I also had severe pain in my left ovary. I was diagnosed with bc and thyroid cancer last year. After starting on the tamoxophen, the pain went away but then I've had to deal with other side effects of the meds. Hopefully, they will get better. Please, keep that fighting spirit. You can win this battle!

Well, I guess we just have to hope and pray that they make a smart decision and decide to tell our story!
Thanks for sending the letter, Mel.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Mel...I still think we should write a letter to them. Sometimes, the handwritten letter...gets seen, or responded too....I don't know, just a thought. In the letter, we can give allot of details from our story and journey here. I don't know what you said or were able to say in the email. Let me know what you think about that.
It's a really hot and humid night here in Northeast Ohio...as it is in many areas near Ohio!! I am going to relax, now that I am home from work, and have a Corona!!
Over 7000 posts...we ROCK ladies!!
Have a great night! I will check in before bed. I wont be up too late, work tomorrow!

Wow, I remember TP-ing a few houses in my day. Sue, it's an old tradition to sneak to someone's house in the middle of the night and "decorate" the front yard with lots of toilet paper. Toilet paper was chosen because you can easily and quickly throw the roll end over bushes and trees so it drapes the tails all over the place. Just picture the bushes and trees with lots of white streamers hanging off of them.
TP is cheap, too.
It's not too hard to clean up, unless it rains. Then it's a lot of mush, but if you get the right kind, it dissolves.
We used to plan a TP raid on people we DIDN'T like, but it can mean different things in different neighborhoods. The trick is to not get caught by the homeowner OR the local police. Our MO (modus operandi) was to drive to the neighbohood of the victim, but park a street away and quietly walk to the house, do our business and then scuttle away. We'd usually end up at an all-night diner for a 4 am breakfast.
Truthfully, I only did it a couple of times, but I consider it pretty harmless fun, unless it's a crowd of kids and they damage the landscaping.

Happy Birthday AE!!!!xxxx
Love you AE.
-
Thank you so much for the Birthday greetings!!! Mel, I wish I was in Margeritaville right now!!! lol. But hey, I survived another year!!!
UB always teases me that I am one year older then him. For 12 days!!! His b-day is the 19th. hahahaha
Sue - I want to go to Liverpoo!!! The birth place of my Beatles!! I am so jealous. I can just picture you hitting on all the hot sailors. But where is your S/O??
Does anyone want to come over and hang out?? I'll make some blue drinks for all of us........................
AE
-
Happy Birthday AE!!!! I wish I could send you a great picture greeting, but I can't access them from work.
But I do send you loads of love and happy wishes!! I would love to come over and sip on a nice cool drink with you on your fun patio!! I wish I could!! It will be a hot one for you! So how does it feel to be 39?? haha!! UB...rubbing it in yet that you are older than him?? I bet he loves that! How fun!
Yes Sue...t'p ing as we call it, has been around forever. I was guilty of doing a few homes in my time. Usually when I was about 12 or so, so I couldn't go very far. We would sleep outside in sleeping bags, then sneak away when it was late and find a house with lots of trees. It was all fun. With 3 daughters, and them being rather popular, we have cleaned up many many t'ping messes..haha. It's all in fun. Olivia got most of it cleaned up, but there are still some high streamers that will just have to wait for a good wind!
Have fun "fishing" for a sailor! You are soo funny....did you put your lipstick on?? haha. Post some pics of you and the boys on your adventure today. Also of your table. Can't wait to see.
Jane, I hope you are enjoying the mountains and your weekend.
Suebee...a hot day for the race for the cure!!
Mel...are you keeping cool honey? I hope so...ice on the back of the neck and on your rists...cools the body down.
Nancy..it's fun going back and remembering the day's we did such fun harmless pranks...good times...lol
To everyone..enjoy your Saturday and weekend. I am almost halfway through my work day.
AE...again...have a great b'day...you deserve it!!!
xoxo

Val, I'm on my way down! LOL. Actually, we're just heading over to my brother's place down the street...pool, hot tub, and he's doing the cooking! Gosh, it's muggy and hot outside. LOVE IT!
-
Suebee, that is the BEST news! I know that feeling of relief, twice-over! Go celebrate. I had my ovaries out and am on AIs. Doing okay.
Shirlann, yes I weaned the Zoloft. But I'm back on it, and I like how I feel, so it may be for life!
Gorgeous late spring weather here in the foothills today. Hard to stay inside. I've been out weed-whacking, and pulling weeds in my little vegetable garden. I think I'll cut my lettuce tomorrow!
I'm happy to report that my nerve pain is getting a tiny bit better. I quit the Lyrica because I really felt impaired (inspite of great sleep!) and now I'm on old-fashioned Neurontin. Far fewer side effects for me, and almost as good sleep.
And, the best news, is that I'm back in the climbing gym, 6 weeks post exchange.
Life is good,
Anne
-
Hello everyone. Suebee , great news! I'm so glad for you. Boy , I hope you are OK at the race today. It is sooo hot and humid. My hat is off to you and all the participants for doing the race and during such a heatwave. You all rock!
AE , I'll be right over! I'll bring the little umbrellas. I always wanted to try a blue drink! Are you having a good , relaxing birthday? I hope so. You so deserve it. Hi UB! I just love what you two have done to the patio. Crank up the tunes and grab the cooler!
Hi Sue
! I hope you and your boys had a great time today on the ship.Did you wear your "lippy"?! I love that. Did you meet any cute sailors?
Nothing wrong with some healthy flirting! Please post pics and of your table too.
Nancy , hope you are having fun swimming and being with the fam.
Anne , so good to hear you are back in action. And glad your pain has eased off some. Neurontin is what I took for a herniated disk/pinched nerve. It helped me get through it. You climb girl!
OK , Jule , I need to see Libby and your roses! She sounds like such a great companion. My rose bush is in bloom , but the rain is making them hang down. I hate that. It happened last year to and they just ended up wilting , and then gone. I bet yours are beautiful. I forgot to cut mine back this year , and it looks like a wild brush! Mine are pink roses. Roses are my favorite. Hope you are having a good weekend.
Hi Jane. I know you are in the mountains right now , thinking of you and can't wait for pics!
Lisa , it is another 85 degree day in my house! I have an air conditioner in my bed room. So I go in there went I can't stand it anymore. So I take Lilly and Sweetpea with me sometimes. They are just laying around like road kill. Poor babies are hot too. I put ice in their water dish. Lilly was playing with it! You should be getting off work soon. Any plans tonight? I'm glad Danni is able to keep in contact with you. Sounds like she is having a great experience. And ice on the wrists , really does help. Thank you.xxxx
Judie , hows Agnes doing? Sweet little baby. "Honeygirl" is what I would call my Edwina. My kitty that I had to put down last July. And when I got Lilly , she was 3 months old , which means she was born in July! God never closes a door , that He doesn't open another. Hope you are having a good , peaceful weekend.
Ulla , Shirlann where are youuuuuuuuuu?
I think we all should head over to AEs and UBs for some drinks and talk of the good ole' days.... Love you all , Mel

Hi everyone, Walt is watching the Preakness, so I sneaked on his computer.
Anne, my doc said they have literally written millions of anti-dep presciptions world-wide, and to his knowledge, with no side effects long term. He told me (at 72) "Nothing good is likely to happen to you from now on, (he is a kidder), so to be ready, stay on them for life!".
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AE, AND MANY, MANY MORE!!!! That mailbox insert is adorable, and all the birthday greetings, I am so lame, I will try to get something on here that is pretty.
LITTLE SUE, HOW DO YOU STAY SO TINY?????
Silly question, you work your butt off!
I am glad, honey, you liked the bracelet. I so want to just hug you and sit and talk. Can you imagine? WOW, if Oprah only knew, how much we all would love to be together for just a few days even. But I bet she gets 500 letters a day from people, but we are quite special. I WANT to hug those boys, too, they need another gramma.
Karen, you look so pretty! You just glow.
Where is ULLA??? I hope she is feeling okay. So much going on in her life, I don't know how she does it.
Love to you all, dear sisters, Shirlann

Mel,
I am getting off in about 5 min. My plans for this evening, are sneaking to the tanning bed for a quick tan. I am trying to get a base so I don't fry in AZ next week. Then, my g/f who is having a tough time right now, wants to get together. I told her, we could come to my house, and burn all of my sticks, have a little bonfire..maybe burn some ex husband pics..lol...and drink some margarita's!! She needs a shoulder right now, and I am glad to be there for her!
Poor kitties...being hot...that has to be tough for the furbabies. I am glad the ice on the wrists helped..my mom always did that for us, when we were little. See..my dear mom is our angel too Mel.
Love to all...I am off in 1 min!! woohoo...2 days off!!
xoxo

Mel, Agnes is great. She loves being an only child and is acting like a kitten. I'm glad you are honoring Edwina by being honeygirl for us.
Springer and Sharon Osbourne judging talent? No way!
Why do you have to depress me, Anne? Climbing gym? I feel totally awesome about myself if I walk a whole two miles on a flat surface. Just kidding. Congratulations!
Jule, I love roses, too. In my innocent youth, for my church group, we girls were each supposed to choose a rose and decide what it stood for in our lives. Most chose white for spirituality, purity or something like that, pink for motherhood, friendship, etc., or red for love, service, etc. I chose yellow for intelligence. Not very spiritual. Maybe that's why church didn't stick. But I still love yellow roses, especially the wild ones. The scent is unbelievable.
Shirlann, I'm missing Ulla, too. I'm glad you are able to steal time from Walt to greet us. There's a huge hole when you aren't here.
Love from the cold, rainy Northwest,
Judie

HAPPY B-DAY AE!!!!!!!! I hope it was a wonderful one as you deserve the best.....
Ive been waiting and watching my roses daily...our silly spring just doesnt want to get here very quickly..usually they are just about in full bloom by now...right now they are just budding...I was out checking them this evening and discovered that my favorite-called The Peace Rose- has one bloom about 1/2 way open....it smells so wonderful....you guys are going to think Im silly but in the summer late at night when the dew is heavy my entire yard smells like a rose and sometime I go lay in the grass and just watch the stars and enjoy the roses....I know its silly but it is so peacful and relaxing...Im thinking with our slow, cool, moist spring my long stem white roses are going to be fantastic...there is about 3 dozen buds just waiting to open...normally I have to pick them within a day of opening or they burn and the edges turn brown but I think they will stay white this year....I have roses in just about every color you can think of and some colors more than one bush....Im trying a new one this year, its calling Sterling Silver....about 15 yrs ago there was a rose conference in this area and they had this new color rose...they ran a contest for the name and my ex husbands aunts name (Sterling Silver) was choosen...I tried to grow one before but didnt have the time to spend with it to get it going well....they are hard to find so this one is going to be my baby for awhile...
Wow, sorry about the rose book here....can you tell I love my roses???
Again, I read every post but cant remember all of them so will just wish everyone well and a wonderful weekend!!!!
Hugs to all
Jule

Happy Birthday, AE!!!! It's almost midnight where you live, so I almost didn't make it! Love you, AE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I was sipping a fruity drink with you on your cute little patio!!
Hugs,
Karen

You're so welcome, Sue. It was just a little something to show you that I love ya!! You are such an inspiration to me.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Hope all the rest of you lovely ladies are having a wonderful weekend. I'm glad most of you are enjoying nice weather. I'm jealous. What the heck is with this nasty overcast, rainy garbage we're having, Judie? I'm getting REALLY tired of it. Especially since we're starting to do some clearing on our property. It's a muddy, disgusting mess out there!
Love and hugs to everyone.

Hi to all of my sisters that are still awake!!!
I just finished my bonfire with my g/f. She needed some cheering up, so I had her over, we had popcorn..and lot's of beers...haha. We burned all of my yard rubish, sticks, etc...and also tossed in the fire pics from our weddings and our ex's...it was very theraputic!!!
