...ducky, how come they put liquid nitrogen on your face? i want some, all over, but diluted.
lily55,dancey zumba sounds great! i love to dance at home, i probably look like a crazy person, but i have fun, and it gets my heart rate going. i have been threatening joinig a belly dancing class, for about 6 months, but i finally did do a yoga class two weeks ago, first one ever! i did a tamoxifen break for two months, and am now on femara, 3 weeks, so far so good. arimidex is what i first tried, and it left me in extreme pain, and osteoporotic. tamox and Arimidex both took away my gumption to get moving, creative juices, everything! loved loved ,oved my two month vacation from them all: my energy level was through the roof, like my old pre-bc self....wow.
Happy upcoming birthday,Jazzygirl! you will be 54? i am 54 now, and will be 55 in september. my man will be 56 in august. we were just talking with each other about it, like, "when and how did THAT happen?!?", cause i was 39 when i met him, or rather, when i followed him home.... we were friends and met for the first time in early thirties, when we worked together. i went on a hiatus for a couple of years, and when i came back, he was my boss! i still tease him about it, say, "your not the boss of me!!! we do have fun, i love him to bits!
hello, and love to all hermits! :+

Hi Kathyec- good to hear from you and glad you got the meds worked out. I had a rough time with Arimidex the first six months, took a month vacation last fall and doing better on it now. Glad the Femora is working for you and you are feeling better. My MO says the docs have to work with their patients to find the right balance with the meds so you can have quality of life, otherwise, you won't make it through the 5 years of taking them.
Yes, I will be 54 next week. I know, how did we get this old? LOL! This weekend's trip to the hot springs is part of the b-day celebrations and also going to DFW in a few weeks to visit friends and having a joint b-day party thrown for me by my grad school BFF's daughter. Friend and I have birthdays about 11 days apart this month.
Off to work ladies and wishing everyone a good day.

Kath.......there were some patchy spots, like flaking, and light brown, so she used it to get rid of them......who the hell knows, not the first time I had it done........that's what happens when you go out in the sun at 18, back in the 50's and use Baby Oil and Iodine and your "sunscreen".............who knew.......can just tell you I sure looked damn good back then.............LOL.......you don't want to see me now........
Yes I did request a whole face liquid nitrogen treatment...........LOL
-
Kath I really enjoyed u;r Love story--it's so sweet.
Oh the 2nd yr I was in chemo all of my skin peeled off everywhere including my feet---I had all new skin and it was so soft everyone at the Drs. office had to feel it (good SE) I was so happy it didn't hurt at all u would see shredded skin all over like a snake. LOL But that happened once only UGH now my skin is crappy and worse then before dry as dust.

There will be pictures to follow.....no thanks to me, but to my terrific ladies.......it is so amazing how you can not know someone other then a conversation online, and meet them just one time, and feel like you have known them all your life.........as Sandy said, we talked, laughed (oh did we laugh) and did not want to see it end.....................one of the best days I have had in a long time........the sad part was saying "Goodbye"..........I felt a closeness to them like I have never felt for any other friend.......I can't explain it, all I can say is.........the love was there.............

Hermits, My three week vacation from Arimidex (anastrozole) is over. Still hurting and in pain but many of the SE had subsided--at least while I was off the meds. Main trouble is with the knee pain and bone pain; so, I decided to go ahead and have the cortisone shots next week. The MO did say that almost all the ALs will have these serious side effects so I chose to stay on the one I know. He ordered me a bone density test and said he'll see me in three months. Before I go back to see him, I will see my PCP, my BS, my PS and the orthopedic doctor. Hope someone can work some majic. It is Springtime and I need to get out and have some fun.
It's a gorgeous day here in Southern Illinois. I believe it is 70+ degrees out and sunny. I'll get to enjoy it when I am off work in an hour. Legs and knees hurting so I'll go home for a couple hours and rest then go to dinner with my BFF. Hope the rest of you have the opportunity to enjoy the day and weekend!
Welcome to Springtime everyone!
-
Dwill I hope those shots work wonders for u and yes it's warmer today, probably warmer where u are.
Have a great time tonight.
