Cute story from today. Met my friend Bobbie for a walk in the nearby park and she had her 3 year old son with her. When we do this, we do a couple laps around the park track, then go down in the playground area for her son to play.
Today there were lots of children there and they were playing "Titanic" and one kid was running around saying "we're on the Titanic and hit an iceberg!" The kids played some more and then were all jumping up and down with glee "we are sinking!" As though that was a good thing.
The innocence of children.

I watched my 1st football game!
-
Gee Teka I've never watched one, just don't like football and neither does our dog, he watches TV with me whenever a football game is on, when it's over he leaves. Typical male just uses me and my TV.
-
I'll probably never watch another football game!
-
But Teka, did you enjoy the commercials?
-
Yes!
-
This was my 4th Football game. SEAHAWKS!!!!!
-
I fast forwarded most of the game, but watched the ads. I was disappointed with those too. They spend $$$$millions for a 30 second spot. I was looking to be entertained. I did love the 2 Doritos ads, and of course, the puppy & Clydesdales from Budweiser.
Do any of you watch the Olympics opening ceremonies? I don't care much for summer sports, but I do enjoy a lot of the winter ones. I hope there's no trouble in Sochi.
Paula

I'll be watching the opening!
-
Watched the whole game, love football...commercials sucked and so did the game...Bruno Mars was awesome!!
-
Goldie Blox commercial is good. Go see it on youtube.
GO SEAHAWKS YAHOO!!!!!!!!

Jazzy, cute picture. Did someone you know decorate the cupcakes ... what talent? They make me think of buttercream icing which I REALLY like.
-
Awwwww how cute! Is that your fur kid?
-
Hi Spookie- no, that came off FB. I have no pets due to allergies, but do love animals so!
Gave a friend a ride to work today and met her two new kittens and gigantic St. Bernard. When I rang the doorbell, she opened the door slowly and out came this gigantic nose followed by one very big dog. I am 5 foot 7 and that dog came up to my waist!
Working on my short story tonight. I have been deliquent about my writing but have another class tomorrow (we finish next week already- boo hoo!)
-
Wow the time has flown by on that class.
I've never met a Saint B in person, from their pics they look huge. Their heads are prolly bigger than all of my 7# Spookie
-
Jazzy I love that pic. and just think those St. Bernard's are special furbabies they have to be big to do the job they were meant to do and we could sure have one out here carrying what they are trained to carry.
-
Some rain and snow tonight, which is a surprise. Many are overwhelmed by all the snow and cold this winter. This is the first moisture we have seen in over six weeks!
Got three pages done on the short story and will save the rest of the work for next week. The teacher says it should really only be anywhere from 3-10 pages. I think mine is going to be around 7-8. It is developing nicely!
-
OMG Jazzy that is so hard to do, writing. I did try years ago and got inpatient to get to my thought and I know that doesn't work that way. And I also did a childrens story about the tooth fair that I made up when the kids were little and they loved it, but when I wrote it out I was putting in my goofy sense of humor and it wasn't meant for that. and I left it alone--my DD still has the writing cuz it wasn't to long ago. It's so silly.
-
Hi Cami- they call that childrens writing, humor writing too. There so many different kinds of writing people can do!
You need to find that story and ready it again to Joey!
-
Good Morning!!
Heading out for the day.
-
Teka, are you going out on fun adventures ... Hope so ... have fun.
-
This old Hermit is getting out of the house today! I've actually been out everyday in the past 4. I did the usual errands on Saturday, church & lunch Sunday, PCP Monday, and I'm having lunch at Red Lobster with my sister today.
We've had to cancel Bible study the past 2 weeks because of extreme cold, and with 6-10 inches of snow on the way tonight, it looks like we'll have to cancel tomorrow too.
I go to my onc on Friday for follow up and I'll have her look at that tiny knot I found above my scar. Believing it's just a cyst.

Lily55, but the truth!
-
Hi Ducky- good to see you here. I heard about world cancer day on the news today, and that they expect cancer occurrences to rise 70% in the next 20 years. A sobering statistic. Made me think about a lot of things and people today.....
Hoping everyone is having a good day. We got snow finally.
