
XOXOXOXOXO -Cathi

Jane, did you click on the tab on the left side of the page that said calendar 2009? If so that link is not working but go to the top of the page where it says calendars and click on that tab and you can see the fronts of all the calendars and the 2009 calendar is at the bottom of that page. After opening up the 2009 calendar you will see additional pages on the right. Mine is the November page. I have notified Katheryn that the link on the front page of the site is not working.
I just noticed that if you go to other pages on that site, the bar at the top of each page has other pictures from the 2009 calendar, they just are not identified as such.
It is hard to say 'HAPPY NEW YEAR' because of all the sadness that has occured in 2008, but my wish for all is that 2009 will be healthier, better and happier than this past year has been.
Love, Sheila
-
It's official that 2009 has already begun on my end of the world.
Here's wishing each and every one of you a very happy and healthy new year.
May 2009 find you surrounded by love, laughter and joy.
Happy, Happy New Year to All, my cyber family!
Hugs,
Fumi

Fumi, I wish I could see your calendar but the 'internet guru' at the corporate offices has blocked any 'personal pages/blogs' and I cannot get to it. I am lucky that this site is not blocked (only the chat room is blocked). I will try and see it from my sister's house this evening when we go over for New Years Eve.
btw, I still have calendars available. just PM me for more information.
Sheila

Happy New Year cyber family - may it be a happy & HEALTHY one.

Sheila - it worked! I should have persevered before but was in a hurry. I love the photo of you and your mother! I looked at the May & September ones too and they are beautifully done as well. Do you know how many have been sold? I hoipe it sells really well and raises lots of money for bc research.
Well, I hope you are all enjoying the NY's festivities. Cathi - sounds as though you are going to party hard! Like Fumi, we saw the new year in over 8 hours ago now. We had a very quiet night. We sat on the verandah and watched the stars come out and for the second night in a row saw the international space station go over - looking like a huge, bright star scooting across the sky. The stars were so bright and the Milky Way was easy to see. Then we came inside and watched the Sydney fireworks on tv, wishing we had made the effort to go down and see them but it was nice not to battle traffic and crowds. I was tired as I spent yesterday cooking for friends who are arrrivng today so we will celebrate when they arrive. It's going to be a warm, bright day here.
Love to you all.

Jane glad you were able to see the additional pictures. I am not sure how many have been sold but Katheryn asked how many we had unsold a couple of weeks ago. I still have a few left but will have to settle up in January with her.
When I leave the office in 15 minutes, I will pick up my hubby from the truck parking area and go to my sister's house for a family get-together early New Year party. We have something to celebrate, my dad had a heart cath yesterday and no blockages were found and the possible problem with his kidneys due to the dye didn't occur, that means he is ok'ed for the back surgery in the new year. two years ago when he had hip replacement surgery, his kidneys didn't 'wake up' from the anestetic and he has been seeing a renal specalist because of poor kidney function since then.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
Sheila

Hi dear sisters, I had to stop in and tell Mel that, no, it is almost impossible to fall off a cruise ship, most of us don't spend much time on deck anyway, so much to do inside. But, of course, if you drink a lot, and like to climb, I can see that. I sure hope this did not happen.
I will send Fumi a few pix and you can see a little better what goes on most of the time on board. This ship had 4 pools, one adults only, 4 dining rooms, afternoon tea, down quilts, free room service 24 hours a day, candy on your pillow, buffet dining 24 hours a day, plus 3 elegant sit down meals, I look like a cow.
It is sad when an accident happens.
I will get those pix to Fumi, our computer/BC site magician!
Hugs and kisses to all, Shirl
-
Hi Shirlann!! Thanks for the info. Can't wait to see your pics. You cruise sounded fabulous. Yes , it is sad when accidents happen.
Happy New Year to you Shirlann and all my sisters here and UB too! Love ya , Mel
All my prayers for a healthy , safe , peaceful one.

Happy New Year to all my dear sisters. I love you all and wish you a happy and HEALTHY 2009!!!

Hello Ms. Mel, I did have a great Christmans and my New's Eve and New Year's Day were pretty swell also. We have the children today but they are all in the bed and resting quietly. Things are great. I live in Abilene, TX and some days it gets pretty cold especially when the wind blows but otherwise it is warm. Even when it's in the 50' and 60's and the sun is shing, It is warm. Now when the wind is blowing it is freezing. Thanks, for asking.

Sheila, The calendar is really beautiful. You are a very lovely person. Congratulations and Happy New Year.

Hello to everyone, I wish for you all to have a Happy, Healthy, and Wonderful new year. I think we all have a lot of surprises in store for us this year. Ladies, I say hold on tight and let's roll with the flow. You do not know how much you mean to me and how much I worry and think about you all. I hope everyone had a fun New Year's Eve.
Leesa

Hi sisters.
I need to tell you that I won't be around here much for awhile. I am in a bad state, emotionally and physically. I have felt this way for about a week now. I am planning on going to talk with someone. I feel like I fell into a deep black hole and can't get out. I have even shut Dennis out of my life. Not a good way to start the new year. I go for my 3 month check ups this month...and I feel like I don't even want to continue that. I sometimes feel like everyone would be better off without me around.
sorry to dump on you all. You know I love you all, and wish you the best.
xoxo
