Karen, the PI invites and hosts local blogs. They are very selective, but they are not paid...just local color stuff. David Williams, the one who does the blog, writes and does photography for several fishing publications. He belongs to the same flyfishing club as my son, and is the lawyer for his trust fund from his grandparents. He's been a wonderful role model and teacher, and invited Devin to write up his trip. If you read the article, you'll see that he talks like he knows what he's doing! He loves flyfishing.

Good morning sisters!! It's almost 7am here...I got back from my run this morning, have my lunch made for work..and thought I would check in on my special ladies!!
I will check that web page Judie when I get home. I am sure it is something you are very PROUD of!! Our children are so specail, arent they?
Oh AE...I want to see a pic at night..yes, yes!! I know Danni has a router..that she used here for her lap top..it is very convenient. I hope you figure it out soon. Wish I could help...but techno...I'm not!! haha.
Sue...If you moved to the US...I think we would all be pulling at you..."live near me", " live near me"!! I will have to make a trip to see you too...Like AE & UB! Danni said..."mom get your passport..we need to take an overseas trip together"!! So...maybe someday soon!
Suebee..Pls check in with us. We want to know what you have found out about your chemo..and how you are doing. Hugs to you!!
To all my sisters...enjoy the day! Love to you all!
Off to get ready for work.

Lisa & Mel - before I forget - have a GREAT time this weekend - WE WANT PICTURES!!!

Anne, I had my exchange surgery Nov 2 and nipples done Dec 20 and tattoos at the ps office Feb and april. My nipples have flattened somewhat since the nipple surgery. I think that Earleen also does a 3-d tattoo, her site is http://www.ashevillepmc.com and some of the picts on the areola page suggest 3-d. If I knew about her before doing the nipples, I would have had her try the 3-d tattoo.
Sue, that is the problem with moving to America, where to settle when you have friends all over the country.
Karen, hope that the change in his meds helps. My dad has compromized kidney function and it causes low red blood cells. One doctor had him taking extra doses of iron but it did not help. he changed doctors and they sent him to a kidney specalist who has him taking injections that help the kidneys produce a hormone that helps the red blood count. Normally people on dialysis get this shot but he is not on dialysis. He is diabetic and that also complicates things.
Wren, I have not yet really broken down over the loss of my breasts but I know that it is coming.
AE - when John was here he realized that if he went to the back yard or was in the very corner of his room he could piggy-back on the neighbors router and get on the internet with his laptop
. We laughed about him desperatley trying to get online at my house because I don't have internet at home.
I need to get to work and do what I am being paid to do, not chat with my friends.

Karen, I don't want to try to diagnose your dear dad but about 8 years ago when my mother moved over from Perth to live with me, she had a complete physical breakdown a couple of days after she arrived - vomiting, diarrhoea etc. She had lots of blood tests and she was dangerously low in potassium. I wonder if that is what made her so sick...? I wonder if extremes in these elements in your body can make you that sick? Nothing conclusive was ever found with my mum. Anyway, she recovered and even though she is a frail little thing now, she keeps on living... Really though, it's no quality of life and she has been wishing to die for some years now. She used to say she was tired of living and would like to be at peace. "I wish the Lord would take me" she used to say when she lived with me.
I would like to comment on everyone's posts but my eyes are closing. Lovely to hear from our sweet Sue. Judie - will read your son's blog tomorrow when my eyes will stay open.
Love to all of you sweet ones,
Jane xxx

Sheila, my dad actually does see a kidney specialist for bi-weekly injections. Last week though, my mom mentioned to them that he may have had a stroke, so they wouldn't give it to him. I'm not sure if that's what's messed up his potassium level, but he's getting his injection tomorrow.
My dad says the same thing, Jane--that he just wishes he would die. I know though, that he's actually afraid of death. I would just like him to be around long enough to see our new house (I know it would mean so much to him, given the troubles we've had), and so that Chase will remember him after he's gone.
bbl, ladies. Chase's kindergarten teacher is coming by this morning to meet him. He's excited!
Hugs,
Karen

Wow! 7000 posts? That's incredible! We're awesome!!

Hello all and hugs! It's been awhile and i'm sorry for that. I've been waiting on the third onco test to be ran to get a number and guess what? no number! It came out inconclusive again!!!!!! Three times, who'd thought?! I'm speaking with my onc. tomorrow to see if there's any other way other than chemo. I doubt it but there's always hope. Anyone had a oopher.? I was just wondering that may be an option. My husbands friend sister had one and they say its age her 10 yrs.? I am soo uneducated about all of this? I guess we'll have to see tom.
I have returned to work and it's been alright. I just feel i'm in a different world now. anyone else? I just really don't care about the place anymore and i've been there 15 yrs.. It used to be my life, litterally! Now i just go to see my customers. Is that bad? I've told some that i may do chemo and they've said i'm a beautiful person regardless of hair. How come i can't think that way? Or else they just want a good haircut? lol
Anyways won't keep you all, hope everyone is well, and you're in my prayers!
HUGS AND KISSES!

P>S> Trying to read all the post to catch up.
-
Suebee - yep, you reach that point that all of the rest of us have. You are starting to see things a whole lot different now. Bootface will do that to you. Its actually not that bad, it's kinda like a new beginning. The hard part is trying to embrace it.
Just remember your hair doesn't define who you are - I think that is what your clients were saying. They think you are beautiful for who you ARE, not what your hair looks like.
Good Luck at the oncky tomorrow. Let us know what happened.
AE

Many hugs to UB for his final treatment and to AE as well. It will be so wonderful to have it behind you.
Suebee - big hugs to you too. It must be so frustrating being borderline for chemo. I so hope that they can work out a plan for you soon so you know what your treatment will be.
Love to all,
Jane xxx

Suebee...I am so sorry you are not getting answers yet!! How many times does it take to run the report and find out what you need? GRRRRR!
I agree...you will find that losing your hair is not as bad as you think it will be...as Aunt Em said..it's all what is inside..that is where the true beauty lies. Keep us informed.
Sue..you look radiant...sound radiant...I am so happy to hear you feeling so well! I bet the table looks lovely. You have so much energy girl...give me some!!
AE how did UB do today? What a relief for it to be the last tx!! WoooHOOOO...UB...so happy for you!!

OH SUE!!!! So good to see you! I was getting worried, but figured you were working. Still, what is halal????
Anne, I hope when you got off Zoloft you knew enough to do it over at least 4 weeks, 2 weeks with 1/2 pill, 2 weeks with 1/4 pill. Or, my onc said to take my anti-dep at least 2 years. So maybe, hmmm.
I am using my hubby's computer and he is glaring at me like a suspcious spider. So I will make this short.
Walt, the old grouch, is feeling fine! Thanks for asking!!
Anyway, I will get the stupid thing back (computer) in about 5 days. They make you wait that long so you won't complain about the price! I am getting a Mac next time, I am sick to death of Micro Soft.
Anyway, I missed the local luncheon with the local BC buddies, because I had the wrong day. I told them if I can get out of this straitjacket and through the door with no handles, I will make the next one. Oh, and I told them I need an extra large room so my tinfoil hat (to stop aliens) will fit. hee hee
Hugs and kisses to you all, Shirlann

What the heck? What's with all the "font" stuff? I swear, I've been having issues on this website recently. And I know I'm not the only one.
-
You are right Karen, slow and lots of issues. Darn!
Suebee...so HAPPY for you!! That is great news...I bet you are doing the happy dance today!!! What is oopher?? Have fun, and try to stay cool at the relay for life!
Shirlann, I am glad you are getting your computer back soon. Tell Walt to stop glaring...haha.
Well...no pics from Mel and I from this Sunday. We are putting it off till after I get back from my vacation. It works out better for both of us. But trust me...we will have pics for you ladies when we do have our lunch/window shopping venture!! I am looking forward to it!
Getting ready to leave work ladies. Wishing all of you a spectacular weekend! Need to get home and see if Olivia cleaned up all of the toilet paper that was hanging from our trees when I left this morning for work...haha....they did a good job!!
Much love,
Lisa

I also had severe pain in my left ovary. I was diagnosed with bc and thyroid cancer last year. After starting on the tamoxophen, the pain went away but then I've had to deal with other side effects of the meds. Hopefully, they will get better. Please, keep that fighting spirit. You can win this battle!
