    Jazzy great news!

As for my neighbour, he crossed the line, he is a pensioner, lives alone with his dog and i just found out that when we were away at Easter he was deliberately tormenting my dogs and my dog sitter. Now anyone who causes stress or harm to any animal pushes my buttons, and so I am taking legal action against him, for assault amongst other things.  Dog sitter has now written a statement and in a few weeks he will discover he is the subject of a criminal action. I have employed a specialist solicitor who is passionate about animal welfare and charges very low fees, and she will do statement to police for me. No one messes with my animals without consequences.

Oh I know I repeat but today I'm going to make my app't for my urologist to take a camera and look up my peehole, it all just amazes me all that can be done, how small can that camera be.
I feel like I'm always in a James Bond movie without the hunkiness of  a James Bond figure.

Oh Teka sounds like George Clooney is really getting married in France maybe or Italy, why don't these big celebrities get married in the US and give work to people here.

    Jazzy what's going on????

Lilly- by pensioner, I believe that means he is retired? He sounds absolutely horrible. It is incredible how mean people can be. People who hurt children, the elderly, and the animals are the worst. Take care of yourself through all this please!

Cami- waking up feeling rested and heading to work today. A little light rain this morning of the sprinkle variety. We are supposed to get rain through tomorrow. Lots of spring rain which is unusual for here, but we will take it. We are all hoping for a cooler and wetter summer. The last few years have been super hot and filled with bad wild fires.

Teka- nice blooms! Your gardens must be beautiful!

TGIF my hermit peeps. Into June we go.......

blondie, hope you are able to get to all those baseball games.  Don't forget to take sunblock and a big shady hat.

Jazzy, glad to hear that your work environment looks to be shaping up to be calmer with the new opportunity.

Lily, you are doing your neighborhood a favor by taking action against the nasty neighbor.  Keep us posted.  Hopefully, the situation will be handled quickly and well.

Cami, will you be able to get an appointment quickly or will you have to wait a long time ... hopefully quickly.  You deserve a quick appointment!

Teka, your yard must be beautiful ... what a variety.

Oh chit I forgot to make an app't today, see how I am---I am a nitemare for a patient. I'll call Monday and it really doesn't make any difference to me when I make it--I do this all the time--that's why when I started all this crap my primary made all my app't he has known me for years. Now since I moved this new one is not happy with me cuz I wait to long for her. but I do forget. And I don't follow the path of being concerned. Oh well.

Teka what gets me is these young uns LOVE someone and in no time these young stars are really gone to hell and they don't understand they have a responsibility for young people at all. Then another one takes over anyway.

Hi hermits- I had a good day today! Talked to the consulting firm I may sub through on this new work. The opportunity is so cool and I am so excited. I have some work to do this weekend to prepare some more things for them and fingers crossed here. Thanks for the good wishes and will keep you posted!

Blondie- I hope you can get to the games. Living with cancer and you amaze me with your strength and perseverance. Have fun and then rest!

Cami- so I wanted to ask you if you have problems with the urethra? My gyn told me lack of estrogen with the drugs many of us take can result in problems with that area. She has me using a drop of estrace creme locally to keep the area healthier. Just thought I would mention it if you are having those types of problems.

I ended my day with a nice massage tonight. My body was really stiff and achy and it is much better tonight.

Hope you all have sweet dreams!

    Oh how cute u two.

Jazzy this really sounds good for u. Fingers crossed. BTW I'm not sure what the Uretha is except Ureatha Franklin. U know I don't know these things. I just always have UTS's with blood and some kind of proteins not supposed to be there??? So they have to rule out cancer before they keep treating it that's all.

Hope everyone's day if a Funday.

Lily- good to hear. We will be with you here as you head into surgery Wed and come out the other side into recovery. You have friends here.

Teka- this is for you, my latest cactus bloom. I picked this from a wild area a number of years ago when I first planted the gardens, and it has now grown to be a patch of prickly pear 6 feet long.

Not good news on the roof folks. The latest hail damage is going to result in another roof replacement, unless the insurance company wants to do second opinion since it was just replaced last year due to the same reasons. I may need to do a tile upgrade for the next go around n the roof, as the shingles are just note going to make it with the severe storms and more hail we get these days. It is going to be more to deal with at the house and also expensive to do the tile. Sigh......

On a brighter note, I got a nice loaner from the dealer today to drive thru tomorrow while my convertible is getting fixed. A Jaguar XF. I be stylin'!

Our home has shingles, but many homes have metal roofs in the North Country.

Insurance Company doesn't choose the type of roof?

    But driving in style!

Teka- the insurance company paid last year to replace what I had (shingle roof) so when I do this again, they will pay for that type of replacement and I will pay the difference to upgrade. Tile is better for the SW as with the heat, metal is only a good option up in the mountains. When I built the house, the realtor was trying to get me to do the $5K upgrade with the tile but several people I know talked me out of it. Live and learn. I will get through this.

Yikes, the VP on the project where I worked got walked out the door Friday. Everyone unsettled. I am finishing the contract end of the month and had hoped to talk to him about  being a reference on the new work I am hoping to get. Got a substitute, as now is not the time to ask for that. Another peice of unwelcomed news today.

On a brighter note, I get to keep the loaner jag through tomorrow as they fix the repair on my convertible!

What is else going on for everyone on this Monday of many things?

I start chemo July 1. DH asked how I feel. Trapped, like I'm on a rollercoaster and can't get off. Not a rollercoaster person at all.

Chances of "cure" with chemo, rads, & hormone therapy: 59%

    I know, I'm not a statistic.

There were cells in the muscle tissue, so they had to take some to get clear margins.

Magdalene - s - - t................I too lost some muscle in my modified radical mastectomy..........its horrible to feel so trapped....but you are right you are not a statistic, and their frames of reference don´t take into account all the things I am doing for myself, exercise, de stressing, vitamins, supplements etc etc......and the same applies for you, their numbers are just standardised references, you can and will beat this, I was Stage IIIA Grade 2  too.   The stats given to me were a lot worse than yours but I don´t believe them.....please just forget them and focus on health.........I am two years on now and never thought I would feel as well as I do now when I was diagnosed.......I am not always so hot emotionally but physically loads better than i anticipated.

    H U G s to you......

Mag- this is a real roller coaster, no two ways about it. The way I got through things was to take one day at a time. It is good to know your treatment plan so you know the course of care and timelines that go with it, but then park that and focus on what you have to do each day. Get to the infusion center, go for a daily rad treatment, take a hormone pill, going in to see the doctor.

Along the way, if you are up to it, try to go do something you enjoy that it not too taxing. Have someone take you for a ride to look at summer gardens, to get a cup of coffee or an ice creme cone, have someone paint your toenails. It may sound surprising but these little things will give you a small feeling of normalcy during the treatment period which will make everything seem so out of control. Having those little breaks from all the emotions that go with this is really important.

Hugs today Mag. We are here with you.

Jazzy, it sounds like the recent work situation was a surprise.  I hope the VP replacement brings some fun and calm.

I have finally had all my slides, well the keepers, transferred to disk.  Now I can finish putting them into files on my computer.  Then I can make flash drives for each of my sons and myself in case the computer crashes.  The next project will be organizing/dealing with the many hard copy photos.  I am enjoying the computer organization piece of this project.

Mags, (((hugs))).  I did not have chemo, but your roller coaster analogy fits my state of mind at the moment even though I am farther out from dx than you.  Jazzy mentions taking little breaks from emotions.  At the moment short early morning walks are helping me.  I hope you can find little break activities that work for you.

    You girls rock.

I have a really super oncologist. He takes copious notes of everything he says and at the end makes copies for us to take home. Here's one thing he said:

Don't ever forget that the enemy is the cancer. The chemo may be bothersome, painful, nuisance, but it is one your side, fighting the cancer. The cancer is the enemy, chemo is your friend.

So, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
