don23,
I wondered the same thing about how to count it if you gained say a pound one week and then lost that pound the following week.
I think what Faithie said was it would count as a loss (2 points) BUT those who drop below their lowest E-LAB weight would pick up an EXTRA point for each week where you hit an all time low for your E-LAB weight.
Hope that makes sense!

ELABsters!!!!!
It's FRIDAY!!! I'll report in with my ELAB stats once I settle down.
I just opened my email and I have an email from the mayor of NYC!!!!!!!!
Do you remember me telling you that I sent a copy of my new picture book to him? The picture book is a tribute to September 11th and I sent him my book in honor of the coming 10th anniversary.
Anyhow, he sent me an email!!!!!!!
I'm so excited to even think that it made it's way thru the office.
Here's the full greeting:
Dear Ms. Clement:
I was honored to receive your book, and I apologize for my long-delayed reply. On behalf of the City of New York, thank you for your compassion and concern for those affected by the events of September 11, 2001. The outpouring of support we have received from around the world has been a tremendous source of comfort for us all. Many thanks again for your kindness and best wishes.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Bloomberg
MayorHappy dancing!!! Happy dancing!!!!!
It's not exactly an invitation to perform on Times Square (LOL), but it's very exciting to have a greeting from him in acknowledgement.
I'm smiling ear-to-ear!!!!!
-
Way to go FAITHIE!!!!! How nice to receive acknowledgement from the mayor!!!!

Rockin' Robin Checking in:
Weight: 148.8 = Loss from last week =2 pts (.8 from E-Lab low-darn!) But I truly think keeping a eating journal is helping me BIG time!
Excercise = 10 pts (really need to concentrate on this)
Water = 7 pts
Fri. ck-in = 3 pts
X pts = 0 (I can't see that I've done anything special this week.)
Total = 22 pts
Congrats to everyone! I've said it before but I'll say it again: This 'project' keeps me focused. Thank you E-LABERS!
GO ROBINS !

Faithie ~ You are our own special celebrity!!
Love ya! -
Very nice Faithie.
Great going everyone on your weekly stats.

Checking in for Roadrunners
Check in 3 pts
Water 7 pts
Weight down 2pts (down 2.2 from 134.9 to 137.1)
New Low 1 pt
Exercise 23 pts (7 hrs Wii Fit Step, 3hrs walking, daily sit ups & stretches 1.5 hrs, total 11.5 hours which is 23 pts)
Extra credit 1pt (I introduced some standing knee stretches to my exercise routine, I've made some really good, healthy veg soup and had it for lunch most days and I am continuing to resist the biscuits and cake that my Mum has every day, I always eat a good quantity of veg but I have added more fruit to my daily diet)
Total for week 37 points BUT when I was working out my exercise points this week I realised that I made a mistake in last weeks exercise points. I said 6 hrs walking and allocated 12 pts BUT it should have been 6 half hour walks equalling 6 points so I will subtract the 6 points I had given myself in error from this weeks total which brings this weeks total to 31 points. Sheila, my captain, I hope this is ok and that it corrects the error.
I apologise to everyone for the error.
Faith - You rub cyber shoulders with some very important people. Does this mean that according to the six degrees of separation I know the mayor of NYC??
Have a good week everyone - Roadrunners keeping running down that road!!!

Hi Ladies,

Total = 22.5 points
-
My diet has improved since joining you ladies. I;m eating more regularly even though I still struggle to get adequate fruits and veggies. For the first time in over 10 years my weight hasn't bounced around between 150 and 160 and has stayed above 155 the whole time. Thanks again for letting me be inspired by you.
-
Checking in - 192.6 (down 2 # frrom last week!!!!!!!)
Weight down from prior week = 2 points
New E-LAB low = 1 point
Exercise - 11 points
Friday check-in = 3 point
Daily water = 7 points
Extra credit - ate out and chose a tradional burrito (only ate half)
instead of a chimichanga = 1 point
Total = 25 points
Achieved my 2 point increse from last week! Goal for this next week - maintain at least my 25 points! Seems like the points for me are in the exercise, and I think I'm at my limit time wise! I'm doing one hour of Curves 3 times a week and added yard work and some walking time. I was doing Curves 30 min. 3 times a week, unless I had a good excuse to only go twice! (It was really easy to come up with "good" excuses!).
Thanks for the incentive ladies! I want my points!!!!
-
I MUST say some of you are just "hitting it out of the park" as far as exercise!!!
You ALL are such an inspiration and my hat is off to you!!! Motivated to work harder next week!!
-
Checking in for the Roadrunners = 3 points
water intake = 4 points
exercise 165 minutes = 5 points
weight back to 217 = 0 points
total = 12 points
Help me! I had a Med Onc appointment this morning, and they tried to schedule my next (dreaded) Lupron shot 2 weeks early, which means I would have driven 95 miles just to hear them say the Pharmacist won't let them give me the shot, AGAIN, unless I pay myself ($3K+). For the second time. I caught this one, I already had the correct April appointment made and asked why it was being changed. I had a melt down at the front desk. I cried all the way home. I've been eating everthing I can lay hands on ever since I got home. Even stopped and bought a bag of jelly beans on the way home. I left them in the car when I got home, so I've only eaten about a third of the bag, but that's bad enough. I promised myself months ago that next time there was a screw up in my treatment I was done with ALL treatment. Well, there's been a screw up and I'm too scared to stop treatment and I'm too scared to keep going. Now what do I do?
-
Im falling the last few days and i cant get up.
Wagon left without me.
Weight all time high 0
checkin 3
Water 7
Exercise 17 (walked 8 hours and 30 minutes)
-
NM...sorryfor all this nonsense.
How about if your DR writes the slip you pick it up from your own pharmacy and bring it with you.
If Im not clear as what Im saying please let me know.
insurances have this stupid rules.
What is the reason they are denying you?
And by the way its perfectly normal buying some junk food.
Hugs

((((NativeMaine))))
-
Ainm...just for your honesty i reward you 2 extra points.
Now its 33.
-
Native...after reading your post few more times i got it.
You were 2 weeks early.
Like Bone Density test has to be 2 years to the date otherwise insurance wont cover it.
-
(((MICHELLE)))
♥

If I get it from my pharmacy I have to pay full price for it. Prescription insurance won't cover it as it is not given outside a medical setting (patient's aren't taught to give it to themselves). I'd still have to have an appointment to have someone give it to me, since I cannot give myself a shot in the butt, even if I could give myself a shot at all. This is an office that orders chemotherapy, I expected they could get a simple every 4 month shot scheduled correctly. I just don't feel like I can trust the medical care system at all any more.
-
No changes same O same O, Arimidex is just not allowing me to loose.

-
Captain Faithie of the HUMMINGBIRDS checkin' in!
Checking in: 3 points
Weight drop: 2 points 138.0!!!!!!!
NEW ALL TIME ELAB LOW: 1 point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (by two tenths of a pound: LOL, but still it's lowest so far.... I actually had some lower numbers late this week, but then it went up a tad.)
Exercise: 11 hours = 22 points
Water: 7 points
Extra credit: 1 point for the green smoothie research, and four days worth of green smoothiness
GRAND TOTAL = 36 POINTS!!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
NativeMainer, please continue to be kind to yourself in the midst of all of this nonsense. I deplore that getting treatment is an agony --beyond the s.e. that you should have to go thru frustration to get things sorted out.
((((((((((((((NativeMainer))))))))))))))
