Mags, hope your trip is full of fun ... taking 2 days for the 8 hour drive sounds much more relaxing.
Ducky, I remember the baby oil plus iodine potion although I only used baby oil. Actually, I only used baby oil occasionally because I did not like the feel of it.

-
Sally..................I think the Iodine stained your skin, which looked like a tan, but damn we did look good.............I will have to find some old pictures to post...........LOL......but not till I get back home..............down the shore now..............
-
ducky i love the loook of your place......
I feel pretty good, on two lots antibiotics, but feel loads better than i did in dec, just sore and tired......was home by six in evening so that was good result
-
Lily ......I try to keep it nice, it was much fancier when my husband was alive, but that was 22 years ago......he loved this house, but only got to enjoy it for 6 years......we had it custom built 28 years ago, and the pool is 27 years old.........now 2 daughters and their husbands keep it in shape.....I have 2 who care, and 4 who could care less..................2 of the 4 have shore homes too, ........its a long story, but its tough to get 6 to help, but in the end they will get 1/6th of the sale, right.......oh well shit happens.......
-
Teka, that pic made me say, "whoop whoop!" We're going to leave as soon as DH wakes up from his power nap.
-
Hi hermits- the proposal work got finalized between my business and the prime on the bid and now we wait. If we get the award, it will be a nice chunk of work and think I will enjoy working with these folks too.
Went out with some on my project team tonight and had some drinks an appetizers. This place we went to has the best nachoes anywhere! I have not been there in many years and they were delish!
Hope everyone who is healing is doing okay tonight. Hope everyone else is enjoying the move into summer.
Sleep well hermits!

Teka, your sun in a hammock reminded me of what fun hammocks are. Besides enjoying ours as a teenager, it gave our English setter exercise. She would jump in only to be swung out. She mustvhave enjoyed it because she did it over and over.

Mea Culpa, I've really missed a lot --I am sorry--been so goofy busy and not feeling the way I want to--Well like Superwoman, but I'd be glad to feel like Aunti Acid---
Jazzy WTF the person u were going tti talk to about references was escorted out of the place? OMG--but u will have great references from anyone so don't concern u;r self-u are such an asset to anyone. So don't wory;
And all the pics aeither funny or pretty, I never realized catus had any flower to it, but then until about a year ago I didn't know dandelions were considered a weed.
Ducky that pool looks gigantic and so peaceful--How lucky u r to have a family to enjoy it with, u've been blessed in so many ways.
Lily u sound pretty good , I'm glad things went well and I truly hope they stay well for u.
Basia how are u feeling?
Mags--well she might not read this, but just in case----never, ever go by statisctics, when my Dr. told me, I said until u can pove something 100% don't even bother and my Stats were not good at all, mine were so low and if I would have taken her seriously it might have proved to be right. So just forget it. And they just built the biggest roller coaster in the world, now that's what I would compare this to, but at the end of yers of chemo and rads u do get off, hey maybe that's why some of us are dizzy.??? Enjoy u'r time away
Is someone getting a port put in or was that Mags--OK easy peasy, I went back to work the next day-of course being the Drama Queen that I am I would say oops, can't pickthat up a lot, til finally someone said it's a PEN, I think u can handle that. OK I got caught. overdid it.
OK I'm getting that teeny weeny camera put up my bldder soon, not afraid, cuz I don't have to be put out, just curious that's a small opening--it amazes me what can be done now. Now see if I had a TV reality show then I'd feel like yelling lights, camera action but well let's face it u know I will anyway. Oh I heard from one of my Drs. tody and they want to run more tests on me--Not the urologist another one. I think they are all crazy
Teka u are so right Ignorance is bliss, well not legally but all this stuff.
OK back to work
I'm waving litteraly) to all I missed
-
Cami- did I ask you about the camera and why you are having this done? If you are on AI's, my gyn said that it can dry out the tissues around the urethra and cause bladder issues. She gave me a tube of estrace creme which is a topical estrogen to help the area. It seems to help. I hope it is nothing more than that. Good to hear from you today!
And I have my references lined up. That VP was a good dude to work with and they treated him poorly at the end. I leave this contract in a few more weeks and won't work there again. They are not a good client to have and not nice people either.
-
Oh Jazzy I wish u so much luck with u'r work.
Oh yes they know about all this pee thing and my problesm, they're just trying to rule out kidney problems and cancer--so they can go from there.
Geeze my primary just called she wants blood work done and wants to see me next week- Damn Drs.
-
camillegal, *Hugs*
-
Jazzy,
So much meanness in the workplace!
-
*Hermits*
-
Cami- good luck with the camera and please DON'T post the pictures here. Seriously though, I had a doctor do laproscopic surgery one time to rule out some pelvic cancer concerns and he started flashing all these photos in the recovery room at me while I was coming out of anesthesia. Sorry doc, I never wanted to see my guts and still don't! Eww! Let us know what you find out?
Teka- the culture I am working is so terribly abusive now. I have worked for them several times before and they always have had a certain dysfunction, but they are outright nasty now. You have heard me say several times I was ready to walk out of the place and am amazed I made it through the whole contract. Now I am ready move on and work for better people. Talked to my biz atty today about this proposal and he is excited to hear about the new work and said the company I am looking to sub through are excellent folk. Encouraging!
-
Yes, time to move on!
-
Yes Cami I am blessed...........hope your feeling ok........
It is warm here in Cape May, and a gorgeous weekend is ahead.........however I have to go back for a Christening for my 4th great grandaughter.........on Sunday.....
About the pool yes it is big........right now the temperature of the water is climbing, but still not where I like it.......I want to walk right in......not go......OMG, OMG, and watch the kids laugh..............last year with the heat it got up to 92.............now that was nice.......most would say .......too warm.........not me......love it............have a great weekend.......take care.
-
May I just pop in long enough to say, Cami, you crack me up.
And, port goes in Monday.
See? I just can't stay away.
-
-
Jazzy, I agree ... YAY COFFEE. The hardest part of my upcoming colonoscopy prep will be two days without coffee. The two day prep is new to me, but I have checked it out with the doctor's nurse and the prep people. I am scared of getting too weak but have been assured I will be fine. I have had polyps on both of my 2 previous colonoscopies ... B9 polyps ... although ten years ago, the first colonoscopy had some polyps that although they were benign were the kind that sometimes turn malignant. Can you tell I am scared? All tests/procedures seem scarier since my bc dx.
I hope everyone has a good week end.
-
Sally............thinking about you girlfriend........get that test every 3 yrs...........my mother had colon cancer...yea me................
-
Sally,
I had a 1 day prep in 2013 which might be harsher than a 2 day prep. I felt weak before & after the procedure.
Hubby & I got the vegetable garden planted. Still might have a light frost in the North Country. Hate covering plants!
-
Mags,Having a good time?
-
Thanks Ducky. The prep starts Monday; I'm just worrying early. Enjoy that pool; it's beautiful and, I bet, relaxing.
Teka, that someecard has me giggling, and giggling feels so good.
-
-
Sally believe it or not I have not gone in.........still a little chilly.......well for me anyway........first time the pool was filled after it was built....my goofy husband said "I have to be the first one in"...........well he jumped in that friggin pool......it was April........the water temp was 55...............he is lucky he didn't have a damn heart attack..........he dove in the deep end, swam to the shallow end........jumped out grabbed a towel, and ran upstairs to the master bath, and jumped in the hot shower..........he was nuts.........but never pulled that stunt again.............he loved his shore home and his pool......so sad he did not get to enjoy it........cancer got him only 5 years later.........but here is the goof......loved that man
