Whew a lot of you checked in!
I came in at 160.8, another all time E-Lab Low. 2 pts
Water 3 pts
exercise 4 hours 8 pts
Friday Check in : 1 pt
Extra credit: Not crawling in a cave and hiding?????
-
Checking in at 195.4 this morning
Weight down from prior week = 0 points (up .6 lbs)
Exercise - 4.5 hours = 9 points
Friday check-in = 1 point
Daily water = 7 points
Extra credit: Turning down that brownie (thanks for the idea!)(Still no coffee or added salt at the table) = 1 point
Total = 18 points (cumulative loss since joining E-LAB = 2.6 lb)
Let's keep going ladies! I was hoping for another loss like last week, but slow is really best. And I can see that eating the wonderful brick oven quesadillas at work on Wednesday, along with their wonderful cream soup, PLUS lunch with my husband at the Ono Hawaiian Barbeque yesterday -all lost me 2 points for the week!!!! So, next week, or I should say TODAY, starts another week. Maybe if I continue the exercise and water and ELAB all week including the day I work ---- I'll get those 2 points next week!
Eat less, move more.......
-
my proof of loss photo:
-
2Hands4me,
Seems like this week wasn't good for many of us in the weight loss department, including myself......
I am telling myself that my exercise has been good so maybe I'm gaining muscle?? Anyhow, that's my story and I'm sticking with it..lol... Today starts another week (and another week means a new opportunity)
Eat less and move more....
-
Hmmmm...
Now that I think of it, I have a question to ask of our team leaders... Say you started at... ohhh 167 lb (completely hypothetically of course..lol) and then lost 1 pound the 1st week and then another 1 lb the second week BUT gained 1 lb this week, IF you lose a pound next week, would that count as a loss? Or does it only count as a loss if you get below your lowest weight?
Thanks!!
-
I tried on clothes this morning, and Although I haven't lost much, things fit a bit looser. I think it is about getting fit.
-
I am sooooooo happy to see everyone checking in & lots of points racking up for all of the teams. It's to exciting to see the behaviors that are changing!!!
Adding to the Hummingbirds subtotal:
Checking in = 1 point
Weight = 139.4 0 points
Water = 7 points (so happy to be consistent)
Exercise = 10 points (5 hours total)
Extra credit point =1 point Went to Bob Evans knowing that they have a veggie omelet, fruit and dry toast option under 400 calories..... but then saw the picture of a 'breakfast bowl' that looked sooooooo good..... so I asked the waitress for the calorie count of the 'bowl' and she didn't know. I asked her to research and get back to me. It took about 10 minutes+ for her manager to come and tell me that the bowl was almost 1,200 calories. Over THREE times the amount of the omelet I had planned on ordering before seeing the other picture. With the information at my disposal I chose the omelet & fruit. Information is power!
We did pack granola bars, bananas and apples and other quasi-better choices for the days we flew back & forth to Baton Rouge. Little behavioral steps: whoooohoooooo!!!!
Our host offered to order dessert and we resisted!!! Whoooohoooooiesttttttttttttt!
Even though my weight is indeed up, I am thrilled to have flown back & forth cross country -- 4 flights & still be in the 130's. Even if I am at the furthest possible top of the 130's. It's still making personal 'goal' for me. We are all making better choices, hummers!!!! We are making better choices, birdies!!!!! KUDOS!!!!!!
Total points = 19 points
(I'll run a sub-total of the Hummingbirds later tonight.)
-
YEAH Meece!!
Clothes fitting better DEFINITELY shows you are on the right track!!!!
-
Faith,
Welcome BACK!!
It is really remarkable how many calories some of those "bowls" contain!!!! Good for you for investigating and choosing wisely!!
Go Hummingbirds!!
-
Whoooooooohooooooooooo, Meecie!!!!!
Seaside, you bring up a good concept.
I say that you earn 2 points EVERY time you are down from the previous week. So if you go up a tad bit for a week and then go down you are able to 're-earn' those two points all over again for your team.
??????What do you think of the possibility of earning an additional point for a personal, all time ELAB low???? That would give you a possible 3 points in the weight category every week. I think maybe that 'extra' incentive/reward is appropriate.
Just thinking out loud.
-
That sound's reasonable, Faithie.
-
Faith,
I think that sounds like an excellent idea!!
-
OK, Roadrunners, I've done better for the "extra" day!
Friday check in = 1 point
Wgt 217, no change = 1 point
water intake met on 4 days = 4 points
60 minutes of exercise (30 today playing with the new Wii Zumba, not sure this is going to work at all) = 2 points
Extra Credit--at the meeting today they brought in chocolate chip cookies (homemade) and mini whoopie pies at break time. I didn't eat either one! 1 point
Total = 9 points.
I put on a skirt this morning that fit just right, or just a tad snug when I bought it in August. Today it's too loose, had to put on the belt to keep it from falling down! I guess I can live with the scales sitting stubbonly on one number if this keeps up!

HUMMINGBIRD SubTotal:
Faithie: 19 points 139.4 lbs.
Deborye: 17 points 152.0 lbs.
Don23: 16 points 144.5 lbs.+ 1 point new low = 17 pts
My3:
O2b: 12 points 177.4 lbs**** we need a definition of 'maintenance'
Pray: 11 points 124.0 lbs. + 1 point new low = 12 pts
Seaside: 16.5 points 166.0 lbs.
ValGirl: 15 pounds 149.0 lbs
MaiTai:
SUB-TOTAL so far = 108.5 points
(includes 2 points for 2 people w/newest ELAB low)
*****Also need definition for 'maintenance"
I personally think if you're within .2 of last week, you have maintaned,
more than that -- not so much -- just my thoughts, would require everyone to have a scale with decimal point
*****Please check my math, Hummers.
Don23, please think up an extra credit point, we can't leave anything laying on the floor, if you get it clocked in before midnight I'll add it on.
My3Girls & MaiTai -- we NEEEEEED you!!! Even if you just 'check-in' we'll get those points.
-
NATIVE MAINER!!!!!!!
Wow! What a difference a day can make!!!!
More points.
New Zumba.
Skirt fitting better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Priceless!!!!!
I'm tellin' ya, each season that we return to extra exercise (winter & summer) it takes weeks to see the scale budge & then it starts slowly.
YIPPPPPEEEEE!!!! I'm so happy for ya!

OK - checking in for the Roadrunners:
1 pt for checking in
2 pts for exercise (walked the dogs 2x 30 min, coughin' all the way, but poor dogs needed it!)
3 pts for water - I was bad
2 pts for losing weight - down to 209.6, despite going to store hungry and buying some junk like dove bars - BUT, have only eaten one and in general not indulging overly in the snacks.
I was only able to work from home 1/2 day, and go to work 1/2 day this week, but feel a lot better today - of course, I'm on steroids for the torn tendon in my elbow...and I'm considered post-menopausal, but started a light period today???? WTF??? Still coughing.
Everyone have a healthy week.
-
bookart,
I would think that you have also earned an extra credit point for taking those pups for a walk even when you were feeling poorly yourself!!! Hope you feel better soon!
-
I agree.
1 extra point.
9 points for you bookart.
You take care of yourself and try to drink more water especially that you are not feeling good.
♥

Checking in for Roadrunners....
Checking in = 1 pt
No weight loss, up one pound to 149, again! Bummer... I was down to 147 on Wed! ARG.... I knew it wouldn't be good this AM when my ring was tight.
Drank all my water = 7 pts
Exercised 4 hrs = 8 pts
Can't think of anything for a extra credit. I ate cake for my birthday so that probably didn't help with the Thursday calorie count.
Total points 16
-
Checking in for the Roadrunners
Check in - 1 pt
Weight - 1 pt stayed the same
Water - 7 pts
Exercise - 8 pts 4 hours, and too much of it was shoveling snow.
I really don't remember moving to Buffalo. We have had snow and more snow and it's doing it again, but this is supposed to be only a dusting. Usually when it's cold I go to the mall and walk, but even that isn't working this year.
Total points, 17

You ladies are so cute! I love your creativity. My first week back to your club and I can say I maintained, neither gained nor lost! Par for the course!
You ladies have a wonderful weekend, going to my mom's for one night to play some cards with the kids- she lives a few hours away.
I will check in on all of you Monday.
Hugs!
-
Heading North or South, Nicole?
Been playing cards tonight with the boys and FDIL. Now DS has gone to airport to get DIL. Fog is bad and flight may be diverted...I hope not,
Well, it has been. This could be a long night.
-
Going North... I heard the fog has been bad for a few days! I hope it clears up for the flight... and for my driving tomorrow. Leaving hubby behind, we are in the process of building a pool and he needs to be here while guys work. I LOVE cards, we play a game called 65, really fun! Have a good weekend Meece!
-
Hi,
Checking in 4 hummingbirds (sorry did not check in yesterday, but had 15 people over for dinner and spent a lot in the kitchen).
This is my first time checking in. Hope I'm doing it right:
1 point for maintaining weight.
4 points for 120 mins exercise. It matters what kind? pilates and biking are the same?
6 points for water. I had one bad day.
11 points:-(
I started taking my Tamoxi pill at night hoping it will allow me to loose weight. Only been doing it for about a week. Keep your fingers crossed for me
-
Fingers are crossed, Maitai.
Nicole, have a safe trip. I will have to see if I can find out about 65. We play a lot of 3-13 and Golf. FDIL looks forward to our Monday night dinners because she gets to play cards with us afterward.
-
I just Googled "65" and it appears it is the same as my "3-13", other than it looks like you bet/ante in with 65. Cool. It is a lot of fun.
-
WHOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
MaiTai!!! Great to hear from you and congrats on your 11 points!!!
Meece, have we decided what we're going to do with 'points' that get reported 'after' the official Friday check-in date??
We could really use MT's points and after all, this is her first total......... I'm just saying..........
LOL.
That's why you are the referee in all of this fun & competition.
I'd give MaiTai an extra credit point for making her first point-announcment to the crowd!!!
LOL.
MaiTai, it's great to have you aboard.
