WHEW, what a horrible job, I will not try anyone's patience anymore with photos, but thanks to TowHee, I got SOMETHING to share!
I am exhausted, this has fried my brain and it is goofy anyway.
Love you all, Shirlann

Ooooohhhh! I love all the new pics! As Judie said, it was a gorgeous day here, so I was out and about all day. I finally have a chance to catch up on all the posts from today. Sue, the pic of you as a little girl is precious! And the other shows your bright, beautiful smile! I love it! Shirlann, I love the pics you posted too. I'm so glad you were able to do it. AE, the pic of UB with the dogs is hysterical! I also loved all your homes. So interesting to see how differently we all live. You all have beautiful homes! Ulla, your little flat is so adorable! I love your taste in furnishings--and the kitchen is so cozy and cute! I'll have to take a pic of our current home--we never anticipated being here for more than a year. We were supposed to be in our new home by now, but hit some major snags (including bootface). I think we've finally decided on a house plan. It's a rambler, and only 2,300 square feet, but I think I can live with it.
Love to everyone!

My 3 sons. They're the tall ones.

My sister holding her latest grand daughter.

My latest grand niece, Grace.

Sorry if these are too big. I'm learning! Hopefully, I will get better at this!
-
AE, Ulla & Sue - I love the photos of your houses - so pretty! And the dogs and UB asleep - priceless! How lovely to have the beautiful ducks in your back yard!
Sue - what a dear little girl you were and I love the one of you 35 years later - you have such a sweet face.
Shirlann - I love that photos of your grandchildren - they are all so cute! And such and amazing action shot of your whippet (I want a whippet!) - poetry in motion!
Love to everyone.

Hope this doesn't make you all feel cold! This was taken in Canada in December.
-
Shirlann- love the pics - that dog of yours is beautiful.
Jane - OMG!!!! Your sons are hottie's!!!! WOW!!! They could be models. So happy to finally see what you look like. I know where your sons get their good looks from.
Karen - I would kill for 2300 sq.ft. I have half that!!! LOL.

Good morning sisters! Omg...I am loving all the photos!! What a great idea AE to put pics of everyone's homes. I will have to take one and post it. AE...I love the townhouse..that is what I need. I have 2600,00 sq ft. and I don't need it anymore!! A big yard too, and that is what I have to go out and tend to now.
Sue..love the pic of you when you are little!! Too adorable, but like AE said...you can tell you were probably a little dickens..haha. Ulla...I love your flat. It's very retro!! Very very nice!
Jane..omg...You are just as I pictured. Funny how we envision people. I pictured you with brown hair, not quiet as long, but with a sweet kind face, but also wise. And look how your pic came across! Love it! Your son's are very hot!! Oh my!! How old are they?? Darn...my 3 girls, your 3 boys...haha!! I think they are a bit older than my daughters. Wait till I show Olivia that pic...her large eyes will be huge!!
Shirlann...love the pics too! Especially of the grandchildren...how blessed you are! I can't wait for many many grandchildren!!
I will try and get back here tonight. I have grocery shopping to do and some yardwork and laundry..some day off huh?? haha.
bye the way AE...tell UB, I love the brown bedroom color!! Brown is my favorite color...but I like dark colors on bedrooms. I should take a pic of my bedroom and post it. Not sure if I told you all the story, but this time last year while I was in the beginning of my tx's. My sister from Arizona and my very best friend here...came and did a makeover on my bedroom!! It turned out absolutely beautiful!! Totally different! What a gift that was..my very own sanctuary to recover in!
Nancy...hope you are resting and start feeling better.
Ok...I am off to get my work done.
xoxo

I have been trying to catch up on all the posts this weekend. I love all the picts. I will try and get some put on when John gets home this weekend. He called Saturday, he was going to Seattle area to see a friend and spent 4 hours in the Denver airport. He said he was freezing, it was 20 degrees in Denver and he was in shorts and a t-shirt and all his long pants were in his checked luggage.
Check in later.

Ulla, I was on the tamox after my 2nd dx of ADH (pre cancer) and I found that if I took it in the evenings, I did not have the night sweats as bad as when I took it in the morning. I did not put on weight but then I did not lose any either. After my mastectomy last summer, they took me off the tamox but are watching my ovaries for problems. I physically can't carry another child but I need the hormones to help my bone strength. You can also check on the hormone section and see what others are saying about tamox.
sometimes I wonder about these doctors, they don't know what is going on in your head and if you need the antidepressants, they should give them to you, even for a short time to get you through this traumatic situation.
I also have an answer to weighing yourself, I was part of a 'First Place' weight group and they said to weigh yourself every day at the same time, don't obsess with gains or losses day by day, but make a chart and write it down every day and once a week take the weigh-ins and average them for the previous 7 days to get your average weight. This takes into account the daily fluctuations for hormone changes and you get a more accurate weight.

TY SO MUCH SHEILA FOR THE FEED BACK,,
I WILL TAKE MY 1ST PILL TONIGHT,,AND WILL ASK ABOUT THE INJECTIONS LATER,,
I USED TO WEIGH MYSELF MANY TIMES DAILY,,AND I AM DONE WITH THAT ,,I DECIDED TO DO AS U SAY ..AND TAKE THE LESS WEIGHT TO CONSIDER IT AS WAT I COULD REACH TOO..I AM WRITING IT ON MY CALENDER MONTHLY,,AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH I WRITE THE MINMUM WEIGHT THAT I START THE MONTH WITH IT THEN WEIGH MYSELF AT THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT MONTH AND TAKE THE MINMUM NO.TOO
IN THIS WAY I WILL HAVE 2 MAJOR NO.S TO COMPARE BETWEEN MONTHLY AND ACCORDING TO THAT I FORUND THAT I HAVE LOST ABOUT 12 POUNDS SINCE I STARTED MY DIET AND TRAINNING.,,,BUT I AM REALLY WORIED THAT IT MIGHT AFFECT MY PLANS TO LOSE THE REST OF CANCER POUNDS (I STILL HAVE ABOUT 30 POUNDS TO GET OFF...)ANYWAY ,,IF IT SLOWS MY WEIGHT LOSS I WILL LESSEN MY FOOD INTAKE MORE..
LOVE U SISTERS

Hi all my lovely firends, gee, I sure wish we could all get together for a cuppa and a chin wag.
Sue, I love your poem, it was so sweet,
Ulla, your house looks just like you, LOVELY!
Jane, those boys are gorgeous! G'day mates!
I love the photos, it gives me a warm feeling to see the homes and familes of all you women who have become so dear to me!
Sheila, that is so funny with your son freezing, who could have known?
-
shirlann, sometimes I wonder about my son, he is smart but sometimes I just wonder what was he thinking. Of course he just came from the tropics at sea level and didn't think about the temp a mile high. When he came home Christmas 06, the first place he wanted to go was Walmart to purchase a winter coat. He had his navy blue pea coat but could only wear it with his uniform. I have not talked to him since he got to Seattle but I am sure that he is wearing appropriate clothing now. I will try and let him know what to expect when he lands here Friday.

Ok. I took some pics of our house. It isn't nearly as nice as all yours, but it is what it is (plus, we've never planned to be here long-term because it's just way too small for the four of us). This was MY house before my dh and I married. It was perfect for Portia and myself. It's a 1,750 sq ft manufactured home. It was brand new and really nice when I purchased it. We moved it almost two years ago, and haven't had the cracks and other damage fixed yet. We'll be doing that after we move out, in preparation for renters. As you can see, we're sort of in the boonies. The lawn in front really needs to be cut in the worst way! We were gone all weekend, so it didn't get done. We're also in the process of fixing our rock wall. It will be really nice when it's done.
-
This is the view from our front door. The gray car is mine. The pickup is dh's.
-
This was taken from our front room, looking into the kitchen. I was watching Ellen!!! LOVE her!!
-
This is the dining area, looking out onto the back deck. My beautiful flowers are dying, but I don't have the heart to throw them out. Do you like our mismatched chairs? One of the green ones tipped over and broke. We really do have to buy a new one to match!
-
This is looking out into the backyard.
-
Jane, I pictured you with brown hair too! I love that pic of you! You have such a gorgeous smile! And talk about GORGEOUS--those sons of yours are seriously hot, hot, hotties!!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Sisters, this is so much fun! I feel like I am there with you in your homes! Karen, I think your home is adorable. I love all the clean lines. I forgot to say...I love Sue's house too, but I pictured her in an older brownstone style...I guess in my head, I feel like everything in the UK is older and very quaint. Shirlann, your house is pretty much like I pictured..very lovely and very California. Love the look. Did I miss anyone?? Sorry if I did.
Haha to Sue...she is fixing my girls and Jane's boys up! I would have to agree...they would be some fine looking grandchildren for us!!
Ok..I took some pics today, in between the laundry, grocery shopping and errands. I will try and post them now.
-
This is the front of my house. The flowering tree closest to the door, has really grown in the 14 yrs I have been here! It kinda overtakes the house, but I love that tree. Karen, luckily Olivia mowed yesterday..or it would have been long! -
this is just a different view of the front. Olivia and I both wish that the flowering trees would stay that pretty all summer! This is part of the back of the house. Notice the paint peeling!! My ex painted this several years ago, not sure why all the eaves have pealed.
-
Ok..you all are going to get sick of my pictures! But I do find this a neat way for us to know eachother better.
Earlier I told you about my sister from Arizona and my very best friend from childhood (she went to all 8 of my tx's with me) who did a room makeover for me on my bedroom, well here are pics of my room. Just to give you some insight...the room was a floral paper, blue's and white and green...it's totally different now! I love them..they worked so hard..and did such a great job. This was done last May, right after my new husband walked out!
This is the view of my " accent" wall, it's a rusty color...Look at Oliver..he matches my bed!
The other walls are gold. I picked out the comforter, and chose the colors from it. New drapes and all. The wall beyond the tv with the pics..I call it my black and white wall. That was my comfort thru tx's...it's all black & white pics of my parents and me when I was little and of my girls and my siblings!
This is looking into my dressing area. They did an accent wall in there too and bought me a new mirror and hanging light.
this is the dressing area...see the mirror. on the wall are pics of my parents with my daughters.
-
One last pic....Olivia helped me download them on the computer..and I took this of her and Ollie. I told her I would share with you...she laughed as she headed off to work.
I hope all of you post more, more pics!! I love seeing each and everyone.
Oh...Sheila...your son...what a climate change..poor guy!! brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
-
