Ulla, what you have done wrong is probably worried too much...
Seriously, did you take it on an empty stomach? Some medicines make me nauseated unless I take them with food.
Your family and home are lovely. No wonder you miss them so much. Is that your brother in the last pic? He looks a little bewildered. No wonder...he is outnumbered by beautiful women!!! My grandfather (the Swedish one) was the only boy with six sisters.
Yes, the house is huge...4500 square feet. We are living on the lower level...a daylight basement that doesn't showin the photo...until the upper level is finished.
Jane...I know the current fashion has gone away from bold colors and back to the whole house being one color. Sorry, but that's not me. I'll see if I can find the photos of my daughter's house. It's the way I would love to decorate.
Lisa...another big family! There are so few any more. I was the middle child of five. Siblings are a pain, but there are important life lessons there.
Sheila...enjoy your son. I'm jealous! Give him extra hugs for me.
AE...my favorite shade of blue trim, ducks, and UB. Where's my room?
Lisa...what a lovely place to live. I, too, love that tree.
Karen...I love the setting of your home. And the warm, bright feel inside. Great job of creating good vibes.
Sue...This is way too much fun! Your shop is delightful and now I will be able to "see" you in your stories about work. The elephants remind me of the fundraiser Seattle did to support the Pike Place Market...a venerable institution around here. Pigs, about the size of your elephants, were placed around town, decorated by different artists and groups. Such creativity...they were wonderful.
I'd like to go on, but I think my fingers are falling off. I must take a break...

Please forgive me, if I have posted these before. I think the one of Olivia and I, I did. I was just looking through all of them...brought back memories.
Ulla...see my message above about how you are feeling.
this is my favorite picture of Alise and Matthew, when he was little!
This is my favorite of Olivia and I. 2 mos. before dx.
I love this one of Alise and Olivia. Everyone thinks they look so much alike..but I see allot of differences.
-
James is 29, Heath is 26 and Will is 23. James & Will are on a working holiday - Will starts teaching in London today and James is a photographer/graphic designer. Heath is having a few months at home while he decides whether to get a full-time job in Sydney or travel and work. He's working from home right now - doing photography and design.
-
You sons sound so exciting! Not only handsome but they are interesting and have great jobs. Well, Heath may be a little old for Olivia right now. She will be 17 on May 8th. Alise is 20, and Danni is 24. I think maybe we can work something out Jane..lol.
-
Lisa - I love those photos - you are all so beautiful - inside and out.
-
WOW, what beautiful pix. Olivia, as always a dream girl.
Ulla, your family is spectacularly lovely, as are you.
Sue, I love to see your Subway, know where you are, it looks just like ours. We have trouble with ours, we usually buy Dusty a hunk of chicken extra. One day, the girl told me very seriously, "We aren't allowed to do this, so I will do this one time". Okay, we went back a week later, got another girl, and when my sandwich was made, I told her, "Oh, could you add a hunk of the chickento it?" She said, "Sure, no problem". Walt and I laughed and laughed. Sue, I loved your pix of YOU and of your house, it looks so lovely.
Who owns the mansion? Judie? Whew, very very lovely.
I too loved the animals around Sue's Shop. We were in New York once and they had the corners all set with cows, in every color, polka dots, you name it, so cute.
Love you all to death, Shirlann

-
Lol Lisa - yes - a little young. His last girlfriend was a lot older than he and had two kids. It was sad when they broke up (they are still friends and often work together) but I think he needs to get out in the world a bit and experience life before he settles down. I would prefer them to wait and make the right choices than to marry too young - like their silly young parents!)
-
This one is a few years ago..but she looks the same, just hair is longer. This is my oldest Danni, Who lives in Chicago. Soooo looking forward to seeing her!!
She is in the middle of 2 of her good friends.
-
Well Jane, we could fix up your younger 2 boys and my older two girls! lol. I agree 100%...I have told my girls wait to get married. I was 21 almost 22, and way tooooooooooooo young!!
Ulla, take whatever you need to make yourself feel better and settle your tummy. It will be ok..I promise.
-
(((((Ulla)))) - I am so sorry you are feeling sick. It's so unfair that you have had bad reactions to all of your tx. You deserve a break. I have heard some women say that they felt nauseated at first and after a while, the sick feeling went. I so hope it is like that for you.
-
Lisa,Has anyone ever told you that you, a gorgeous woman, have some outrageously gorgeous daughters?
Ulla, yes, I'm already half Swedish. Does having two Afghani granddaughters qualify me even further? I know, it's not Iraq, but not too distant! One of them even has green eyes and used to have light hair! As she matured, it turned dark, though.
Jane, I'm on my way. I feel half Australian even though I only spend a month in the Alice. Sydney is almost identical to Seattle in climate and ambience.
Here are photos of my daughter's home. All the trim and woodwork were done by her husband. The coffee table is made from wood salvaged from a fence they tore down.
-
I love this....my dear dad with all of his lovely grandaughters!! What a lucky guy! He has 2 more, but they weren't here for Christmas this year. They live in Arizona.
-
Oh Judie....I love your daughters home!! That is so my taste!! I love all the colors! Just charming and welcoming!
Thank you for your compliments. You are so sweet. Getting older and going through this last year, I feel has taken it's toll on me...but hey..I am alive. I feel very blessed with my daughters. They are beautiful people on the inside as well. They are great girls and I am so proud of them.
Jane...I am coming to Australia. That has always been my dream vacation...my goal. So some day...I will be there!
-
Danni is very like you I think. Very beautiful! Our children are so precious and we want the best for them. I too was 21 when I was first married and 3 months pregnant. I remember not really wanting to get married but my parents were very conservative and probably told people I had him prematurely when he was born!
-
Shirlann, the house is owned by my son. He and his wife designed it and it really reflects who they are. I don't know how long I will be living here. They would like it to be permanent, but I'm a person who needs to feel ownership of her space. And living with the other inlaws as well and my son and dil is, shall we say, a bit stressful.
The offer is still open for anyone who would like to see the house in more detail. Just PM me and I'll give you the link.
-
Lisa, when Jill told me what she was doing with the house, I was mortified! Apple green walls? How nauseating is that? Dark blue dining room? Depressing. But she has the vision. When she pulled it all together, I was stunned. She was going for an old English Cottage effect. How did she do, Sue?
-
Some people think Danni looks like me, especially since she is my blond. She resembles my mother quite a bit. I think Alise, even though she is dark Italian looking like my sisters, has my features the most. Olivia is a mix, but looks allot like her dad's family.
Danni definately is built like me...she got the chest!! lol
-
I agree...she pulled it off! Just stunning! I could see myself plopped in that big easy chair and enjoying my surroundings! I love how they made the table too! Very cool.
-
Wow Judie - your daugther's home is stunning! Ok - you will have to come and stay with me in the mountains. First, I have to get there!
I know what you mean about feeling an afinity with other cultures - I have always been interested in them and my kids often date girls from different backgrounds. My new grandniece is half Egyptian, my sons have dated girls from the Philipines, Mauritius, US, Germany...all over!
-
Yes, it's amazing how you think colours won't work and they do! I do think though, that you have to be very talented to bring it all together - like in your daughter's house. The polished wooden floors really set the wall colours off well and the white shelving looks great as does the furniture. Really lovely.
-
well couldnt take that nausea any more,,i took 2 pills of meprazole which was given to me wen i was doing taxotere and had upset stomach,,it feels also like heart burn,,ooohh will there be any end for all of this??????i dont think i will be able to wake up early in the mornning to go to school..
lisa..honey howlong this nausea took u be4 go away??
i love to look at all ur pix,,just lost the ability to make my comments..
love u sisters

Well, Jane, I have no choice but to have an affinity to other cultures...my middle daughter married an Afghan and they have two daughters. Unfortuneately, they divorced, but have worked well together with the girls. My son is married to a Chinese woman and they have a son. So of eight grandchildren, three are half another culture. I should probably add the two whose father is Italian but born in NY.
I think he's a culture all to himself, that guy! (He's the one who built the table and shelves and trim)
Actually, the affinity existed in me before my kids were even old enough to date, so can't blame them, can I!
-
NY born Italian men are a breed of their own! My dad is Italian and born in Brooklyn..haha.
Ulla...I am trying to remember how long. But I don't remember it being bad enough to take medicine...so I forget. I am sorry. I am sorry you are experiencing this. I take it with no problems at all now. I know it will get better. Did you read the information that came with the scrip? Did it say an upset stomach ache was a s/e?
-
Ulla, I hope you feel better soon. It must be very late. I hope you get some quality sleep and can go to school tomorrow. If not, please rest up and be gentle to yourself.
Love to everybody - sweet dreams for all. My day is just beginning and so I had better attack it.
Jane xxx

Thank you Lisa,
You would think after time we would be use to all this but I still get pretty wound up about it unfortunately Ive never made it through one of these without something happening.
Ive just recently felt really well and like Im finally over this mess so I think that is making it a little tougher for me to want to go to this appt as well....
-
Hey Jule, sending positive vibes your way - I KNOW NED is on his way!!! I would LOVE to see you place - especially the rose garden!!
Judie - your daughter's home is beautiful - just my style - is it a bungalow?? They are one of my favorites. Your son's house is HUGE!! Would my dogs love to run around in there!! WOW!!! PM me the link - I would love to see more.
Lisa- I WANT A FRONT PORCH!!! I would sit there for hours watching the world go by.
Karen - I can't believe how bright your house is - another must have for me. The woodsy area your in is beautiful. By the way, I have the same type of table & chairs. My table is rectangler and seats 6 - I painted it black a few years ago, got tired of the green. I just went out and bought a dark stain to use on the tabletop annd seats.
I would post some pics of mine inside but I need to tidy up first. lol. Here is a shot of my fireplace mantel at Christmas.
Being a Gemini really stinks sometimes, I HAVE to change things up or I get bored.
