YAY JOURNEY!!! You betteh join us!!! We are all in the same boat with bills up the ying yang but we need to make this trip for US! Not only do we need this trip, but we all deserve it!
I'm SO glad you have decided to join us!!!
Tracey have we decided on a hotel yet? Once we know the hotel we can start reserving rooms!
Susie already got her Viva Las TaTas shirt in the mail! I'm SO jealous!!
-
Journey----I'm SO glad you've decided to join us!! Can't wait to meet you. We're all in this together, and there's nothing we deserve more than a time to celebrate being with our sisters!
I'm NOT getting a tatoo because I can just see me 6 months later with it moved from my shoulder to my hip. hehehe OK, so I've had my foobs slip into my armpits . . . I'm just a LITTLE bit sensitive about skin slippage. YIKES!!! Good thing I've kept my sense of humor. I'd be lost without it!!
Thanks for touching bases with Gretchen, Linda!! She is SOOOO deserving of a little vacation with her sisters! Way to go!!!

-
Can't wait to meet you Journey.
Barbe????????????????? ......Does your drinking arm work? If not, I can get you a long straw. If you want to bring your husband you're more than welcome to. I'm hoping I speak for all of us. If you won't let you do what you want to do then he can't come. I'm bringing my 25 year old daughter. You can room with us if you'd like. I'm not a go out on the strip kinda person. I'd rather gamble, sit by the pool and hang out. I'll be the one by the pool trying to hide my fat.
-
Ooooh, I love the slots! I've been 4 or 5 times and NEVER sat by the pools. Too funny!
Haven't drank since my surgery as I thought I'd lose weight...NOT! Hey what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
-
Barbe, I don't walk very fast or very far at a time either. My toe nails may be half grown out by Vegas, but I doubt it. They just plain hurt. I wonder if I can sit at the pool with socks on so as not to gross out others. Hmmm, sewing project: socks that look like painted toe nails... LOL
-
Nancy you won't gross US out so who the heck cares? Definitely NO NEED for socks! For Heaven Sake Girl!!!
OK so whoever decides to research the Vegas tattoo parlors maybe you can see about getting us a discount? 1. for being survivors 2. for being SO many of us ;-)
I think getting one on sunday before we leave would be perfect...or Sat night? Feel free to chime in here...
-
Thanks Ladies! I can't wait to meet all of you too.
I'll be 49 and am a non-smoker. Like beer, wine, bourbon, but drink a lot less now. I'll be on EST and am prone to go to bed early and wake up before the crack of dawn. ( I'll have to work on that a week or so before we go!) I use lots of pillows, but other than that I think I make a fine bedmate. Don't gamble and will be hiding my cellulite at the pool. Love to see a show and have a nice meal or two. Although I think there is a tatt in my future (other than nipples) I think I'll pass on getting one there. Anybody like rock n roll and dancing?
- Gretchen
-
Journey - We would LOVE to have you!!! I bet the ladies will start arguing over you too! Right now I am planning on going w/ a friend, but she may change her mind. I need to verify her interest soon. Take care and gentle hugs! - Jean
-
I only sit by the pool when I'm out of money:-o
-
Hi Gretchen!
It's so nice to have another Southern gal join the party! And none of us should worry about cellulite, for heaven's sake! Why would anyone in Vegas stare at our cellulite when they can stare at our ta-tas instead?!

-
Well, I for one would fight over Gretchen!! She is definitely a class act! We will be busy fighting over Yvonne and Gretchen, won't we, sisters!! Who knows what will happen by September, eh? Life happens one day at a time . . .
-
Hey Jean and Marilyn, I have already told Gretchen that she can room with me, Laura and Deborah...
NVDiane you are right about the poolside, they will be looking at our ta-tas
I don't suppose any of us runners are packing our running shoes to take a run down the strip are we? I think I will just leave mine at home and concentrate on trying to sleep in....
-
Oh double damn, girls, I wish I could go....me and the mismatched girls. But you will all have such a good time.
Please take MANY PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!!!! And have a margarite for me
.xoxo

Oh Journey, FABULOUS! We would love to have you join us!
-
Hi all!
A few of us "january jewels" (january 2009) chemo girls are interested in joining you in Vegas. Is that ok? We actually wanted to get all the Jewels together but some will not be done with treatment and others need time to save $$ and vacation time.
But, a few of us NEED a trip sooner! So, what are your final dates?
Thanks!

Journey.. how awesome!
Ya know.. I have quite a few trips this year.. I have paid my second yr max out of pocket two yrs in a row and might have to in 10'. And I do not care. Cancer has shown me that I have to do it now. There might not be tomorrow... So.. I am going to Vegas no matter what.

-

I like Rock and Roll and dancing. I am not good at it..... but I have a blast!

Laughing alot tonite-these posts are too funny! Are we all coming "clean" about our bodies? I have way much cellulite and not enough hair. I figure if I work real hard, I can get down to just being matronly plump. My hair is about 1/4 of an inch long. Will it be long enough to tuck behind my ears by the time this trip rolls along? (I know, just wishing). When we sit by the pool, are we going to sit by category? Bald chicks to the right, t/e girls in the middle (the lopsided girls), and all the gals who have gained at least 20 pounds thru this journey to the left. I fit into all 3 categories, help!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey Tracey...lol because my screen name is a bit off on the hotel room list. You listed me as EGDS7A. So for those of you who are in the room with and have no idea who I am...my screen name is eadsla. And some Vegas info on me: I'm 43, love slots and blackjack. I'll have the occasional drink, but in general, not a big drinker. Great for my health, but I tend to forget that I'm not the drinker I was once was...and I tend to get happy really quickly. (Yeah, cheap date, huh?)
Catherine
-
I'm flattered by the attention, and will hang my hat where ever I'm placed. Thanks for being so welcoming ladies!
Estepp - We are all GREAT dancers because we have learned to love life! It's the men who tend to be spazoids on the dance floor.
Give me a drink and I'll be able to dance to most anything - lol!Nvdiane - Another GRITS (girls raised in the south)! This will be my first summer with the new chest so you are right that I get to play up the new girls and that might take some attention away from the thighs. Pass the ice cream!
-
Gretchen - Yes, I think I qualify to be a GRITS. I was born in West Virginia, but I've lived in Nashville since 1977 and have absolutely no plans to ever leave!
Pass the ice cream and the Oreo cookies!

-
Gretchen, I'm in with the rock-n-roll and dancing! I'm the same as you -- give me a drink and I'll dance to anything! I'm also on Eastern time zone and will probably be falling asleep by 10 or so -- but up at 5!
So, if Gretchen is now rooming with Linda, Laura and Deborah, that means Mona and I get Yvonne - ha!

Sheila
-
Hey, Sheila, if Gretchen jumps ship and abandons me, her fellow GRITS, to room with Linda, Laura, and Deborah, then I should get Yvonne as a consolation prize-ha ha!!

Gretchen, you're now on the official fought-over list, along with Yvonne!
This is fun--better step in and calm us down, Tracey!
Now those of us who haven't been fought over will feel neglected....sniff....
-
You ladies are a joy to wake up too! I have a long day and night... and it is fun and peaceful being here first! Thanks!
-
I"m feeling like a rag doll....
Y'all are too fun!Seriously, I love you all so don't care where I sleep...just need a spot when I get there.
Got to go meet hubby for lunch...
-
