Checking in for the Roadrunners!
Friday check in = 3 pts
weight maintained at 148 = 1 pt I was disappointed at this AM weight since it was down on wed. I'm thinking each time I go to the acupuncturist the weight goes up... What's with that???? I was in the buff so no excuses for having to many clothes on.....

drank all my water plus some green tea = 7 pts
exercised 4.5 hrs = 9 pts
Clipped the pedometer to my slacks and wore even at work... used the farthest ladies bathroom and did some walking outside during break. = 1 pt ex credit. I was surprised how the numbers could rack up... trying to beat my scores each day!
Total for this week = 21 pts
-
Another Robin checking in.

Seyla888,
Not that I want to give one of the "opposing teams"
more points but, badger did check in AND had some pretty impressive numbers if I do recall! I think it was a couple of pages back !! I know things get going and this thread rolls right along when it does. The main reason I remembered is that I think she was the first to check in on Friday when I was still stalling to weigh in!!
-
SM....Thanks for pointing that out to me.
Now give yourself an extra point next week for your honesty.
Good Night.
-
Sigh - Roadrunner checking in late. Dr appt first thing in the morning after 5 hours sleep, then one hour sleep, then work until 10PM. So no time to weigh, and still sick so went to bed and forgot to check in.
0 pts - No weight loss - probably gain, considering what the dr's scale said - yikes!
7 pts for water
No exercise, not even walking - installed art all week, but not really exercise
1 pt for oncology appointment
8 pts total
2nd round of antibiotics, maybe I can kick this crap and get back into the saddle - PT has approved me to exercise but nothing that requires gripping with left hand.
-
Hi bookart, thanks for checking in, we care about you and will gladly take the 8 pts :-)
Thanks Seaside!
Oh Captain, My Captain Sheila, I think patoo should have 18 pts this week?
Have a wonderful day ladies! {{hugs}} to all
-
OOH badger....I don't know what happened to my brain this week.
I totally messed up, didn't see your post. Put wrong # for patoo.
SORRY...MY team and Thank You for still calling me your captain

-
No problem. Seyla, really. This is for fun and encouragement and no one intends to make an ordeal out of it. We do all realize how much work it is to gather the info, summarize and post it each week. There will be little goofs. We'll mention them, have a little giggle, and move on! We love you anyway!
-
agreed!
-

I love you too Sisters.♥
-
sorry Hummingbirds...that I let you down. : ( I did not have a computer in Florida on Friday! I got home late last night. I will just miss this week...and give my report this coming Friday.
I didn't do as well while I was away, as I did when I was home. But actually not that bad. I did walk along the beach for about 40 min on Saturday morning.
Was a sad time in Chicago...helping my oldest daughter pack for her move to California. Long story, but she was heartbroken, and as a mom...as most of you know...seeing your children hurting is the WORST!!!
I am back on my good eating habits today...hopefully with the weather cooperating will be power walking or running this week.
xoxo
Lisa

Almost forgot....Faith...congrats on the email from the mayor!! You rock!!
-
Seyla, no problem. NativeMainer is absolutely right that this is all in fun. A point missed or added here and there won't be an issue. I think that's also why everyone is so honest because in the grand scheme of things it won't matter 8 years from now!
Everyone on every team rocks so bookart and my3girls you also did well this week because you still came in and posted. An extra point for each of you next week (and if anyone objects you can have one of mine!).
Later friends.

Feel free to forward it onto any friends or relatives who are in Early Childhood Education.
WHOOOOHOOOOOOO!
Celebrated with a bowl of sugar-free ice cream.
Crazy celebration around here!
-
Faithie,
Perfect... simply, perfect!!!!!!
I WISH that some of the teachers that my children had early on would have attended one of your workshops!!! Those very first years in school, I think, set the tone for all of the rest of it! So important to start off right!
QUITE an achievement! Sooooo happy for you! Congrats!
-
Fathie - ditto what Seaside said! I love watching your video's...
-
CONGRATS, Faithie!!!!!!!
-
HipHipHooray to Faithie!
-
Faithie - I love everything you have done. As a former elementary school teacher (all my good friends from college are teachers and many are kindergarten teachers) I appreciate and love watching your videos etc. I even thought of going back to get certified in early childhood education. I'll forward your link to them.

You birdies are the best.
For fourteen and a half years now I have been getting invited on the 'word-of-mouth' plan. This is the first time that I have had a 'marketing tool' to easily introduce my work to a wider world. It's really terrific to see the various bits and pieces pulled together and even more exciting to think of folks sharing it with others.
I am so very, very fortunate to get to have another professional chapter -- post dx #2 & feel very blessed to continue singing along!
Those in the BC audience can probably fairly easily spot the 'newer' photos and film, as the latest stuff I'm sporting compression sleeve & gauntlet and in the older bits both arms are bare!
Life marches on. It would be awesome to have you forward the link to anyone you think might be receptive to my style of fun. THANKS!!!
[I just sent a PM to a dearie here expressing her support and I put in there the reminder that anyone from here, who might ever order from my website, please enter the promo code "Survivor" and your order would be reduced by 50%. I have never intended to profit from our friendships, but am delighted to share my work with you..... the plural you.]
Had my TWO hour workout this morning at the line dancing aerobics marathon. Half an hour of tutoring on the hard stuff before class and then 90 minutes striaght. I'm getting better!!!!
I have this entire week before we fly off -- this time up north, for about 10 days of committments. It's the craziest whirlwind I've ever scheduled.... certainly the craziest of the last calendar year.
I may need to appoint a co-captain for the Hummers...... any volunteers?
-
Let me at this time post a disclaimer:
I cannot, will not, won't, refuse to, definitely am not responsible, for anything that has passed over my lips and thorugh my teeth the last three days! There, that should take care of this weeks weigh in. (I'll take it all back if I can be good the rest of the week!) Today is DS birthday and we have been eating ourselves stupid - Saturday, lunch in NYC (wasn't too bad). Sunday was pizza and hot wings. Today donuts and ice-cream cake. Notice the 's' on donut and it was a huge slice of cake. (and I finished off yesterday's wings). Yikes. hope to work it off, or maybe I just won't eat anymore this week. < sigh >
Fellow Roadrunners, looking to you all to bring our numbers up.
-
Patoo, good luck the rest of the week. I know you can do it! I'm sitting in my hotel room in DC trying to stop myself from going down to the hotel store and buying a twix bar. For some strange reason my need for chocolate and caramel is overtaking my body! AHHHHHH! We'll help each other out.
Faithie. I am forwarding your information to my sissy who is a wonderful 1st grade teacher in our little "podunk" town of Williamston, Michigan. She needs to know about you, she would love you and you'd love her!
-
Patoo....... you joined our LAB in the wonderful influx of New Year's enthusiasm.
A little back-story, to our choosing the weigh in day to be Friday.
Those of us here from the beginning, decided that Friday would work to our advantage -- in that we could still have weekends where we would 'live' our life with occasional restraint and occasional celebration and then we're have the majority of the week to get back to the LAB.
So trust us, there's method to our madness.
Now get up and move!!!!
Glad that you had lots to celebrate.
In some ways your lucky..... the birthday & Valentine's Day overlap, so that's only 'one' step backwards in the grand scheme of things.
I think ya get an extra point for your organizational skill at multi-tasking.

-
I am a receptionist and I am sitting most of the day. When my breaks arrive I am walking outside (weather permitting as I live in MA) otherwise I will go into the small gym we have and use the eliptical machine and I watch Dr. Oz. It is hard because a lot of ppl will bring in bake goods and that is my weakness. We have a vendor that stops at D.D.B4 he comes to visit with all my favs, I'm sure glad he doesn't come in that often. I did refuse the last time he was in and was patting myself on the back.
-
Debbie - finally got to watch your video - very nice! That's a great marketing tool, with clear explanations of your theories and methods. And fun, too

Alright, I'm finally feeling a little better with this second round of antibiotics. Still a little tough to breathe. I was hoping to make it to the gym tonight, but still coughing and heavy chest. Dr's ofc didn't call with new x-ray and lab results, so don't know why I'm still sick. Maybe by Wednesday I'll feel like getting to the gym. I do have PT that day, but it's light stretching, so it doesn't count. I'm so tired of being unfit. In the meantime, I'm drinking lots of water. With Valentine's day, I'm eating too much candy, but I eat well otherwise - last night was sauteed chicken and mushrooms, with fresh asparagus and steamed spinich. Yummy.
-
Yep - I'm Eing-LAB alright but this week I'm a vulture!!! Finding it very tough this week - constantly picking, can't seem to satisfy my taste buds (which never fully recovered post tx anyway). I just want something but don't know what it is!!!! I know - I'm being very selfish and self centered, just feeling sorry for myself - would love a nights good quality sleep and I have a sore rib cage too!!! :-((
-
Okay, I am just checking in to let you know I am still kickin'. It's going to take awhile to tget everything up to date.
I will say that 9 days away from home eating every single meal out, including full breakfasts (which I don't usually do), and I put on less than 2 pounds! As of this morning I was only 2.2 lbs heavier than my lowest E-Lab weight! If my plumbing had been on track I probably wouldn't have gained any!
