I took a day off from painting, but managed to make a potato salad & a rhubarb - strawberry pie for dinner!

Done packing for the trip?
-
Oh that's my t-shirt for sure.
Teka that pi is my DD2 favorite, I remember when she was a kid she didn't want a cake, she wanted that pie. So no one else wanted it--so I had a cake too.

Hubby & I cook something special for ourselves then cook something different for picky eaters son & daughter!

Good Morning Hermmies.
Wow Teka that's nice for u to do that. I'm back to opening up soup cans like so many years ago, but the soup is much better now. Oh and eggs. Not green. Well mine can be sometimes.
I hope everyone has a great day today and the weather is good for u--right now it's a little iffy with some watches and warnings. but hopefully it will be over soon. And all ill be clear.

Hi folks- hoping to leave this morning, but things are up in the air. My friend has not been feeling well since late last week, and thought she had a dental infection. This has happened to me before trips before and she got some antibiotics and thought we were good to go. But late yesterday, bit down on something and found a molar in the back is loose! So she is talking to the dentist this morning to find out what can be done today to perhaps stabilize the tooth until she can get it removed. She thought about having it pulled and going and I said "not a good idea!"
I am packed and working on house things to be ready to go today, if we can. But if for any reason, we cannot, I am going to go in to work tomorrow and finish working out the week to make money. We will both be out $300 for the jazz passes, but fortunately no hotel reservation, plane tix, or the like involved. It would be disappointing to miss this long awaited vacation, but I thought it through over the weekend because things seemed so iffy, and decided it would not be the end of the world if it does not happen. Everything is relative in the scheme of things, eh?
I should know in the next hour what the plan is for today and still hopeful the dentist will have a solution for her so we can go. But I told her "health first" and we cannot go if anything bigger is going on. So if you see me back here in the next few days, you will know and if you don't, you will know we went!
Fingers crossed here.We could use a little luck and a good dentist!

Oh Sally I share everything, I have no problem---it went fine, I sang my song and when my feet were in the stirrups I told the Doc my legs haven't been in that position for anyone in a long time, and it's true and we talked and laughed and it was easy, she took a biopsy but did say nothing looked funky so I still have all the UTI's with no reason LOL. and the Blood is just part of the infection, I knew I didn't really need one but Doc don't listen to me ever.
Oh I bet Jazzy is having a great time. I'm glad too. OK I'll probably sleep most of the day, we'll see.
