I think the points count, but maybe we should raise the points for Friday check-in to maybe 3? make it count to check in on Friday. What do you think?
-
Meece, I'm for anything that'd give my team more points and motivate people to check in. :-)
-
Ok, here is the Robins total (a little late, sorry)
Suzette - 10
BC Colorado - 10
Mimi - 14
Valjean - 17
Zogo - 16
Total - 67.
I haven't heard from Cheryl IQ, Melody2 or SAMayofFL for a couple of weeks so if I missed your check in let me know and I'll correct it.
Have a good week birdies, especially ROBINS!!
-
Starting next week, 3 points for checking in on Friday. Done!!!
-
Hi Ladies,
Been really quiet here lately... Hopefully it means we're all out getting in our exercise!
Just had a question, did we ever decide if we were going to post the running team totals in the header or not?
Seeing those numbers may very well encourage people to check-in on Fridays. Especially if the numbers are close.
Just a thought.
-
Oops, I forgot. I will work on that. Thanks for the reminder,
-
No rush Meece!
I know this is a BIG job and you, as well as the rest of our team leaders are doing a GREAT job!
-
Hope this finds everyone safe and warm. Major winter storm bearing down on us. We could have a foot or more of snow by Weds. YIKES!
Hey Sheila, I bought some whole-grain Goldfish. A serving is 55 pieces - that's a whole school of fish! And only 140 calories (45 from fat, so 33% of calories from fat) and 250 mg of sodium.
Not bad for a snack food - thanks for the tip. {{hugs}} to all
-
badger..i never tried that one.
Does it taste good?
-
yes, very good
-
Thanks for the info. on the lymphodemia...I think it was just shingles. The meds the doctor put me on, cleared it up sooooo fast. I really did well, not much pain or anything. I will look into what you all mentioned, however. I just haven't had a chance, with vacation and just getting back to work this morning.
Well...I am late...but here is my weigh in...161. ( - 1 lb, 2 pnts)
Exercise for last week (luckily in AZ and able too ( 3 pnts) 1 1/2 hrs.
Water intake...did great out there..lot's of water drinking! ( 4 pnts)
I hope I did this right!
I'll weigh in again Friday!
Lisa
-
You did fine, my3girls. Look forward to see you report on Friday.
-
Whoooohooooo.
Great to hear from youuuuuuuuuuu!!!
my3girls: I am so glad to hear that it was "only" shingles & that you responded quickly to the prescription: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I'll give you an extra credit point for that good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding.
Sort of!!!
I am a mother hen & I do get concerned when someone goes missing for a while.
We are on our way home from our "Naples" excursion, having had a most decadent visit with dear friends. I must say that we were up every morning and over to their fitness center, me on the treadmill for an hour each day.
This is truly ONLY a result of feeling the commitment to the LAB.
I have never once made use of a fitness facility when on the road. [Can you predict where I am going to give myself an extra credit point for the week???]
This group-think is a good thing.
I won't mention anything about the eating festivities, because I don't want to derail anyone's efforts. Let's just say that I'm guessing an hour a day on the treadmill is in no way sufficient to offset the LOVE that was shared.
There's a couple o' days to get back to the bird-house.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Get moving!!
Get moving!!
Get moving!!!!!!
[I just had an email from Europe!!! Looks like we are moving forward with the excursion of a lifetime!!! Details when the contract(s) are signed for real. In the meantime, I appreciate your continued good thoughts.]
-
Faithie, looking forward to hearing your European news. Will keep it in prayer to turn out beyond your wildest dreams.
-
I thought I'd share these links with recipies for Super Bowl Sunday courtesy of the Mayo Clinic.
-
Faith!!!
I JUST don't know how you do it!!
I will look at my exercise for the week and think, I did good! Then I take a peak at how some of you all are doing each and every week and think.... WOW... How DO they do it?? The exercise numbers are phenominal!!!
And now... even while away... you have found the time (and place away from home) to continue to amaze with your devotion to staying fit! Definitely motivating to me!!
Hope the scale is my friend this week!
-
Steroids! Aargh! Pneumonia! Aargh! Snowed in!!! Aargh! REALLY??? I'm supposed to lose weight??? I am drinking plenty. That's it. Sigh.
-
Book-it-dearie.
Your only job is to get better...... and keep from going cabin-fever-crazy.
We'll give you points for doing nothing, if that will help.
Pneumonia qualifies for extra compensation for real.
I am seriously allowing myself to look forward to Europe.
Here's a collage I took of pictures, yesterday.
Enjoy, the blue skies in southern FL:
-
Tonight I bowled for the first time since surgery. At first I was too sore, especially underarm (right side) then too fatigued from radiation and insomnia.
-
Faithie - BEAUTIFUL Photo's!!!
-
Started my food log Feb 1st now am thinking of joining weight watchers. What do you ladies think ?
-
I think Weight Watchers is good, but even if you don't join an organized program. Paying atention to what you eat can make all the difference in the world.
I will be on an airplane on SuperBowl Sunday so thankfully, I will be away from temptation. (I usually make all sorts of treats.) DH hopes we will have landed and be at the hotel by the time the game starts. Sounds like a wonderful first day in Paradise, huh?
-
Oh i forgot you are off to Hawaii this weekend.Take lots of photos Meece but if you go in swimming becareful of those wicked waves.Last time I was there I almost drowned in one and I am a strong swimmer.Give Matt hugs from all of us.
-
I will definitely be passing on the hugs. Hopefully there will be some down time on the beach. I told him even if he couldn't go swimming, I'd sit him on the beach. I hope to take oodles of pics. May be of waiting rooms and hospitals, but I will take them.
I don't know if it is big wave season still or not. When we were there a few Septembers ago, the waves were not too bad. We can always head to Waikiki if the waves are too big.
-
I thought I'd pass on a snack idea. If anyone has not tried Quaker Rice Cakes (the mini kind) they are pretty good and pretty low-cal. I just bought some blueberry ones for "desk snack food". According to the package 13 is a serving and has 110 calories. They are so flavorful that just 4 or 5 is enough to satisfy me. I have tried the apple flavor and chocolate as well. I do not like the chocolate one myself and think I'd rather eat a few chocolate chips instead.
-
I lost 2.5 lbs. with my new digital scale. I might even reach my 5 lb. target this week, but I won't reccommend the method (pre-colonoscopy clear liquid diet) to anyone. Meece, you should have a nice, low weigh-in on Friday for the same reason.
Have a great visit & fabulous time in Hawaii!!!
-
I am only about 1 lb heavier today (Before prep) than last week's low, but if I scarf out tomorrow post-colonoscopy, I may be a lot heavier!
-
Meece, good luck & Godspeed on your journey! Soak up some sun for us OK? {{hugs}}
p.s. we got 16 inches of snow! The sun's out now & it's beautiful, but windy & very cold.
-
elimar~been there - done that on January 10th. lost 6lbs. This was my second one, 5 yrs ago they found a polyp and found another close the the appendix soooooo, I have to go back again in 5 yrs.:(
-
How do you possibly not eat when you are stuck in the house all day because you are snowed in. We had 20 inches of snow here in the Midwest and that's all I seemed to be doing today
. I did workout for about 45 minutes this morning though but I don't think that will offset what I ate. Oh well.
