INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Oh Mamma, don't stop posting. It was my failed attempt to make you laugh. I'm sorry.
-
MammaRay, wish we could help you. Don't leave us hanging, sweet girl.
Mags, SH*T ! Sorry. I also was told my odds for mets was high. If you have more than 2-3 nodes, your prognoisis is different than none or 1. I just completed 6 infusions of Taxotere. It did knock the liver buggers down, but has spread like dandelions. Had a CAT scan 2 days ago. Another blow, looks like lung mets are brewing. I see a spinal surgeon Monday to fix my spine. I feel like Humpty Dumpy.
Hello to all......have a great weekend.....HOOTIE Hoo.....
-
Mags, So sorry to hear about your progression. Your new kitten is absolutely adorable. Aren't they all fireballs when awake at that age? Their energy is amazing.
Mommy, sorry to hear about your aunt.
Sandra, I'm glad Mike will get into a trial at MDA. May it be one of the miracle ones.
Hello to everyone. Can't remember anything, so can't reply to individuals.
-
HiO, I had taxoterrible to start with so I can sympathize. We are still waiting on results of hormone receptivity on the mets, if it is the same as primary I'll probably start faslodex the following week. If it works I can stay on it indefinitely, if not, he will probably want to try halovan. Such fun.
I'm drained after talking to my sisters yesterday, and I had a nice chat with Beatmon as well. Feels strange in a way, doesn't really feel like anything has changed. I still haven't said anything to my son, and I think I need to. He lost his adoptive mom to this crap, and now this. My fear is someone will say something on FaceBook. That would not be cool.
Maybe I'm in shock. I don't really want to think or talk about it, but I don't want to not do so either. I have so many regrets in this life and so much stupid crap I've done.
I need something to distract me…

Sitting down and having a Leinie's right now. Too dang hot to do anything else right now, I was melting while doing laundry and weeding my flower bed.
-
Hi everyone! Just checking in. I'm sitting here watching my hubby go round and round on MY lawnmower! Gggrrrr lol
I keep wondering who's job it was to tell the world to stop spinning because I've stopped spinning? No spinning without me! What a rude awakening! I mean really?! Did they not get the memo?
(((Mag))) I'm so sorry to hear about your progression. I'm lost for words. Your little kitty is so cute! I just have my strays that I feed. I'm glad they have other homes to visit as my hubby hasn't put food out for them in a week. I'm glad they still stop by :-)
I've got a lot more ROM today, very diligent on doing my exercises. It was heaven to be able to take my first shower last night! HEAVEN!
Great, I took a pain pill 2 hours ago and it just now kicks in! What's up with that?! I'm off to Lori Lala Land
Love and hugs to all!
-
MAGS! WTH? I'm so bummed at your news! We'll all be here for you kiddo.... Sorry!
And MamaRay.... You doing alright? Sheesh! It's hard to kid and fool around with you guys, when you are going through so much!
-
lover, you keep the monkey, I'll take the cowboy!
I'm done working in Indianapolis. Tomorrow morning to Omaha to begin play. Yeah! Been hot and humid here. I'll take California heat any day.
Mags, sorry to hear, that just sucks! Wish someone would find something to stop all this sh**t! But your kitty is very cute.
Wench, must of missed your post that the drains came out. Yeah! Still be good! Too soon to go mowing the lawn even in a riding lawn mower!
Hope everybody has a nice weekend.
😎
-
You don't like hairy chest? No, that cowboy is taken. Yeah, heat with humidity is worse than dry heat, the only good thing about sticky heat is you don't need lotion because the skin is always wet.
Lori, no spinning!
I have been cleaning the house and looking for things to give away. We are thinking about downsizing. Crazy how much we have accumulated over the years. So hard to part with certain items, but we don't need so many things to survive. Wish I can live like a minimalist. My goal:
-
-
-
Ok enough day dreaming and back to cleaning.
Feline, will take your advice and go and live life despite the aches and pain in my hips and legs (after I clean the toilets, of course). Ta ta for now.
-
MammaRay ~ Keep posting as much as you are able. I can't imagine how difficult it is for you, not being able to get your words out the way you want. Owlettes speak with their hearts; our hearts will always understand one another. Even if all you can type is a single letter, please keep "talking". We all are here for you 💕
And if you don't need to borrow Chevy's cast iron frying pan maybe she'll let me use it 😉
(((hugs)))

hi guys. Sorry haven't posted much. I collapse from exhaustion most days. But having fun driving back and forth and playing with Claire and Elena. The energy level isn't keeping up but I don't stop. I have a,ways gas sleeping problems...not anymore.....now I pass out. Bipolar sleeping...lol
Hope everyone is in a happy place
-
hi ladies. Feeling a lil better less pain and no nausea. Still exhausted but headed in the right direction. Finally up to responding to some individually. Thank God for notepads cause my memory is horrible.
Mags. - sounds like a tx plan is almost solid. Love the adorable kitten pics. What a great distraction. Although my vote for distraction is definitely the cowboy. I agree about Sas's heart of gold and brain full of important knowledge. She has helped me thru many hard times especially helpful when I am at the hospital
Sas love ya
Loverly. Darn church disputes hurt and run away so many people. Gotta keep reminding ourselves the church is made of regular people. No one is perfect. BTW : love all the views especially the ocean one. Daydreaming......
Feline. sorry to hear about your neighbor. Love your get out and live attitude.
HIO. Not sure I remember your stage IV dx. So sorry. What are they gonna do to fix your spine ? I have had several kyphos to fix fractures and a couple ablations on large umors pressing on spine and ribs.
Chevy. - what???? Don't even think about stopping kidding and foolin around. I personally always look forward to your post. Laughter is awesome !!!! Thought about you today when I went to sonic. Got a chocolate coke. Glad you turned me on to them.
Susan. Aww Elena is adorable love the sunglasses. Super glad you are pushing thru when you can to spend time with them.
Hugs to all. Hootie hoo

Sure hope the man has some padding under his shirt. Looks like the cat is used to it.
-
Hey. Anyone still up ? -
What's up Missy?
-
hey yea. It's you. Was just looking back at your ocean view again. Ah. Daydreams..... A good book and strawberry daiquiri. Ive been exhausted for s long time but tonght not sleepy. Hoping its a positive change just like my hip pain and nausea going away. Why are you up so late ?
Hootie hoo
-
I'm not up late. You are. Haha. It's only 9:47 pm here. You have a boost of energy? Wonderful! How is Xeloda treating you so far? Any nausea?
-
DH arrived in Quinto, Ecuador 4:00 am today and had to ride 6 hours to Muisne. Hope the bugs are not too vicious over there. They had two aftershocks the last few days. In April, the same area was hit with a 7.8 earthquake. 650+ people died and over 22,000 injured. DH is there with a group of people from our church for 15 days. Not sure how much they can help
-
9:47 is late for me. Haha. Didn't realize where you are. Yes a wonderful boost of energy. X has been great so far. No nausea. I do take a daily probiotoc and probiotoc. Not sure which is stopping the daily nausea but I love it ! What was your high temp today ? We had a vlouduy day with a cool front. I think only like 90° today. Woohoo. Except the darn humidity was still high.

Patty & Lover....
I have SNL on, must be a old one.
Lover, is your hip pain arthritis? I am sure you have explained this before, but I must of missed it.
Patty, I was dx in early March with innumerable liver mets. It was painful, swollen & scary. Now 4 1/2 months later, liver looks good, but the stinkin Cancer is everywhere. I had a scan last week, think it's in my lungs. Trying to stay positive, just like you & Susan & others here. Full time job when you feel like crap. My fingernails are toast, the Taxotere was brutal on them. They hurt way more then my 2 compression fractures.
Ok, sorry about the rant.....thank goodness I have you all to be honest with.
MommaRay, post whatever. No worries if you can't edit, we do not need perfection. Heck, look at what Lover & Sasafrass posts.......lol....
-
LOL. Making fun of me Ay?? I love it! Thank you for your honesty.Yes MammaRay, don't go and delete all your posts.
-
hio. Sounds like s hard road. Boo. Sometimes positive is hard to do but its important. So hard when you feel sooo bad. I am thankful for makeup to cover tears. Best face forward, one foot in front of the other , yada yada yada. Keep on keeping on right ???
-
Patty, we hit 90 today. Way better than 101 and 100 a few days ago. So glad you don't have to deal with the nausea. I'm also on probiotics to help keep my stool close to normal. It works when I remember to take it regularly.
Hiho, right hip pain is from osteoarthritis. It doesn't help when I try to move to the right and pound on it to return the badminton birdie. Broke my right foot three years ago trying to jump up to spike the bird. That's what I got for trying to look like the professional players. I still play twice a week. It helps me to forget that I am over mid 40s and that my body is slowly betraying me. I sometimes pay for it the next day though. The pain in the nails sounds horrible. I stubbed both of my big toes a few times while playing badminton and had lost the nails on each side at different times. It was painful each time. I can't imagine going through it with all your nails. OUCH.
-
Hiho and Patty, I am curious. You both have mets to your bones. Wha is/was your Vitamin D level??
-
darn don't remember but do remember it was low and reading many articles about a connection. I take a vitamin d supplement daily and mo test my vit d level regularly. If it's too low we do rx vit d
