Hi Ladies,
Checking in for the Hummingbirds:
Weight loss this week - GAINED 0.2 lbs.
New weight 166.2 = 0 points
Exercise 3 hours (treadmill, shoveling snow) = 6 points

Extra credit: Even though my DH was out of town for the week, I cooked for just me all week and did NOT give in to ordering take-out even once! 1 Point
Total = 17 points
Someone earlier mentioned keeping a food diary. I think that is what I'm going to have to do because my exercise has been good (for me anyway) so my lack of weight loss MUST be what/how much I'm eating!!
-

I have had a really busy week - I've really ramped up the exercise. Mum doesn't sleep much at night so I'm up really early most days so I get my Wii Fit done early and then I've gone from 120 to 200 sit ups a day and I go out for a walk anytime I have someone to sit with mum for a while. Down side is Mum really likes to drink tea and she wants biscuits or cake with it all the time and I have to be really disciplined with myself not to have some goodies too.
Meece & El hope you are over the worst of it!!! and enjoy your holiday Meece.
Faith - how far west in Europe will you be travelling??
Seaside - I do a food log and now an exercise log - I would never manage without them.
Sheila - my captain - I hope you are happy with the efforts of your little runners!!
Patoo - Yeah great loss!!!
Go Roadrunners!!!
Check In 3 pts
Water 7 pts
Weight 137.1 Down 1.1 lbs so that's 2 pts
Exercise 7 hrs Wii Fit, 6 hrs walking and sit ups total 1 hr which gives a total of 14 hours exercise which gives me 28 exercise points
Extra pt - mum had a visitor who brought 12 homemade blueberry muffins - I resisted them 1pt
Total points 41 OMG I hope I can keep that up!!
Have a really great E-LAB week everyone.

Checking in -Check-in Friday 3 pts
Weight down 1 # 2 pts
Exercise 3 hrs 6 pts
Water 7 days 7 pts
Extra credit - 1 point . Took my lunch to work so I wouldn't go to the cafeteria and get their quesadillas. And they had a pizza party provided in the department free!!!! So, I ate my "lunch" for supper which I definitely would NOT have done before! Also, made cookies for my family and only ate ONE which I definitely would NOT have done before! And, a friend brought a homemade cheesecake for scrapbooking yesterday. she would have been majorly offended if we didn't eat any, so I only had a small piece and skipped out before she realized that I wasn't taking any home....before ELAB, I would have had a larger piece, or two, AND taken some home!!! Thanks ladies for the help to want those points!!!
Cumulative weight loss - 3.4#
Total 19 pts.
Next week is another week. Maybe we should all try to increase our own points by at least 1-2. What do you think? I'm hoping for 22!
And this does reach out. I'm in a weight loss group here at home that meets every Tuesday morning. Last week, we decided to start our own point system. It's basically like this, but we can get extra credit points for each healthy choice we make, and a prize for more than 15 points. And $10.00 for more than 65 points in the month! It's great incentive. We plan to up the points later and maybe compete as teams later. I want my points!!!!
Eat less, Move more!!!! Onward march!
-
Checking in personally on Friday = 3 points!!
Weight this morning: 139.0 which is down from last week = 2 points
Exercise: total of 9.5 hours (treadmill, walking the beach) = 19 points
Water: 7 points (which is getting easier by the week)
Extra credit point: due to ELAB motivation, I packed tennis shoes & sweats for our road trip to friends & then got up every morning that they slept in & went to their fitness center to walk their treadmill. This was completely out of previous character: whooohoooooo!!!
Total points for the hummingbird team: 32 points
-
Ainm. Seriously you are an inspiration to us all!!
41 points!!!
For one Fri we each weighed in at 138.2 pounds and I made an unknown challenge to race ya!!
You are winning by a landslide.
Wow.
I have the next two full weeks here at 'home' -- with no company coming & no anticipated road trips of any duration. I plan on a new all-time personal low in the coming two weeks.
BTW: You forgot the EXTRA bonus point for hitting a new all time low..... so really you've earned 42 points. WOWOW!
My European adventure continues to gel.
So far I will begin with two stops across southern Germany and then go on for two cities in Italy. Germany appears to be the furthest west. Wanna meet me on the shore in Pisa?? That's our end stop of the adventure.
Just telling you this much makes my heart beat a little faster. The dream of a lifetime times 10. I'm counting on that as an extra point at some time.

I do appreciate the fact that you gals have welcomed me here even though my goal is not to loose weight. The weekly check in does help me by making me pay much more attention to maintaining healthy eating and exercise habits. I've tried to maintain at least 3 servings of fruits and veggies a day. This week I manages 4 servings once but only 2 on a couple of days. The exercise I've been doing has helped me to the point I can take up bowling again. I got in 2 practice games on Tuesday and returned to my Wednesday league for 5 games total.
With the improved nutrition my weight has stayed above 155 another week at 158 today!

Last I heard, the team getting everybody to check in got an extra point!!!!
If so, that brings us to 160.5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, My3, if that's an new all-time low for ELAB, ya get to add yet another point!!
***Last week we decided that when ya hit an all-time, new ELAB low, ya get 3 points for your weight. I haven't been keeping a spread sheet on anybody, just looking at the weight totals in the header.... So it's important to clock in with your week's weight every Friday.
-
chabba,
Good for you on the veggies! I am also trying to eat the recommended 5 servings a day... It is easier said than done! I too have days where I meet my goal and days when... not so much! I figure, in the end, even if I don't make my goal every day, I still come out ahead on average vs not trying at all.
Same goes for exercise... Some weeks I don't see the results on the scale BUT that scale is only one measurement. I still come out ahead healthwise, even if the scale doesn't say so.
How GREAT for you that were able to return to bowling!! I haven't bowled in years but, I do remember it being such fun...
-
YEAH HUMMINGBIRDS!!!!
Way to GO on EVERYONE making Friday check-in!!!!!
-
Checking in for the Roadrunners:
3 pts for checking in
0 pts for weight gain - boo, hiss! I sat around and ate all week, snowbound. Sigh. Plus had on full clothes and tennis shoes for weigh-in, instead of usual gym clothes. 213.5
2 pts for 1 hr walk with dogs on Saturday before snow. PT elbow stretches DON'T count.
5 pts for water
Not sure this counts for anything, but i've single-handedly eaten almost 15 lbs of tangerines this past few weeks. Also cauliflower & asparagus.
Adding it up today, I'll have only been to work for 3 days this month come Monday. Nutsy. Oh, yeah, I have 10 pts for Roadrunners.
-
Valjean - hope your head gets better.
-
Faith...for me, that is an low since I started on elab. I sure would like to get to my low....way back when the kids were little....128lbs! That will not be my reality...but 140 would be great! I think after I am off the estrogen blockers...things maybe a little easier.
-
Good job everyone and YAY Roadrunners!
{{hugs}} to all
-
I am being bad still awake. I have to be at work at 4am..and it's after 10pm!
I was bad tonight and ate some french fries! But...I did go to the grocery store and stocked up on alomonds, asparagus, fruit and carrots. I brought home a bag full of oranges from Arizona..fresh from my sisters tree. Healthy eating this week..no matter what!
Starting tomorrow, planning out a work out for each day after work. Even if it's working out inside with some weights and running up and down stairs. I am scared to run outside with all the snow and ice! With my luck...I would fall and break something...lol! Such a clutz sometimes.
Night sisters!!
xoxo
Lisa
