Dwill I just hate to see u worry--we worry when we have to and why before-we always have enough on our mind anyway. Tell us what happens and we'll take it from there OK?

Teah. That snow suit is over 50 years old, my 1st poodle wore it in the mid 60s. She wasn't happy with it.
-
Jazzy, so glad you could choose to work from home. The pueblo picture is wonderful. I have looked at it several times and have seen different aspects each time.
dwill, hope you get a good answer from your doc.
-
Jazzy, speaking of Hot Firemen, on the day of my last AC, I asked the nurse if they were going to put on silly hats, and sing & dance for me. She said, " no, we'll do that after your 12 weekly Taxol." I said, "If I have to wait that long, I want CUPCAKES & HOT FIREMEN!!!
Btw...I love the tv show, Chicago Fire!
-
I just got back from the Stephanie Center. Appointment was with Carmen, the nurse practioner. I showed her the tiny lump above my surgery site, and she found a second one.
She went to get my onco, Dr. Mrozek, who was there within 2 minutes. I told her, "If this is another cancer, I'm going to be so angry!" She said, "and I will be angry too!"
They called downstairs and got me right in for an ultra sound. I only waited a few minutes to be seen.
Thank God it's only scar tissue! Hallelujah!
Nobody likes scarring, but after BC, scar tissue is excellent!
I so love the Stephanie...everything under one roof. Hugs from my Dr. and nurse/pract.
My doctors, surgeon & onco work together. They're the DYNAMIC DUO! -
Soteria, so happy that you got help quickly and that the lumps were nothing bad
-
Paula good news. Both my sets of Drs offices were right in the hospital so that would happen to me too, they'd just make a call and zap there I was and back in the office with the answers that was the best--no waiting to think about it at all.
-
Soteria- sharing her good new here on this thread. I saw it on another too. You have had quite the week my friend!
Dwill- I have had itching in my breast too periodically. I had surgery on both sides and do know you can have itching in your breast after having surgery. Itching is a sign of healing. And it sounds like you had some surgery around that nipple. It can also be a sign of Pagets disease, a type of breast cancer. There seem to be other signs that go with the itching too.
Mine has come and gone and not remained an ongoing problem. But I pay attention to these things as you do as well. I am glad you are getting it checked out and prayers for a good outcomes.
I start my next 6 month follow up next Friday, beginning with the breast surgeon, and feel the anxiety building. Part of my need to stay away from the stressful client site right now too. I seem to think it will get easier with time, but probably not....
-
For me itchjing was a blessing. I was watching a movie and got this itch on the outside of my r breast. As I scratched it I felt something hard under the area. It was a Friday evening. I left a message at Breast surgeons office and she had me in on Monday Morning, biopsy, ultrasound, 25, I kid you not Mammos all in one day. I left for Seattle the next day tp find a house as we were moving! Dr called me on Thursday with diagnosis and the next week I had surgery back in Illinois. . I continued treatment in Seattle at SCCA.
-
Cami, Jazzy, Soteria, Spookiesmom, Lily and others, I made it to see my GP on Friday. She did not feel any lumps but believed like Jazzy that it could be the healing of the incision line around the areola even though it been more than two months. She also said it could have been an allergy to something. She gave me a ointment to use but did order an diagnosis plus ultrasound. This made me feel better since we never felt anything with the right breast either and it was only through ultrasound and other test that the cancer in the right breast was found. Will be following through on Monday to make an appointment for the diagnosis with ultrasound.
-
Sounds like you're on the right track. Hope it isjust an allergy!
-
Dwill- things sound like they are moving in the right direction. I hope you get more information from the ultrasound to put your mind at ease.
-
Dwill actually sounds pretty good, so they will make sure. good.

After a blast of winter this week, temps were mid 50s today and I did some yard clean up. Starting to get things ready for spring. Starting to think about my gardens.

Slept well last night (finally) and woke up with good energy today so I went to the sunday salsa class at my gym. Really fun and like to shake my thang. There was a hottie in there too. He is probably 20 years younger though. I could be Mrs. Robinson?
Cami- There is an Italian film fest in my city this week. I am going to try to get to something. They actually have some of the film makers here from Italy. I went once years ago to something, pretty cool. Since I am working at home this week, I may get a chance to do some more things in the evening that I never have the time or energy to do.
-
Jazzy I'm glad u'r working at home, u have so much energy anyway u use some of it for fun. Remember Italians are a crazy bunch, so are their movies. LOL
-
Jazzy, salsa dancing looks like such fun. Dancing has always been hard for me except the twist. For some reason I did not feel self-conscious when doing the twist ... oh, I could do a mean polka too!
-
Sally- it took me awhile to work up the courage to do the salsa class. When I went back to exercise last year (recovering from both major abdominal surgery and the breast surgery), I was very careful about what I did. Did weight lifting, abs (carefully) and swimming for a long time. Then I got into doing more walking last summer. I decided in the new year to try salsa and ramp it up another notch. The salsa is a heck of a work out, but fun too! I am tired tonight though, it kicked my butt! There is also a lot of dancing on the toes which is not always easy (my feet get stiff from the anastrazole). But I held my own.
Cami- I grew up in southern CT which is filled with a heavy population of Italians. Most of the kids I grew up with were either waspy like me, Jewish or Italian. Oh how I miss the good Italian food back east! I have been to Italy twice, once on a cruise in 1994 when we stopped to take a trip to Rome and also went to Sicily. Then again in 2009 on a trip to northern Italy, where I spent time in Tuscany for two weeks (Florence, plus many other wonderful cities). I love anything Italian- the food, the fine leather shoes, and the movies too! Oh yes, and the hot Italian men too. I consider myself "quasi-Italian!"
It was a mild day here today, really felt like spring with temps up to 60 plus degrees! I thought there was another winter storm coming, but see nothing on weather.com forecasted for the week. I know, shut about the mild weather already, right?
Hoping everyone has a good week.I hope things go well for you Dwill. I go see the breast surgeon Friday to begin my next 6 month follow up. I had a lot of anxiety about it last week, doing better now.
