Soto.......I am sorry, but I am LMAO right now..........sounds like something I would have done.........just glad your ok, and not hurt............Fire Company............LOL.........OMG, great snow and ice story.........LOL
-
Soto........could not resist............
-
ducky, that's about how I looked, I'm sure. Nothing hurt but my pride. Thank God it was after the neighbors were in bed. DH asked the lady firefighter if she thought I might want to come back out and play in the snow. She told him, "I don't think I'd mention that to her right now." Lol.
-
LOL......
-
Soteria, glad you are not hurt!
CCFW, good luck with your techie call today. Why are you switching email accounts? Did I miss a major security debacle?
-
Lily55, thinking about you and hoping the virus takes a hike quickly.
Hi duckyb1. Do you have power and heat back?
-
Yes, and yes........................it was out for 12 hours...................the new storm I sailed through.....probably because whatever was wrong on my "grid and lines" was taken care of with the outages from the storm 2 days before this ice storm..........
Many here, about 400,000 have no power..........yesterday all my kids were out........today just 1 still has no power.........but he has a built in generator in his home......it works just like the hospital generators.....as soon as the power shuts down, his generator kicks on......when he built his house he thought of everything........so even without the power from the Electric Co. he is ok..........
Lily.........get well soon girlfriend......take care of you.....for us.
-
Paula OMG u had to call the Fire Depart.? OMG If I was with u there would be yellow snow all over the place--U poor thing , I'm sorry but it's funny u know that.?

-
Cami, no need to be sorry. I found it quite funny too once I was back in the house. The firefighters were just awesome!

Hi hermits- I went to a professional organization event today (called Women in Technology) and reconnected with a whole lotta people I have not seen in a couple years, and even longer. Ran into a group of folks from a previous job here and sat with their table. Fun! And saw a woman who was my business coach and a few others I have not seen since the summer of 2012.
People were asking "where have you been, is everything okay with you, etc?" I said I had family issues and other personal things going on and just taking care of things I needed to, and then we moved on to other conversation. It was nice to feel welcomed back into a community of folks I enjoy and have missed!
Winter still lingering here.

Sally
I got a notice from Yahoo that my email may have been hacked. Had seen it on the news too. Had to change my password now everything seems to be ok.
-
Perfect Ducky, lol. Glad you're ok, Paula
-
ducky, yep, looked just like that.
Cami, yes, I love me some hot firemen, but one of them was a woman. Very kind.
-
Jazzy u'r really connecting big time lately, I'm so happy for you--it's time to be happy.
Ducky that's hysterical.
-
Glad Soteria did not get hurt.........with all that snow it probably cushioned her fall.............
-
Paula Ducky is right if it was hard ground who knows what u could have hurt, u just lost u dignity (as was said) but didn't crash any bones or muscles.
-
-
Paula- you okay? Hot firemen are a total bonus to any bad situation.
Cami- love the photo.
I decided I am working from home next week. My client is abusing everybody on this project, and as a self employed person, I have options to work from home. My doctors told me when I went back to work after everything that happened to be self managing and modulate if the stress became to much. To opt to work from home if I needed to, because I can. So I sent my client a text and will let her know. This is what we do in the new normal, we take good care of ourselves and don't let others have control of our well being. I voted myself off the island!!!!!
-
One of the lovliest photos of Taos Pueblo to the north of where I live I have ever seen. Winter returned this week!
-
good for you Jazzy, in the past I would have made myself work when ill but not now
-
Don't know where to go with this but I am a member of several threads including this one. Well I had my TE exchange on my right breast on November 26th, 2013, and a failed attempt on my left breast to lift it. My PS said he would do a lift and liposuction in 4 months after the right implant has settled. Here's my issue--- I right at the year of my Cancerversary and called YESTERDAY to get an appointment to have a mammogram for my left breast. I off handed mentioned that it has been itching around the nipple for at least 6 weeks. The tech would not make my appointment and told me to go back to my doctor--any of my doctors--and get a diagnosis plus ultrasound referral. That frightened me so I looked up itchiness and breast and it mention it could be a sign of breast cancer. Now I am scared to death for my left breast. I have an emergency appointment to have a regular check and to get a referral today after work. Do I have anything to worry about? I may post this in another thread too because I am anxious now and sort of scared and need someone to respond quickly.
-
Dwill if u have any signs of anything they want u to see a Dr. before they do any mammo, don't borrow trouble, but u have to be vigilant and see u'r Dr. as u seem to be doing. They certainly want to make sure everything is OK--Stay away from google now--just take it as the Dr. wants to make sure. That's all .
-
dwill it can be any number of things but itchiness there can only be examined by ultrasound so this is good they are doing it fast,
-
Camilegal, Google scared me after I read the signs of cancer as itchiness. Never knew itchiness of the nipple area was one of the signs-instant worry.. Before reading Google, I thought the itching was from the healing around the areola where the doctor cut but now it is healed and still itching. Okay, I'll try not to borrow trouble. I keep telling myself it was time for my mammogram anyhow and this will just be more thorough. Seeing my GP in two hours for a preliminary check and she'll send me to the Mammogram Center. Don't want to be stress through the weekend, though. Trying to relax and be realistic about this. Thanks for the advice Cami.
