Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

It's up to AI fanatics.
Hi Teka

Hi AI fanatics,
I'll probably not be watching American Idol 2012 until March. ENJOY
)
-
I wasn't on this site for last year's AI season. I have never been a country fan, but I bought Scotty's CD and really like it. Knowing that he's a baby-faced teen adds to my enojyment. I also love Jackie Evanco's CDs (11 year old from America's Got Talent).
It seems like it would be better to start a new thread for season 12.
-
Season 11 ;o)
-
so ready for season 11 to start... I will not get to join you ladies tomorrow night as I have to sit with an elderly lady and she most likely wont enjoy watching and i don't have internet service at her home. I will be on here Thursday... have fun!!!
-
23 hours and counting.............
-
Tomorrow is the big day!! Are we sticking with this thread or starting a new one?
-
I'm in for the Season 11 thread. See you here tomorrow! My whole family watches together. Karen Hey Seaside, fancy meeting you here!
-
Yay Karen!
Yep, Idol is a guilty pleasure (do you remember SweetAeroBabe's Steven Tyler story?)....
My husband always complains at having to watch in the beginning but, comes around after the season gets going...
Way back when my kids were little, Thursdays were my husband's golf night so the kids and I would get take-out (McDonalds's Happy Meals) and settle in to watch Survivor in the very beginning seasons! Miss those days! -
Hey Seaside, for us one night is always pizza night, depends on which night DD or I do not want to cook. Remind me of Sweet's Steven Tylor story, I still miss her.
-
I dont care either way this or a new thread.
i'm just happy that the waiting is over.
If you are interested i will open a new thread or whoever wants to do it....Let's plan before tomorrow night.
-
Seaside- great memories!
I lurked here last year, but am in for the new season, I've watched it for years now and am looking forward to the new season.
Seaside- my Dh is right there with yours, he complains when it starts but by the end is into it. I reminded him tonight it starts tomorrow and he rolled his eyes and said, really? I have to do this again? I smiled and said -you love it- it's payback for football
-
-
Glad to see you here, Laurie!! We had a great time last year.... Hoping this year it is even better!!
Sheila,
I could go either way... I think maybe starting a new one might make it more eye-catching for people who weren't here last year... Although looking back on all the seasons in one thread down the road could be fun too! Can you tell I am "decision challenged"?....lol
If we do decide to create a new thread, I would love to have you do the honors....
East Coast ladies...... Only 6 hours and 20 minutes to go!!! -
2 hours and 7 minutes
-
My DD,,DGS and DGD and I are all set for the season to begin. A little under 2 hours now and it's pizza night tomorrow, we all sit in the same places season to season.
-
Countdown begins 54 minutes.............
-
It starts in 45 minutes! It will be interesting to see if they change it up at all this year, now that they are in competition with the X-Factor (which I think I liked better in some ways)

I liked X Factor but AI will always be my baby show.
-
Yes! They finally auditioned here where I live (Pittsburgh) so I definitely want to tune in this season. I go off and on with Idol but more off lately. For me it depends more on the talent than the judges. The last season was bad for me so I stopped watching. Just nobody to get behind.
Pleas start a new thread though! The only complaint I have about this board are the threads that are miles long. First of all they are hard to mine for information and also you feel like an interloper coming in so far into it if you are a newbie.
-
Is this season 11 or 12. i'm getting conflicting info .......
I will start a new thread if i'm sure of the season........
-
Sheila,
It's Season 11....
"American Idol Season 11 will premiere this week on January 18, 2012. American Idol begins with the first part of a two-night season premiere that will air from 8 - 10pm on Wednesday with part 2 following on Thursday from 8-9pm. There will be an additional episode on Sunday following the NFC championship game. If you live in Jacksonville, Florida the closest city to audition in this year was Savannah, Georgia and that is the location that will be showcased on 1/18/2012." -
UPDATE...I just opened a new thread for Season 11.
Come and join us there.
This thread is no longer active but it will always be treasured.♥
Sheila
