I am so hoping the infrastructure bill passed in the Senate also clears the House. Came across a website I hadn't seen before, "MeidasTouch: Because Truth is Golden" and this is their latest ad:

Once we started seeing the beauty of life, ugliness starts disappearing.
If we start looking at life with joy, sadness starts disappearing.
We cannot have heaven and hell together,
We can have only one. It is our choice..Rishika

I think it has been said that the orange one is fuming. Not at all happy with M. McConnell for letting the infrastructure bill pass but he too signed on. The usual dispersions being used. When all else fails cut them down to size by telling YOUR truth about them. I also have read that Cuomo stepping down ( which he needed to do sooner ) is and could be really bad for the orange one. A Democrat will now take over and by election time earn herself the reward of keeping the ofc. if she is good. Otherwise it was being looked at as a seat as yet for Reps.
-
So those governors who are going full bore ahead and making no mask mandates for children is a horror story. I presume banking on the orange one keeping his base. Well, who can say if enough of that base will even be alive at the right voting moment and who is to say that the orange thing will continue to keep that base. He is definitely going through a lot -- and mainly continuing his ability to wreck things when he sticks his two cents in. None of which seems that it will get better -- only much worse as more is revealed.

Not speaking about kids here.

Fabulous memes this morning, Jackie!
I agree, Cuomo needed to resign. Does it sometimes feel like predatory male behaviour is an epidemic?
-
Agree with what DivineMrsM posted. Considering how long male predatory behavior has existed and been tolerated, it is more like a pandemic and more prevalent in other countries such as Pakistan, India, etc.
-
Absolutely agree -- men rule the world and we are just there to make it easier, nicer, more comfy or anything else that helps them perpetrate their maleNESS. My Mom was something of a role model for me. She didn't take much of a back seat to men as she grew up with brothers who taught her to work and play right along beside them. She was always a major help to my Dad with things, but he didn't control her. She settled that early on. Then again, this yr. in particular many strides have been made and hopefully they will continue on. Many models to choose, Stacy Abrams, Kamala Harris, Gretchen Witmer and so many more.

A friend, who may not be a friend much longer, actually said to me she saw something where they are actually making chips small enough to go through syringes. For the vax. Then she texted Desantis for prez. I should send her that meme. I love Doritos
-
How are they going to deliver the salsa?
-
IV drip
-
I prefer my Margaritas delivered that way, Ruth. I'll got the conventional route with the salsa.
I'm pretty pissed I didn't get offered a chip with my vaccines. Were we supposed to sign up the same place we signed up for the space lasers? It's so hard to keep track.
On another note, I just bit someone's head off on one of the threads for calling DIEP flap "the Mommy Makeover surgery ". Really? You think any of us did this for vanity? Urghhh. I'm so tired of dealing with ignorance. Seems that's a bigger Pandemic than Covid19.
-
I like the Facebook meme that said they'd never again use the expression, "I'll avoid ........(fill in the blank) like the plague", since people obviously don't avoid plagues.
-
I'm sitting here enjoying chips, salsa and Margarita's.
-
ooooooo on my way!!!!!

-
What a despicable piece of shit he is! I'm all about him making the sacrifice for his state, anyone agree?
-
Yes, perhaps DeSantis would like to jump into the volcano of Covid, you know, lead by example!
-
It need not discourage us if we are full of doubts. Healthy questions keep faith dynamic. In fact, unless we start with doubts we cannot have a deep-rooted faith. One who believes lightly and unthinkingly has not much of a belief. One who has a faith which is not to be shaken has won it through blood and tears--has worked his or her way from doubt to truth as one who reaches a clearing through a thicket of brambles and thorns. -Helen Keller

All those memes are so true. Not sure what gives ( other than wanting to make sure they can get the orange voters ) with some of these Reps. They must think we are all going to go into complete amnesia when election time comes around. As mentioned on t.v. this a.m. Delta death DeSantis is wanting to pave his way to a 2024 bid as a presidential candidate and seems to not be thinking that in order to do that he has to get through 2022's election process.
It is hard to believe that with all the information that is coming to light about the ( sometimes criminal ) behaviors of the Reps. and their orange leader that they aren't just nearly running themselves into the ground. Not to mention that they are inviting death daily to their constituents. They will have to absolutely have to have a way ( they are definitely trying through the state legislatures ) to steal the elections because there will not be nearly enough voter pools for them.
I am and will be VERY nervous until something more definite from DOJ and others gives us some sort of assurance that a lot of that is or can be nullified. I do know it is being worked on. At the same time the orange loon just keeps tossing the Reps. under the bus because it is still all about him and no one else.
Hopefully, DeSantis keeps making himself a complete dud. People who try to pattern themselves after the orange loon are asking for the same thing the loon got. X'ed out in a big way.
