    Now, on the sex issue...ya'll made me laugh!! This might be R rated or TMI-tell me if too much okay?

    I've given dh a "hand" a couple of times, but that is about it. It doesn't take much for dh either, I know he just wants to the closeness and physicall feeling, so do I think. I feel so unfeminine though. Maybe like someone said, a cute camisole or nightgown will help.

    BTW, I slept so good last night..thank you lord!!!

    Tango.... well that's a start...  Maybe you will warm up a little yourself, with more time....   Sometimes when things are on our mind, we just don't plain want to!   Sometimes seeing a movie....  ummmmm, you know what I mean,.... is all it takes...  !   YOU will feel desirable also, by taking a nice shower, putting on some sweet smelling stuff, and that "camisole" and maybe some high heels.... 'Cept I would break my neck.... Go walk in front of him.... If YOU feel sexy, so will HE! 

    Don't go walkin' around outdoors like Cammi does... Some things are best kept private...Ha!

    Hello owlettes. Love this forum and all the discussions. Always a good place for advice and laughs. Hope to have more time to post now that I'm recovering from surgery once again.  

    Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but my insomnia was helped by turning screen brightness down. I just have to read before sleep, and didn't realize my kindle (or any screen) stimulates your brain to wake up. I changed my settings to a black background with white lettering and turned the brightness down and it really helped!

    Chevy, 54 I'm 63, I've been told I'm a cougar, I no longer talk to that person. She wasn't joking . She went on and on. Very offensive............ DBF failed the eye test for his license. I got him into my eye docs office. They have an optician right in the office. So, glasses are ordered. They did give him a temporary.

     I made him call all the HVAC companies in the book. Everyone tokd them just to write thry in "everyone does it". Nope, It's a felony---"ain't no felonies around here". He's got a bunch wanting resumes. LOL

    And Sass....  That "person" is a bitch!  Nope, don't talk to that person!  Of all the nerve!   So what business is it of hers ANYway!  You should have smacked her!   You are NOT a cougar....  You can be a sweet little Feline person, who is LUCKY enough to have SOMEone in her LIFE!  Period!    Now if he were maybe in his 30's, we might frown on it.... Or maybe NOT!  Loopy  WHAT do we know?

    SisterOwlettes - Oh, y'all are such an awesome bunch!

    Arrangements are proceeding, although each detail takes quite a bit of wrangling before it comes out right. Thankfully, DH and I started this process a year ago... and this will be the third funeral I've personally arranged.  

    But today - a day at the salon!!! Hair color, cut, and I'm good to go. I've been wearing a rather unruly shrub on the top of my head... and sometimes I don't even brush it before leaving the house. Hey, I might even get to my pedicure next week... before my toenails start clicking on the tiles like a big dog...

    Don't think I can catch up with everyone individually, so I'll just say THANK YOU for the lovely words, thoughts, and prayers!

    Hope everyone has a relaxing, soothing Saturday... and plenty of naps if you need them.

    Sas, to hell with her and the broom she flew in on. No worries, life to way too short to pay attention to age difference, especially adults...kids, now that sometimes is scary....would anyone think to comment if he was 8-9 years older? NO ! Double standard for women on so many issues...

Ha, ha!    And THEN send us a picture!

    Tang Chevy has a good idea--Oh can't believe I said that.---anyway put on a really pretty camisole and panites and smell pretty-whatever u'r DH likes and take care of u'r DH anyway u can. U want him to know u love him, like I said he's in a confused state of mind so u lead him and he'll feel more comfortable after a little time--I think he'll know when u really don't feel well enough

    OK finally caught up.  Blessings & Chevy, so sorry about your losses.  ((hugs))

    Sassy, will be in your pocket for thyroidectomy on the 28th.  I think I told you I had radioactive iodine 20+years ago to kill off hyperactive thyroid without surgery.  I take thyroid pill every morning, been on same dose for years now.

    Happy for all of us having good sex.  I didn't want to during chemo and for months after had no desire.  But at annual exam 3 years ago, PCP basically said use it or lose it.  Didn't want to lose it so that's when we started weekly date night.  DH was hesitant at first and so was I but a margarita (or two) helped break the ice.  It's better now than it ever was, sweeter too.  Life is hard and we should take our pleasures when we can. 

    Oh and it's a hoot to see the "OMG granny's having sex" look cross the 20-YO cashier's face when I buy KY LOL.  Shocked

    Ah Badger!  Great advice!    Yes, KY is good.... So is just plain old Vaseline.... 

    Try buying a pack of rubbers.... and see the looks on their faces.... Or even the pregnancy kit!  Ha, ha!   Take those purchases to the cutest guy in the store!   Just wink at him..... then  take his picture, and post it here!

    Badger, you may have white hair, but your skin is like a 20y/o,  I'm worried about the thyroid b/c I'm busting out all over with weird stuff. BTW the hat I gave you fits your date night perfectly. Duh I will not be able to listen to that song without thinking of you and DH having SEX. 

    Tang, Badgers right just do what you were thinking, He'll get the idea.

    Check with someone one the sex thing and chemo, just to be on the safe side.

    We're going to a Superbowl Party tomorrow. Folks behind me. It's there big party of the year. They project onto the flat part of the back of the house. Huge screen. Lots of food and drinks. Great party every year. 

    They weren't very fond of DBF, but he's been working over there all week. They can't believe what a hard worker he is, they described as the _____-bunny that just keeps on going. This is very good. They are the last of my friends to change their minds about him Will make life much more fun.

    Sas if it's not the Bears, who cares. It's just another reason to have people over and a party, but personally I think they should have Superbowl Saturday, so people don't have t work the next day.

    Welcome Bluebird. I hope your recovery from your latest surgery is going well. Glad to have you here with us. This is a lively and rather entertaining bunch!

    Blessings- how lovely that you got your hair done today. A little self care goes a long way. Thinking of you as you work through the arrangements. I have only arranged one funeral in my life, but gave eulogies for both parents and my brother. I hope everything goes well and that you can get that pedicure after everything is settled. A warm bath might be nice too!

    Well, not as many pages as yesterday. Are you all out shopping for Super Bowl snacks, is that why no postings?? JK - love all of you.

    I attempted to post this about 8 hours ago - don't know where the time went, kept meaning to get back and finish reading and now it's almost 10:15 pm. But hey only 15 posts during that time. I WILL catch up.

    Blessings - My prayers for your family and DH and hugs for you. Sounds very peaceful and how I would like to go when my time is near. Hear that you got your me time. I got my hair whacked off last week and it feels better.

    I can't remember what went on yesterday and don't think I even finished reading. I bought groceries & hay, came home put up cold stuff, ate snack and went out again to junk/antique shops up the road. Found 3 chests that would do for my dining room, took pics of 2 b4 I thought camera died - turned out it was just the metal roof that would not transmit phone calls through it. Anyway got DH out this am and we bought one. Little scratched up but what isn't around here. Perfect - an Ethan Allen 1 drawer with cabinet below. Looks dining roomish rather than bedroomish. Paid $89 for it, the one I was looking at at TJ Maxx - and couldn't find unscratched - was $200.

    I had composed part of a message last night but fell asleep on couch watching True Grit remake. Woke up at 1:30 am and went to bed. DH turned off computer sometime. Been a weird day or two.

    Sounds like we're getting ice tomorrow, just on the edge of snow, only 30 miles NW under winter storm warning. Think I will make it to church but may be close. Temp has actually gone up this evening. Tang looks like you get freezing rain. I think we're in for more on Friday and might be worse per channel 8.

    Badger - I've bought KY in the giant economy size for goat kidding. LOL.

    Check liver light HA HA. I actually had something with alcohol. Anyone tried the Lime-a-ritas? They were the 1st out. Now they have strawberry, cranberry - 2 yucks, mango - yum and raspberry - not tried. Now having my nightly hot chocolate. Elec. blankie is on and I'm headed there soon. I think I need a heated throw like Cami's. Have to go to town to glaucoma doc. next week so may be on the shopping list.

    Cures for song stuck in the head. Was on local TV webpage today. Too funny about the timing. Forget that topic says "Earworm" - it is about songs.

    Oh Luv good deal--I have a gorgeous Ethan Allen cabinet (my moms) and it still looks good. And I used the throw this winter like crazy and I have a faux fur throw that is so warm--these are my go to's a lot.
