Teka, it sounds like you have a busy kitchen.
I'm with you Cami, I could eat every cupcake. Of course that is a "sweet" problem that I have ... one serving is seldom enough.
Jazzy, I hope your work week is going smoothly. You have had some trying weeks lately.
Ducky and Lily, "fed up with being fed up" hit home with me. Your posts made me feel less like it's just me. The BCO threads are so important to me.
-
Okay, the page turned on me for the second time this morning ... first on another thread.
Ducky, it sounds like cooking together is more fun than work for you. Both my sons put my cooking to shame ... we even joke about it.
Jazzy, so sorry about your sleep problems. Do you have any idea what causes them? You are certainly good about exercising. The picture made me wonder what the littlest bird might be saying?
-
Jazzy.....hope you have a good day.........horrible being up and looking around the room.......I love shamrock plants.........I use to buy one every year for my grandkids.....they loved them, but they do not live for very long............let me know how you make out with yours.......such a nice thing the clerk did...........she probably figured "they are going to be trash at the end of the night, so why not give them a good home with a very nice lady"...........and Jazz...that was you........
Sally.....cooking and baking has always been my love...........big family, so there was always a meal on the table.........when my kids were younger and in HS......they would drive to school, or be picked up by a friend.....they would either just finish or if running late would go to the car with a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel.....their friends would say........"did you make that"....my kids would say NO, my Mom did"........guess what the answer would be........."Wow I can't believe your Mom still makes your breakfast in the morning, mine was still in bed".................WHAT.......my day began at 5:30 when my husband got up, and I made his breakfast..........but that was a totally different time......today is different........and guess what......don't say "well today most women work"...............I worked outside the home too..............I just loved taking care of my family...........guess I got that from my Mother, but I was an only child.................
-
Jazzy sorry about the sleeping issue, I am on predisone now and went to sleep at 430am til 10 (off and on)..I had corn beef and cabbage....
how is everyone!!
-
Sandy.........Hi again sweetie........
-
Hi Ducky how are you what is going on, you ok? -
I'm good......a few problems at home making me sad, but it will get better......it has too.....it is my grandson.......
Hope your good.......waiting for the weather to break so we can put on our capri's open toed shoes, and go have lunch somewhere......almost got to do it onThursday with Joan, and Fire but because of home issues I have to go somewhere on Thursday...............I feel like a trapped rat being in this house all winter.........its bad enough when you don't want to go out, but when you clearly "can't go out".....it is even worse.......just hoping yesteday was the end.........hugs.
-
A reminder to my fellow Hermies!!!!

Be strong and big warm hugs and thoughts to all

Someone has to be a Princess-I never did qualify. I came out a stubborn badass.
I don't see why your title cannot be amended. Princess Badass
Love the bird pic Jazz
They were singing today-Makes me so excited for nicer days to come
Hugs all.
-
Ohhhhhh Piper I love that even more.........Princess Badass...........LOL........by the way......share your picture......your son is a looker......
-
LOL PBA!
My son looks like he is from your family. Everyone thinks he is pure Italian-truth is he is more Slovak than Italian.
-
My SIL is Slovak........my daughter is irish and italian......
-
Jazz I love the birds photo. Thanks for posting it.
Ducky it must be really difficult if the issue is with your grandson. With our kids we at least have the illusion that we have some control but with Grandkids, it is so much out of our hands. I will be thinking of you.

Good Morning Hermmies-
Oh Jazzy sometimes I worry about u--U do so much and I think u might overdue once in a while and u'r on superwind--Please dont' be upset with me-- May u expect to much of u'rself and u just keep on going when maybe u should slow down a little so u'r body can relax, not sleep but relax.
Lily u'r immune system is still all over the place-- u haven't even been on Aromasin a full yr yet and that does a number on u too, I'm sorry it's so difficult for u--but this chit is crap. It all takes time. Longer than we ever thought.
Talking about food my sister and I talked for a while and all of a sudden she said oh this is sad, we just talking about food--for St. Paddy's day hahaha we used to talk about parties nd drinking and staying up. Times change My sister is not a sweet eater but I on the other hand have the body to prove it. I dieted all my life sine I was a teenager and yet when I got older I never did and u can see it, but I was so tired of it and the last 10 yrs I've really been bad, now no matter what I can't loose it--I have days where I can't eat or have my D and nothing hahaha so why bother. I'm a mess anyway.
-
Dear hermits- slept better last night. Some of you wondered about the sleep problems and I think it is two things a) stress from work and b) the arimidex. Not sleeping well makes for a sucky day at work (which already sucks, LOL!)
Ducky- thanks for the kind words. I hope the shamrocks will last for a bit, I planted them yesterday and just need to find the best spot for them to thrive in my dining room area where most of the plants are right now (until April when it is usually warm enough for them to go outside for the summer). I also hope things with your grandson are better soon (hugs).
Lily- I love that you dance. I am sorry you are not able to right now, a good thing for the mind, body and soul. I love dance, what kind of dance do you do?
I am working on a difficult project for a difficult client, but the good news is, I have thirteen weeks left on this contract, so as I like to say "I am in my last trimester!" We have another go live coming in six weeks, and I had a transition plan dumped on me to do right now in the midst of everything. And this week is a shorter week, as I am going up to the hot springs for a weekend of relaxation. So two more days, and I am outta here!
Have I ever talked about my favorite hot springs here? They are up in northern NM in the southern part of Taos County. My favorite part of the state and this place has been around for hundreds of years. Healing waters, but they are also unique in that the pools have their own unique mineral compositions that make them good for different things. My body loves this place, but now it needs this place. Soaking and some body treatments will do this girl good. I am going with a friend from the east coast too! She is here this weekend passing through on a business trip out west and suggested we do this. It's a pre-birthday weekend celebration.
So I am taking Cam's advice and going to relax this weekend! And you can always tell me to slow down Cami, I need others to say that sometimes.
I hope everyone is getting through the week with everything we must get through (sickness, family problems, work challenges, the ongoing SEs we all live with). I am grateful for your gals and this thread.

Jazzy-----MUAH --that's a kiss.
-
A dancey version of Zumba - I like to go at least three times a week........really missing it
I was on femara for nine months before I went on to Aromasin, and been on it probably eight months, seriously thinking of stopping it now as have no life as I know it, just constantly fighting off something............and feel rubbish a lot of the time, look ten years older than i am and feel weary......constantly weary...I did not have chemo so its not that.....dont know if its good that my immune system is identifying so many bugs or that it cannot stop them from sneaking in...............but yet again its hard to breathe....
-
LLily did u call u'r Onc. about u'r breathing? If not please do. it might help u.
-
Lily, I am sorry to hear that you find it hard to breathe. I think I read that you work. It must be very tiring to work with breathing problems. I wish that your doctor could help you to feel better.
-
Lily I am so sorry you are having troubles, I get the breathing problems, thank goodness I have oxygren
Jazzy, see it just isn't me that worries, cammie...thanks for the back up
have fun this weekend!!
-
Blondie u are so sweet, u have problems and we all seem to worry about the others--I guess that's why we're here for all of us. And I still don't really understand u'r problems with breathing tho. If u did explain it somehow I missed it.
-
they originally told me that the breathing problems were from chemo thought since I was off of the red devil it would get better, it didn't and there is not enough fluid in the lung to drain it.....so now the predisone......not sweet, lol....luv you tho.....
Sandy
-
Sandy......can't wait to see you, Joan , and Fire........however......they said pictures........with my liquid nitrogen spotted face...........GREAT.............and each day it looks worse.............Derm said eventually the spots she put it on will fall off...............
Maybe I should have had her do the entire face, and when it fell off I would have a brand new face...........nah guess that can't be done.........oh well I could always put a bag over my head......LOL
-
Lily,
I enjoy a variety of music videos on-line.
Shakira is some dancer!
