i am feeling sad today as this thread used to feel a safe nest where you could rely on kindness and gentleness with each other but over the last few weeks the atmosphere has changed a lot. Clearly something went on between some members but despite that there seem to be lots of old members absent and i wonder if they also feel like me, that the nest is lost now ?
-
Lily of course it's up to you, but over time a lot of threads have bumps in them, but we get thru it and settle down and it back as usual, no one like it but it happens---there is still goodness here, safety and kindness here-but remember not everyone gets along perfectly cancer or not. there are so many personalities involved and very fragile temperaments it's not easy-we just go along and try to get back on track--we don't like loosing some people, but it happens--it doesn't change the thread it just changes with different people.I t actually happens on more than this one, it's just the way it is. But most of us try to overlook things and some cn't for their own private reasons , but I still respect anyone for leaving cuz there are usually a lot of reasons involved not just one. And it's understandable.

Hi hermits- I plan to stick around here. I have come and gone from other threads that have not always been a fit for me, but love my hermits.
-
Well said, Cami.
-
Lily.......Hermits was a great place.....it still can be......don't be discouraged................hugs
-
Good Morning Hermits.
After today's zap only 10 more rad treatments. I am amazed at the emotional stages I have gone through. During each one I think I have figured out my new normal. Ha-ha on me. A new stage comes along, and I find a different new normal. Being on this thread has been a blessing ... thank you all.
-
A lot of threads go up and down, and we are committed to making this one return to its wonderful, supportive nature!
-
-
I like it, SDB!
Edited because my dyslexia was showing...SDB, not SBD.
-
I love it SDB.....
-
-
I truly hope everything has settled down, after all it is true, if we all felt good and "normal" we wouldn't be here. We have bad days, some good days and even worse days--and no rules how we feel. So let's ll just keep going---this is a wonderful group and some have stayed and if anyone is helped by it it's wonderful.
-
Just wanted you all to know I'm not MIA. I'm reading, just haven't been posting.
For the record: I'm not easily offended.
Blessings
Paula

Hi hermits- we are getting a big storm here in NM today, lots of snow! Weather moved in Monday and left the first layer of snow on ground tuesday morning as I drove to work. Then a big storm moved in today and it is still going on. Expected to drop 3-4 inches in the valley, 10 or more inches in the mountains. This is a good thing for us as we desperately need the moisture for our water supply and fire risks. Never mind the plants and trees that need a good watering. We have snow forecasted through the week, a break, and then more next week.
Writing class is almost done! Got my feedback on my short story last night and some work to do to finalize it for the final read next week. Our group may form an ongoing writers group to meet periodically, an idea I love!
My doctor called in my mammo and ultrasound orders. I go see her for my next 6 month follow up next week and then the mammo follows on the 28th. Trying to remain steady as it all approaches.
Sally- good to hear your rad treatments are almost done. No doubt you have had the emotional ride with this as well as all the rest. You may feel tired for awhile after the treatments are done. Be sure to get plenty of rest. The fatigue will lift with time.
Cami, Teka, Blondie, Lilly, Markat, FL, Dutch, Ducky, Slow, Kathy, Spookie, CC, and everyone else out here this week, hoping you are having a good week with whatever you may be doing or getting through. Our thread has gone through some tough times lately, but love and kindness will get us through.......
-
love you all
-
Jazzy I love that idea that u might be meeting anyway---what a pleasant way to spend time with something of u'r interest. And good for the snow--u guys really need it--we don't but I'm glad it finally going u' way. And yes this thread has bit a little bumpy, but a lot of threads go thru changes after all there are so many personalities, but we'll get thru it We're basically a strong bunch, we've been sad together, alone together and happy together and we'll continue and will continue to welcome new people and people back. No problem.
-
love and kindness is what we need to ourselves as well as others....
-
-
Hi hermits- as the Beatles said once long ago "all you need is love." Today is the 50 year anniversary of their first trip to the US!
-
Hi Kathec, Lily, Jazz, Cami, Sally, Dutch, Soteria......
FIRECRACKER..................WHERE ARE YOU...................come out, come out, wherever you are.............
-
THERE SHE IS...................LMAO
-
Ok Cami, I'll be offended just for you. You hussy, you!
I'm getting fed up with living in the TUNDRA!!! Jimmy came home from work at 1:00 am and the van got stuck at the end of the driveway. So he helped me walk down the drive so I could steer while he pushed. That wasn't working, so I got out to stand there while he got the van unstuck.
I took a step and suddenly the icy snow broke thru. So now I'm standing in snow way above my ankles. Then I wasn't standing anymore! Just sitting there on the ground, covered in snow, can't get up without sliding more.....Butt frozen! Finally called the Fire Dept. They were awesome! Got me right up and helped me walk to the door.
I'm not hurt, but pretty sure my butt is frost bitten!
