INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

For you MammaRay ~
-
Thank you everyone for your well wishes! We are on our way to SIRI Radiology Center, then on to the hospital afterwards.
Reposting from my other thread
The probe I'm talking about is the probe called a BLH SUR Neoprobe Gamma Mammatome device. It's used to locate the chip in my breast at the tumor site so the surgeons can find it easier. No nipple injections, I'd prefer the injections! I think they will also use it to deliver the dye to the lymph nodes??
They'll tape a styrofoam cup to my breast over the probe for protection while going from the radiology building over to the hospital. It doesn't sound like much fun! Here are some pics I found.
-
I forgot to mention that I will be staying overnight. I have a 7 hour procedure scheduled. Fun! Fun!
I'll see you all on the other side of surgery!!
-
Here's to the other side Wenchie. XX
-
Ok, done at SIRI. I didn't need the probe. Yay me!!
Waiting for my turn at the hospital :-)
-
Hi, Lori! Yay for no probe! Praying for a smooth surgery.
-
No probe is a good probe!
-
-
Wenchie ~ Yay! No probes, you are off to a good start 💟
-
Smaarty - your tuffet turned out beautifully. Just right for the Kitties, or your tired feeties.
Shep - Cute pics of the little raccoons.
Wenchie - I know your in surgery/recovery about now, but I am praying that all is/has gone well and you are comfortable. Looking forward to when you are feeling up to posting again.
Loverly - Hehehe! love the part about Shep lightening up on the eye liner.
Well it's back to treatment for me today. Boo!
-
Susan and JunieB ~ It's treatment day for both of you isn't it? Wish we could sit together and pass the time being silly or just quietly enjoying each others company. Prayers for comfort, healing and no yuckies
Smaarty ~ Love the tuffet! It looked so pretty when you first posted the pic. Kitty on top is just the right accent and gives a nice sense of what size it is. Now you have to rename those kittens to rhyme....Muffet, Buffet, Fluffett............
JunieB and Loverly ~ You laugh about the raccoon eyes.....for a moment I was wondering if Loverly had seen a real pic of me somewhere! Then I realized it was the baby raccie pics she was referring to. I do looooove my black eyeliner. Never leave home without it!
Sassy ~ How's the boo-boo nose today? Good thing you weren't wearing a ton of Aqua-net hair spray at the time. That stuff goes up fast! Never light your cigarette on your friend's gas stove. ooops.
Loverly ~ Thank you for the properly panted primates.
And speaking of primates..............
-
I'm out of surgery, all went well and I'm allert and ready to dance down the hall!! I love you guys!! I'm not reasponsable for drugged posting 😘😘
-
Lookie ~ Thank you for mentioning ebooks and online movie rentals from the library a couple few pages back. I went with my DF yesterday to our new library and got a card and am now able to get books, movies and music on my tablet. Very cool! My very first ebook rental? The latest installments of The Walking Dead comics ☺
Loverly ~ My FFH didn't like Life of Pi either. Sometimes he "gets" the deeper movies, sometimes he doesn't. Which ending do you think was "real" the first or the second? Smaarty will have to weigh in her thoughts after she watches it with you. I need to check if the library has the book; I bet it's good.
-
Wenchie out of surgery and feeling good, that is good news.
Shep enjoy your comics. I use the service all the time, I listen to a lot of audiobooks, especially when I am sewing , knitting and exercising.
-
Wenchie ~ I was fighting my tablet to post - it gets fussy - and you snuck in! Hooray all went well! Posting under the influence is soo much fun (for us) ! No matter how fit you are feeling, I would not recommend dancing down the hall. You know your fanny will be hanging out out the back of your "gown" and the nurses will be mean to you after. They will be jealous of your cute patootie. And they really hate chasing down runaway patients. Keep yourself nice and comfy in your fancy hospital bed with all those push button controls. Take full advantage of the room service and make people do stuff for you 😉
Still in your pocket ♥
-
post away wrenchie, it will be fun to hold it over you later....lol. Glad you are feeling good...still be good to yourself....recover recover...the play days will wait for you .
I actually shouldn't be posting after treatment and all those drugs......I answer questions all wrong on theses days....do now I am shutting up......
See you in a few
-
hello all. Poppin in to check on y'all. So many new people but also so many of us old timers. ! Love to read all the exciting things so msny of you are doing . Live on !!
Hottie hoo.
-
HOOTIE Hoo,
Patty, you are bringing lots of smiles tonight. So many of us have been waiting to hear from you. Pace yourself, try not to overdo it.
-
Wench- I had the needles and the cups on both sides during double lump surgery. I remember sitting in a less private waiting room with that too, before they took me in for surgery. It was difficult to keep that covered and people were staring at me. I hope your procedure went okay and you have good outcomes.
MammaRay- hope you are doing okay and resting easily tonight.
-
so happy to hear from you Patty. Wish things were better for you. All you can do is hang in there as best you can.
Wench, glad that part is over, now on to reconstruction. You sounded so up after, how'd you do that? Remember to keep your pjs on!
Lover, we can get together after the 25 when I'm back in town to watch the movie.
Someone asked about the heat. When it's hot, it's hot and dry. Very little humidity here. Makes it so much more bearable.
Night all.
-
Patty!
HiHo said it perfectly about you spreading smiles. I've got one now too
May the joy you spread come back to you dozens and dozens of times over. Prayers for your pain to fade, your body to heal and your days and nights to be filled with laughter and love.
Hope you soon are feeling well enough to be able to come back and talk travel with Sassy. There's this place called Essex that she really, really, really enjoys and has been sad that you are the only one who likes to talk about it with her. If it is such a great place to visit, you'd think she would post some pictures of it for us! Geez!
-
Smaarty ~ Excited to hear what you think of the movie. It's really something special. I don't know about the sequel though.................
-
Hi everyone! Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers! My Pastor from church called before Wednesday night services to check up on me. I could hear his laughter over the phone before he hung up, and I heard him tell his wife that I'm a blessing to the Church. What a relief! I was afraid they'd ask me to find another house of worship once they got to know me!!
I'm doing great so far except... My BP bottomed out a few hours ago. BOOGERS!
All in all I'm feeling great and it seems I'm getting fought over as to who gets to come in when I buzz. I had to get rid of some really really beautiful blue pee. I was admiring it when one of the girls came to check on me. I had buzzed about 4 mins b4 someone came to help. She apologized for taking so long, I told her it was fine as I'm a very patiant patient. She laugh soooo loud and said she hears a lot of hospital jokes but it was the first time she'd heard that one. I think she was fibbing lol
I did have reconstruction immediately afterward. I think I'm doing so well as my previous augmentation was done so well 30 years ago! The pockets were perfect and the implants were intact and there was absolutely no sign of calcification anywhere. That's not my usual luck but I'll take it!
I'm not in much pain so far and I have to warned myself that that doesn't mean I can do things I shouldn't. I'm being a goodietwoshoes and listening to what I'm told. The girls love the chuckels I give them, it's all in a day's work ya know. I can hear the other women aren't doing so well so I'm giving the girls a break! I hope I feel this good and happy in the morning!
I'm going to try to get some sleep but I'm not tired at all! What gives?!?
Love to All
-
Wenchie ~ You are brave, kind and full of fun. Your cheerful attitude lifts us all - You are a blessing to all of us! So happy for you that all continues to go well. Keep an eye on the BP and not the blue pee!
-
You are soooo corny
-
MammaRay ~ Ack! Another sleepless night? Even warrior princesses need their rest. Especially while on a well deserved vacation!
Sending some pixie magic your way........
Wenchie ~ sending Tink your way too but just in case, Madea will follow up to make sure you and MammaRay get the rest you need! -
Loverly ~ at least I didn't post a picture of some blue pee! And don't you dare either!
-
I just couldn't help myself!
-
-
Lori, they must have given you some good narcotics. Very happy that your pain is managed well. AND you don't even sound loopy at all. Must be the pain meds and or anesthesia that are causing the drop in the BP. I was crazy (or crazier) when I was on narcotics. Have to agree with ShepK this time- your cheerful attitude is lifting and a blessing!
Patty, yup, you put a smile on my face also when I saw your post here and there and everywhere. Please listen to HiHo and do take it easy if possible. I know you want to be a good mom to your sweet boys.Hope docs figure out how to control your pain better soon. Also hope that the new treatment gives you managable side effects and put a halt to those boogers.
MammaRay, no place is like home. Wishing you better rest today.
Susan and JunieB, praying for minimal side effects and quicker recovery in strength this round.
ShepK, love the eyes of Ms. Sas' contractor. Can't say the same about the other one. AND why is it that the image of the less favorable one stuck in my head and not the one of the beautiful eyes contractor So wrong!!!
Ms. S, I need to find a good day to invite you over. DH really doesn't like the Life of Pi, so I need to watch it when he's not here.
