John won't be here till Friday. I will leave the house between 4:00 and 4:30 am to get to the airport. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive and his plane lands at 6:10 am.

I am still looking for someone to mow my yard. Michael called me Sunday and appologized for not getting it done, he is John's best friend and lays block and bricks for several contractors in the area and is in high demand right now. Because he is a friend of John and when they were both in high school, Michael spent more time at my house than he did at his (I was the loving mother he didn't have), and I repared his worn out blue jeans,  I kinda felt like I needed to give him a break. He did however offer to pay for the last box of Angel Food I bought for him to do the work that he did not get done. His fiance is expecting a baby in June and my mom and I are planning a baby shower for them the end of May. I am going to fire up the mower and tackle the job this week a little at a time to get it done before John gets here. He probably would do it for me, but I don't want him to worry about it while he is here.

I need to go home now, so much to do . . . so little time.

    Sheila

Behid the row of houses is the pond - that is where my ducks live - they see me drive down the street from work and coming flying or running over to get fed - its hysterical.

    Photobucket

The geese ate all the grass around the pond, its used to be so pretty.

    AE...I want your townhouse!!

I could take pics of the inside of the house...or what I see when I open my front door(it is my neighbors). This is great!

Sue...I love your new Subway..especially the elephants...they must be hungry!! lol.  It looks like a big shop. Much larger than the one Olivia used to work at.

Sheila..that is an early morning for you!! It will be worth it to give your son a biggggggggggg HUG!!!

Ulla...your youngest sister Hala is beautiful.  How special would that be for her and Olivia to meet.  I know they won't, but I thought that as I saw her picture.  All of your sisters and you are so beautiful.  How many siblings do you have.  You said your mother had seven children.   I am one of seven children.  I am right in the middle, 3 older and 3 younger. 4 girls, and 3 boys.  God love my mom!!!

    Goint to make dinner.

    Love you all!!

Ulla...I forgot to tell you.  You mentioned about weighing yourself so often.  Sheila is right. You should really only weigh yourself once a day, at the very most.  Years ago, I would only weigh myself once a week. Same day, same time. I would write it down and keep track.

Now I don't weigh myself at all, except when I go to the doctors.

Don't worry about gaining weight on tamoxifin. I have not gained any at all.  Since I started exercising and eating very healthy, I have actually lost weight.  I don't think you need to worry at all about that. I have been on it for 6 months.

Good luck honey...I know you will be fine on it.

Thank you for all your nice comments about my pics. Lisa - my youngest son's ex-girlfriend looks a lot like your Olivia! I hope they will get back together again when he gets back to Australia...but if not I will have to show him Olivia'a picture! Lol!

Karen - your house is lovely! I love how it's so bright and light and cheerful inside. My house was also moved from another location. The front part is a lot older - (about 1920s?) and the kitchen, bathroom etc was built onto the back of that). It's funny to see houses going along the freeway on the back of trucks! Am I right in thinking that your area is semi-rural? If so, it's similar to where I live. I can walk out into the countryside in 10 minutes and see cows, horses and kangaroos. That's what I should be doing now but I got sidetracked by everyone's fabulous photos and posts. Must go and get some exercise in a minute.

Even though I love the lightness of white in a house, a few years ago my middle son painted a couple of feature walls brown in two rooms and it looks really cosy. So AE, I am open to different colour schemes and brown can look great! Love your cosy colour scheme in your bedroom - very pretty, restful and sleep-inducing.

Sheila - how wonderful that your dear son is coming home! You must be so excited! I had to laugh about his lack of warm clothing. James and Will have just arrived in London - they flew there from the steaming tropics. I suggested they take some warm clothes but did they listen to me?! No - of course not - it's fun to travel light with not much more than a loincloth. So they arrived in the UK last week and are complaining of the cold...hmmm...

Ulla - I love your beautiful family pics - what a cute little sister! My sister is 10 years older than I am and used to be like my mother! We feel much closer in age now that I am older - if that makes sense.

Sue - the elephants look so funny and are a great way to attract people into  Subway! Follow the elephants. You could have elephant footprints all through the streets leading to your shop!

Lisa - your house is so pretty - I love the garden - that flowering tree - too beautiful! Heath (middle son - the one with the long hair) just looked over my shoulder at Olivia's pic and said "mmm...I think I could handle an arranged marriage!!" Lol!

Well, must stop gasbagging and go for my walk.

Love to everybody including those I haven't mentioned here but I don't want to make this any longer!

(feeling left out because nobody wanted a tour, Judie goes outside and struggles to find an angle to photograph her house, trespassing as she does) Innocent

    The ancient Honda is mine...

As you can see, we're still under construction.

And now the entryway: (sorry about the construction dust)

And my favorite place...The niches are for a painting above the stairwell and a sculpture to the right. The theme of the house is curves and diamonds.

Judie...what a lovely, beautiful home!  Did you just build your home?  wow..very nice.

Ulla...I just love the pics! You are so breathtaking!

I think it's so special that we are both one of 7 children.  God bless our mothers!

Jane!! How funny about your son! What are the ages of your boys again?  I think you have told me, but I forget.  They are so darn handsome!  I know they got all of their looks from their mamma!

Your boys sure do travel allot! Is it work related, or just for fun?

Still making dinner for Olivia and I.  Alise comes home this weekend, but I will be in Chicago with Danielle...so excited!!

    bbl...

juide it reminds my of my family huge house,,after i married i lived with dh in the frlat that u saw above when my family spent the new year with me..

then we moved to another house which was really big,,1200sqm

i felt bad in that huge house alone ,,as dh was really busy all the time ,,then he had been kidnapped and i was threatened to be killed ,,that was wen we dicided that we cant live in the country any more as it begin to be seriousely dangerouse so we came to sweden and i feel happy that we did inspite of the fact that i do really miss the big homes here,,
