thanks for asking!  well, i didn't win.  it hasn't been confirmed, but i know others that won in other cities (A's, Reds, etc.) and they were notified last night.

I'm disappointed, but as I went back and read all of the Dodger essays (there are over 60 of them) there is one girl that wrote an essay that brought me to tears.  So, I'm hoping she won!  She's young (30's), fought stage III breast cancer and then they found cancerous nodes in her neck (stage 4).  so.....if not me, I hope she'll be honored!

As for me....yes my DD is going too but we can share a bed or I will sleep on the floor.  I'm one of those people that can go with the flow so don't worry about where you put me and DD.

If you're looking for recommendations for a hotel I LOVE the MGM Grand.  We stayed there a year + ago and had a blast.  It's completely self contained and has the Lazy River.  You rent a tube and float the river.  We went with 4 families and ended up with a big bar bill at the river for the weekend. 

Just a thought.

I stayed at the MGM last year, it was a blast and the shows were great.  I really am hoping that we stay at a hotel that has more than just the casino.

We should stay in the middle of the strip,  You can walk to several hotels from there.  Staying at the MGM Grand is nice, but it is a far walk from anything.  The Tropicana is fading, the Excalibur is not worth seeing, only New York New York is worth the walk.  If you are mid strip, you have all the hotels right around you,  Caesar's, Bellagio, and Bally's are at one intersection,  and Paris, the Venetian next to each other.  As far as staying at a hotel where there is more than a casino,
the more you have, other than restaurants and shops, the larger the hotel and the moe walking you have, constantly to get to your room, to go anywhere, etc.  So there is good and bad to each.

I'm trying to give a picture to anyone who has not been to Vegas.  Mid strip is also the Fashion Mall.  I stay in Vegas (at least up to this year) about two to four times a year.  Stayed at most of the hotels, I'm fine with any of them but prefer mid-strip for its accessability.

OK ladies I am throwing this out there,  I contacted Nancy from Tracey's list and she is staying with a friend, which means I am looking for a roomie.  I promise I am non-smoker, nice, fun and do not snore ( that I know of or any other unwelcome noises)... Also know my way around Vegas since I go once a year for training (does this look like and ad or what????) I already pm Tracey so hopefully we will find somebody who does not have a room and want to share.   I will talk to you guys later

Ladies... hang in there... do not worry. Tracey has her plate full this week it sounds like... She is looking into prices and such now. After she gets the price per room down.. and the # of ladies we are allowed per room... I bet she will do a reorganize... LOL... We will all get to Vegas and we will all sleep in Vegas....:) ( some of us less than others...hehe).... Hang tight...

On a good night.

I have an active, nocturnal bladder as well.  I also talk and walk in my sleep.  My husband says I snore really loud but I don't believe him.

So, ok, you can have the bottom bunk . . . I remember falling off the top bunk when I was a little kid, and I've had nightmares about it ever since.  JUST KIDDING.  

I'll have to watch my liquids before bedtime if I want to last all night long.  Does that mean I'll have to cut back on the Irish?  Egads! No way!!!  Did you know I'm a Bushmill's Irish Woman???  But, I'm behaved!  Most the time. hehehe

where do i find this VIVA LAS TATAS shirt?  my friends had a charm bracelet made for me after I was diagnosed.  one of the charms says "viva la lisa".  i must have the tshirt to go with it!
