Love my Cats, but think they will probably get spanked tomorrow. However, a girl can dream of big bad Wildcats munching on poor little Buckeyes.
-
oh dear. we have cats. two of them....they seem so friendly....
-
I've been trying to communicate with the aliens, but I don't get a response. Of course this could only mean one thing. Could those bumps be horns?
-
Mary, make him show you childhood pics. If no one can remember him, I'd worry!
-
River_Rat ... I loved the youtube song and the catalog living links! Thanks for sharing them.
-
blue, you're right. The vet clinic I go to actually has a copy of the "certificate of live birth" of all the vets on-line, but how can you trust that? It has been authenticated, but ....? Where is the long form? Who is the nurse that was in the delivery room? Where is the umbilical cord? Unless those questions are answered, and there is a video tape of the actual birth in a public place --say the Statue of Liberty, I am not sure that my vet is not a Martian.
-
WATCH what you say about cats, everyone...
-
LOL Athena!
-
Oh my ... what big teeth you have! Nice kitty kitty ...
-
Mary, you gotta warn me. That was definitely a "depends" moment. ROFLMAO!
-
Yeah! You don't want to deal with either of us!!! I've got your back Athena!
-
Hi! I'm back and thank everyone for all the congrats. It was nothing really. Just getting used to live in a world where logic makes no sense any more. I don't want another 10 years of that much less 50! I won't tell you where we went because you would never believe anyone but "me" would spend her 50th Anni there! But no socialists, commies, or martians appeared. Just DP pretending he didn't know who I was as usual!
WHY do you have to think I am getting in a frenzy just because I share news with you which was first shared by someone else?? Our enemies want us to get in a frenzy and that is NOT what I advocate. Nothing I have posted has said anything about spinning yourself into a bowl of butter like Lil Sambo did. Just thought you might be interested in certain things happening in our world without making butter for the world food chain! YOU are the ones turning this into a mockery and making jokes of it, not me. Why can't we discuss our different opinions about a political issue without having to turn it into a big joke? I respect Shirley for sharing her opinions and links with me but when and if she continues to do so, I will not post my personal opinions in this group. I will find a political group where I can change ideas with people who do not make a mockery of things going on in their own country. NOW you all can get ticked off at me and tell me to go back to Mars where I would really feel more at home. At least I can speak their language and know they will not make me feel like a dodo for having real concerns for my country.
I can take jokes about anything and even being made the brunt of jokes but not when it comes to my country. NOW Melissa, you may do your duty and ban me if you so desire. I, am not being the nice person I always try to be with this group. I am sure I must have broken "some" type of rules tonight. Have fun ladies, just don't have it making fun of me and my political concerns.
-
Medigal, we weren't making you the brunt of our jokes. You didn't drop a bomb and then retreat. That seems to be the modus operandi. Shirey herself knew that she would be "running away" after posting, so why post such trash to begin with. Discussion is good, but dropping a bomb and then retreating looking for reaction is exactly what one gets, and I believe that is the intention. So rather than get angry, we joke about it.
-
blue, I agree. Medigal is NOT the brunt of the joke. It is the source that is the brunt of our jokes.
Also, sorry about the Depends moment!
-
Blue -- exactly! There are many of us who have absolutely no use for the paranoid imaginings of Beck and his blog. My tagline -- Fear is the most poswerful enemy of reason -- is there because I firmly believe that instilling fear in the populace through unsubstantiated "claims" is about the most unpatriotic activity anyone with a name and a following can do.
As Blue says, there's no point getting angry about it. We have to make jokes, to save our sanity!
There you have it, from a self-admitted and proud liberal Canadian!
Happy Anniversary! Fifty golden years and many more, I hope!
-
Also, first it was racism (or reverse racism), the birth certificate thing, the Soros conspiracy, the Caliphate conspiracy, the Kenyan Colonial conspiracy, the Chinese stealing our water, etc, etc, etc Just stop. Beck is a fear-monger of the worst kind. He makes McCarthy look good.
-
Blue: You are always the "peaceful" link when things get out of hand and what you say makes sense. I do not want to think Shirley would post such a link and then retreat leaving me alone to face the reactions. Unfortunately and fortunately for my country, I take politics very seriously but I have no place to retreat to when things get out of hand in the group. It is also not in my makeup to retreat if I feel I am not wrong. This group means so much to me but if Melissa lets me stay, I will not fall prey to any more political links since you all have made it clear how you feel about these things. I am sure there must be discussion groups which are mainly for politics and I will try to find one where I can have true discussions without causing problems to the group. This group has made it clear, this is not that place. Thank you Blue for helping me to understand this issue more clearly.

Now, back to my vet and trying to find proof that he is not a Martian. Besides demanding to see a video of his actual birth, what else can I do? I have contacted the RCMP and asked that his school records be made public. I have also started a lawsuit to demand that he gives a sample of his DNA. I also want to speak to every child he went to school with. I will not stop until I irrefutable proof that he is not a Martian.
Edited to add: Medigal, of course you belong here! Just because I think Beck is a moronic idiot and will make fun of him any chance I get, doesn't mean you can't be here.
-
Why would Melissa not let you stay???
-
Medigal - congrats on your anniversary.
-
You will have to go on faith Mary.
Medigal, believe it or not, the kind of things being presented are doing more harm to the USA than not. I can't believe the disrespect I have read from the far right. Nothing your president does is good in their eyes. Put up a united front for the sake of the other nations, even if you don't like the guy. If you show such disrespect, how do you think the world will think of and treat the USA? (You is a general you).
Everyone has access to the internet, and everyone can read the crap that is being said about him. Not good. I'm not crazy about my PM but I'm not gonna trash him...it just makes me look bad. After all I AM A PROUD CANADIAN!
-
Medigal: I think Beck and his conspiracy theories are the brunt of the jokes.... Not you. I actually thought the whole story was a joke but then again, I may be somewhat naive and have a hard time believing that anyone would take that stuff seriously. Not meant to offend you but the whole Beck and bunch are quite hysterical...IMO
Cheers
Beth -
Mary, come to think of it, Martians aren't that bad, really!
-
Blue: you may want to try a little tinfoil on your antennae for reception....used to work for me on the old TV
-
Good idea Pickle. Should I form it like rabbit ears or an aluminum cap....no, the cap would be for something else. hehehehe!
-
Medigal
Congratulations on your anniversary.
If the original poster would come back we would have serious questions for her. If she doed not take us seriously enough to participate in our discuusion, how can we take her seriously?
I always enjoy your posts and have great respect for your opinions.
-
Medigal, congrats on your 50th anniversary. My DH and I will be married 46 years come, yes, APRIL FOOLS DAY! That's an easy date to remember one's anniversary.

rosemary, you jump to conclusions. You are wrong.

Medigal - now I am dying to know where you went for your anniversary. The others are more polite than I but I can't resist. Where did you go that makes you say no one would think of going??
