The master owner of our house, the supervisor of all our garden work, the loud purrer and playmate for our preschoolers who was with us almost as long as me and my DH are together.... passed away yesterday 😞 He was 15 years old and was very ill since this spring. About the same as I am diagnosed... Sadly the vet told me yesterday there was nothing else she could do and so I agreed to put him to sleep. DH dug a grave in our orchard and we planted daffodils on his grave with our kids. I am sorry to write so much about this, I guess I need a vent. It got me very emotional, the kids were crying and I was comforting them and then cried in the night. I am a chemo wreck now

Amica, your post about your kitty and that amazing golden thread of love that tethers you to one another made me cry good tears. Give her a scub between her ears for me. Jo
Lisa, welcome to the our little cat lovefes. Sorry for your diagnosis but glad you found us. Keep us in your loop if you are the sharing type. Healing Hugs and Peace for your day. Jo

JaBoo, I'm sorry about your kitty. It is so hard to say goodbye.
-
JaBoo - there are no words. They are our babies and our comfort when we need them. Always there for us. I know he is chasing my little Willie somewhere in the clouds. I'm so sorry.

Aw, they are beautiful. Thank you for the photo, thank you for the welcome. I wish everyone a Happy Caturday! We have beautiful weather this morning in Missouri. I hope you all have a beautiful day!
-
I am so sorry about the loss of your kitty. They are such friends and I wish they could stay longer in our lives. Many hugs to you and your family today.
-
I love all the new pics, especially those baby kittens!
-
JaBoo sincere condolences for your loss. All of us on here understand the grief for a beloved feline family member.
-
JaBoo, Condolences to you and your family. It is so difficult to lose such a close family member. I'm glad you and your family could grieve together. Daffodils in the spring will bring back his wonderful memory. Be kind to yourselves.

JaBoo, I’m sorry, I posted before reading your post. I’m so sorry for your loss, the pets are so loved and hold a deep place in our hearts 💜
-
JaBoo, my sincerest condolences. Pets ARE family members. They just don’t look like us.
-
JaBoo so sorry about your loss. They are definitely not pets, they are family. I lost my Lucy right after my diagnosis as well and it was terribly difficult. Hugs to you.

Good morning all
Very sorry you had to join us Missouri but glad you found this group.
Jaboo, most of us unfortunately understand how your heart aches and how empty a home feels when we lose a pet. Thinking of you
Snickermom, yes, maybe someone can help you. Would love to see a pic of princess.
Just to chime in on cats sensing things. I had my mammo and biopsy on a friday. Pretty much knew all weekend bad news was coming and expected to hear confirmation Monday. My cat lily is rarely a lap cat and when she is she faces away from me. That Monday I was laying on the couch. Up she comes not on my lap but all the way up to my chest. Facing me and staring into my eyes. A few minutes later the phone rings " I'm so sorry to tell you you have breast cancer" I hung up and cried. She stayed for awhile. I just think she knew. She never faces me and looks at me like that
I love all the pics here. I often go back several times because they are ALL so cute. Puzzlewoman lily has a few faint orange spots but not her face. Thanks to all of you who foster and rescue

Loving all the cat photos. Brings a smile. Miss my two terribly, but Hubs is adamant about not wanting a new furbaby.

oh ladies, thank you all feline lovers for your understanding, I know you here understand both our loss and my being emotional about it in the midst of chemo... thank you so much.
I love the kitty pictures here!
I don't know whether I will be able to bring a new kitty in our house... perhaps a kitty has to find us by some chance

A friend sent me this:
-
Here's Snickers! Also known as She Who Thinks She Is Queen!
-
In the shelter we say they have tortitude. It seems to go with the coloring.
-
You mean she isn’t the Queen!? 🙀😹😹😹
-
Well, yes, she is the Queen but she doesn't like to flaunt it around.
-
well, she obviously decides who is allowed to leave her presence 🙂 so, she is the queen
-
Snickers catching the sun there!
-
Wren love the cartoon, sending it to the person who sent me the other trick or treat one!
-
Wren and Feelingfeline love the cartoons, made me laugh out loud! Snickersmom that is a beautiful girl and I think she knows it! CeliaC I hope hubs opens his heart to a new four footed friend.
-
Love all the cat pictures!
JaBoo – Sorry to hear about your fur baby. They are part of our family and 15 years is a long time. It is only right to grieve when they leave us.
Rah – your kitty looks like she's posing for Animal Crackers LOL
Feeling Feline – Arthur looks content and Elliot is giving that come-hither look. Also love the cartoon. Those are great scary costumes for a cat!
Lovepugs – thank you for rescuing those kittens. I am sure they appreciate it!
Lisa – Sorry about your DX. This thread will be a good distraction while you hear about test results
DebAl – Cats keen sense when there is something wrong. They know when crawl up and purr to give comfort and calm you down.
-
Celia - how have you been? I’ve just been allowed to wear regular shoes again after 6 weeks of healing from a stress fracture. Love to see you again!
Here is Oakley using my boob as a pillow. This was the cancer side. No bra, so just hanging out!
-
-
Oakley you are taking such good care of your momma
-
Such a sweet cuddly heating pad wrapped in love.
