Smaarty ~ Hootie-hoo OOOOOO....That guy woke me right up!
Teka ~ so happy for Footprintsangel
Feline - I lurked here for so loooong before I could figure out a username to post under. I was "worried" about what Chevy might rename me! I miss her humor and garden pics too

Me in the morning at 2:00 a.m..
(ShepK, I really tried to find the least close-up photo.)
Thought DH had a heart attack. He woke up around 2:00 to use the restroom and I could hear him making that burping sound. He usually does this when he is nauseous. Anyway, I went and checked on him. He was on the throne sweating bullets and complained of stomach pain and feeling like he was going to faint. I think if I stayed in bed, I would have found him on the floor. What scared me was he kept on yawning, yet had no strength to hold himself up without my help. I couldn't sleep well for fear that he would stop breathing. DH who has a type A personality has high cholesterol (not on med) and his older brother had quad bypass two years ago. It was probably food poisoning, but given his family history of MI, it is reasonable to be concerned. Needless to say I am exhausted.

Not sure what has happened to my other post.....hmmm maybe I forgot to hit submit.
Mommy, good news.
Teka, thank you for letting us now about Debbie's new pup. You ought to drop in more often I miss Ms. Chevy's( and Ms. Spookie's) humor very much too.
ShepK, now that ain't nice sending me plaque of naked men. I know, I should have been a surgeon, but then again I would have to look at naked fluffy men.
-
You guys, I'm here.... Just been busy with "stuff".... I miss you too Teka, Feline, & you little Loverly.... I also miss Spookie.... Just wish we could all get back to "normal".... whatever that is....
I don't post very much.... also trying to get used to my new "smart-phone" that Sheri brought me! AND working in my gardens!
I just never had much to say to "help" anyone going through so much... I just usually ramble on about mostly nothing...Ha!
-
Chevy, we miss your "nothing's" 🌞
Come back with more nothing's, pretty please? With coke and chocolate, hummmmmm?
-
Thank you little Smarty! You say Coke? With Chocolate? Okay, I'll go fix me one... xoxoxo

Loverly ~ OMD......How is he now? Does your family Dr. take emergency calls on the weekend? Scary, scary. Drag him to the ER - he should be checked out.
FFH gave us a heart attack scare years ago when the kids were younger. He had all the symptoms but refused to get out of bed and go to the ER. I called our PCP; he was so concerned he spoke to FFH on the phone and told him to either meet him at the office or go to the ER. FFH still refused and fell into a scary deep sleep. The kids and I sat in the living room together worrying and trying to figure our what to do. He was too big for us to carry out to the car. Plus he gets really grumpy.
It did turn into a nice bonding experience. While we trying to figure out if FFH had expired or not, we had a good talk about what we would do if he had indeed passed. His son decided he would stay here with our little family we had created. His daughter decided she would go live with her mom but come back here for the summer and holidays. My son decided that if anything were to happen to me that he would stay with FHH so he wouldn't be separated from his step-siblings. We did take turns cautiously peeking in on FHH to see how deadish he looked. If he was still breathing, we did not want to incur any grumpy responses. Well just as we had the rest of our lives sorted out, future vacations, home improvements, college plans.......after planning the funeral services and such first.....FFH stumbled out of the bedroom to use the restroom and then came out and made a sandwich . Maybe not a sandwich, but it was some food item.
I won't go so far as to say we were disappointed, but the mood in the house certainly changed. The kids were relieved they weren't going to have to help tidy up the bedroom before we could call an ambulance, coroner, whatever.
It was an experience that brought us closer and we have referred to that day often. We were not only a family, but a team. We never did figure out what had made FFH so sick. He has continued over the years to give us many "scares" involving other near fatal events. What is important is that the kids learned to rationally think in an emergency, problem solve and work together.
Edited to add that Loverly is temporarily forgiven until we know how her hubby is faring.

Loverly - So scary about your DH! Hope he is doing better today. What was that little creature you posted a pic of?
Yeah! MammaRay. What a huge relief. Please define NORMAL for me. There is an author who wrote a book like 20 some years ago and it was titled "Normal is Just a Setting on your Dryer".
Welcome back Miss Chevy! How's the garden growing? I came back from the hospital to weeds trying to take over the flower beds near my apartment and front yard. Took a spray bottle of white vinegar to them. Little buggers.
Sassy - What in the world?
Smaarty - I like the pretty little Owl figurines.
Hey Shep!
Until later.

Hey Chevy - Good to see you again. It was just a hip revision surgery. Things are going well. However, I am dreading going back to treatment next Wednesday though. Been off the Ibrance for 5 weeks now, and 6 weeks since last Faslodex shots. Ahh, reality coming into full bloom.
Hey there Teka - Long time no see. Welcome Back.

Hi ladies- happy July 4th weekend. A bit behind here but wanted to say hi!
Loverly- I called to check on my patio set and found that my sales guy I really liked is no longer there. No updates on the delivery, but should be in the next 3 weeks. I am off the last week of July from my client site and hope it will arrive in a timely way so I can get it delivered while I am off. Looking forward to having it on the patio soon!
Chevy-welcome back! We have missed you! How is the weather in CO? Monsoons have moved in here to NM and it is much cooler now.
Susan- that photo of Claire and Elena is darling! I hope everyone is doing okay.
Mommy- congrats on going to the year check ups! I am going in for my bi-annual check up later this month and should be done with those by next summer. It is good to not have to be at the doctors all the time.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far, two more days to go too for those celebrating July 4th weekend!
-
Jazzy, that just seems like a long time deliver the patio set, but it's good you will be home then to receive it.
Ms. Chevy, I am glad you are back. You are my morning cup of coffee.
Susan, Claire is such a character. Hmmm I wonder where she got it from.
I think it was the left over salmon DH ate the night before that did him in. He is back to his usual self. We even played badminton this afternoon. Had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't fall over. It is really weird how his body compensates . I think the stomach cramps was so great that all the blood must have rushed away from his brain to his tummy or something. I teased him today that if he was a woman, there would not be any kids. This has happened on the plane three times before, one of which I was there. Well not really. I was not with him when he fainted. A flight attendant came to me and woke me up from my slumber to let me know that DH had fainted in front of the bathroom. They had to call over the intercom for a doctor. Two came to tend to him. His BP and pulse were fine. As soon as they gave him oxygen, he woke up. His doctor could not figure out why he had these fainting episodes. I'm thinking it's a combo of exhaustion and eating the wrong food. He doesn't want to go in and see a doctor. I told him he better take an aspirin daily.
Shepk, that was scary what you and the kids went through. And funny in away that you guys were planning the future just in case. The whole time I when I was trying to keep DH upright, I was thinking how I was going to clean him up and make sure his pants are on befoRe EMT arrived

Chevy - The acetabular cap in my right hip was rubbing on and inflamming the iliopsoas tendon and other soft tissues, causing a lot of pain with movement and even sitting sometimes. Surgeon replaced the cap and turned it just a smidge to prevent it from irritating said tissues. So far so good. However, I have yet to do any extensive walking. Fatigue is a real bear.
Loverly - Glad DH is doing better.
I borrowed a really cute pattern today for a stuffed little Owl & Kitty. They are made out of striped chenille fabric. Chenille used to be quite easy to find. Not so much anymore. Color choices very limited and fabric quite expensive.
