I'm loving all the great kitty pics and cartoons !
-
Hazel-Nut - please rub that tummy and give Hazel kitty kisses, so beautiful!! Makes me smile, thank you!
-
I so love these pictures. Please keep them coming.
-
Hazel is gorgeous! Is she a Ragdoll?
-
No, just a domestic long hair. She insists on laying on her back like that and makes such a cute, tempting target for belly rubs but if you even try it she'll claw the heck out of your hand. I told my husband that as soon as I'm done with treatment I'm buying a Maine Coon Kitty.
-
DebAL those are gorgeous photos! And Hazel-nut love Hazel's mustache! Feeling Feline that is too funny and so true! My critters would just roll their eyes if they scrolled thru my phone pics

that is so sweet, Feeling Feline. Makes me smile, thank you! Have a beautiful Sunday!

Our Snickers is mostly Maine Coon and we didn't know until after we rescued her that they are typically not cuddly cats that want to curl up on your lap. Our former cat was a runt and weighed about 5 pounds even at 18 years old. She slept under the covers curled up next to my stomach every night of her life. My heart broke when she died and it was 4 years before I could even think about getting another cat. At the shelter, Snickers Really conned DH. He picked her up and carried her around and she acted like she absolutely loved it. NOT. It was all for show. That was the first and last time he was able to pick her up! She is cuddly on HER terms. She does sleep next to me most of the time. I guess I should feel honored!
-
I think shelter cats know they need to sell themselves. I've been amazed to watch some of them. My failed foster, Mocca, never touched the furniture until after we adopted her. Then she proceeded to shred.
-
Once she felt confident you were not going to throw her out she felt really at home and began to redecorate.
-
-
Feeling Feline lol about the redecorating! My Lucy put her mark on everything in the house. I even resorted to wrapping favorite table legs in bubble wrap to dissuade her. Snickersmom too funny that you were a victim of the "bait and switch". But glad to hear that Snickers occasionally cuddles up.
-
Lester and I snuck a nap yesterday afternoon. I think he has some Maine coon cat in him, but he is a cuddler. He is one sweet talkative boy
-
Oh Lester, you are a heart stealer! Such a sweet face, and look at that soft fur, sweet baby!! Chin scratches!
-
-
SpookiesMom - too cute, and sooooooooooooooo true!!! We passed by a lady taking her dogs out for a walk, outside her house, and they were just SO HAPPY!!!
-
Lester is absolutely adorable! He looks very cuddly.
As for Snickers not being a lap cat - the day before my BMX, a friend from quilting brought me a comfort quilt she had made for me. I always used it for taking my afternoon naps and Snickers would immediately jump on the bed and lay down on the quilt as soon as she saw me lay down. I keep it folded on the back of my recliner and one night not long after my surgery, my legs were cold and I put the quilt across my legs and feet. I had no sooner done that when up came Snickers onto the arm of the chair. She very nonchalantly stepped down onto my legs, curled up and went to sleep!! Now she likes to lay in between my legs, on the quilt, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. she also likes sports, especially basketball. She's a hoot.
-
My parents just adopted two kittens, they are so cute! They named them Lily and Moose
-
Cuteness overload!
-
Tonight and every night
Merlin may not be a big cuddlier but he sure loves to lay on my legs all nigh
-
hi everyone, I know I shouldnt say this but lester and hazel-nut would make beautiful kittens lol! Both so fluffy and adorable! Puzzlewoman are the kittens siblings? Too cute. Merlin reminds me of my cats. They like to lay on or against my legs. We put pillows under our comforter when we are gone so they have a "fake body" to lay against. Happy national cat day!!
-
these two are adorable!!
-
DebAL - yes they are siblings.
Love seeing all the new kitty pictures!
-
Puzzelwoman those two kittens are just too stinkin' cute! And TaRenee that Merlin steals my heart! And for the record I count laying on the legs as definite cuddle territory. Although it sure does make rolling over in the middle of the night an adventure.
-
-
I thought my cats were the only ones that insisted on laying on my legs
-
Feline, Love the coasters. I might try to make some.
-
Feeling Feline that is just wrong ! LOL!! Such a common view in my house
