Just wrote a long post replying to your questions, Shirley, but then deleted it. Why bother? We all have our opinions and, as has been proved over and over and over again, we'll never agree. Just leave it alone.

Hi Shirley: You wrote: I pop in and out and I don't delete posts. You may be surprised JUST WHO IS deleting posts.
Does that mean you actually know who the deleters are?
Barbara is absolutely right -- the key to any good discussion and friendship is Respect -- as in respect for differing opinions. Sure wish we had more of it around here.
-
Well, look who's stirring the pot now!
-
Yes, Medigal, the poster is me blessing everyone!!! And if you read the posts there, you will see and read that they all have been very kind to me. I don't think Melissa will ban me for doing that!!! God bless you, Medigal and I truly hope you have a great day. Kathy
-
We have heard from E, and from Lewing..
KK and EFF - we need proof of life, please....(even if you have grown a beard, just stand there with a newspaper with today's date).
-
Oh, one other thing, Medigal, here we go again, stirring up trouble, just because I say God bless you! Wow,. that is exactly what I mean and stated on the Deleters thread. God help us all, Kathy
-
Mellow1, you wrote:
ANN NYC - does your earlier post insinuate that you and others are going to "gang up" and people you THINK are deleting and get them all banned? It certainly sounds like itWhat does that make you ???
Wow! I wasn't insinuating anything of the kind! Sounds like some kind of "projection" of a guilty conscience. You joined in January and have exactly two comments, only on this thread. "What does that make you ???"
Edited to add a P.S.: My name, Ann, is not all caps in my member name. So when you use all caps, it seems like you're yelling at me. And I think it's weird to be yelled at and asked "What does that make you?" in the very first readable comment (given that you deleted your previous comment) I have ever seen from you.

Shirley,
I did not know that the other site was not to be mentioned as per Melissa. My apologies.
I actually came across the site by accident believe it or not. There was a post here a while ago and someone mentioned medigurt, well I guess I was truly naive because I thought it was another medical term that I was unfamiliar with so I googled "medigurt" and that breast cancer site is wwhere I was directed. I read some of the posts and discovered what medigurt means and it had nothing to do with medical terminogy. I was quite shocked at some comments and then realized that the some posters there are the same ones here. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
I spoke out and used some inappropriate foul language and i have never ranted on these boards in two years. But I guess if I was going to rant in would be for a good cause...to defend
Some
deletions...especially Elizabeth. Too bad my first official rant was deleted by the "community" today.
Whatever that means.
I am still somewhat clueless as to what goes on around here so I think I'll stick to the threads that play nice even when there is a difference of opinion.
Respectfully
Beth -
Pickle, I can't believe your post was deleted! This "post reporting" is just getting so OLD.
((((((((Beth)))))))))
-
Pickle141, you are not allowed to leave this thread!
-
We were asked not to discuss politics during an earlier round of deletions, now it's religion. Well we still have food and the weather but if you all start talking about knitting. I'll have to leave. Knitting may be fine for some people but it is just something I can not and will not do. I find knitting too stressful to discuss on a breast cancer support board. And I think my stand on knitting should be respected. If it comes down to it I may delete posts on knitting but I will have the integrity and intestinal fortitude to tell the person whose post I deleted why.
-
How about crocheting?
-
Rosemary,
I'm sorry you feel that way about knitting. I describe myself as a yarnoholic. It's my third religion, basketball being number 2. I still love y ou and respect you. Is it too early to ask about dinner??
Glad to see all have been reinstated. I really wish the deleters would just go somewhere and form their o wn little group and have one lovein after another (wait, they already have).
I have reported two posts, but those were about three years ago and obviously on another thread.
-
Rosemary, I've reported your post using my six accounts, so you will be banned for expressing your views on knitting. Those views tell me that you hate America and that you want the liberals to take over.
-
Dear Beth, respectfully saying , I think you might be stirring up the pot and in defense of Laura, she should be allowed to answer back, very mean things were said to her. Please read her posts on Illinois Ladies, she is the kindest person. I just wish this thread could be like the other ones on BCO. The hatred and negativity here is just making me crazy. I know, I know, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I have the day off today to help a neighbor, letting workers in. She had a horrible fire in her home. I can't stand the heat, it causes such damage.. God bless you all, Kathy
-
Dear Kathy:
Not to show you disrespect but if you don't like this thread why do you keep posting on it?
And honestly if this thread were like all the other ones would WE want to keep posting on it - answer is NO.
Sandy
-
Rosemary, I'm with you! No knitting, no crocheting, and no reality show talk on this thread. Athena, please take your 6 accounts and shove 'em!!!
-
Crocheting is fine..Sewing is better (my prejudice is out there for the world to see). Report me if you must. I had 7 teenagers. I can handle things much more irrational than this.
-
And please never mention Oprah, or I'll have to go medieval.
-
Is medieval sort of like postal?
-
Or Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray and anyone/anything her arrogant, stupid self has her mitts on.
-
Yes, postal....much better word. Just a warning!
-
I whole heartedly agree with the Oprah ban.
-
Do you mean I won't get to talk about embracing cancer? And how that will make me a more complete woman? Dang!
-
No Allison, you may not....or you and I are gonna have a throwdown!
Edited to add: you know I'm kidding right? Haven't figured out the emoticon business so you know when I am.
-
Kathy: I would like you to understand that I was not being serious about wanting Melissa to "get you" for "God Blessing" everyone. I was being sarcastic concerning her need to tell us we can't discuss religion here. You can "God Bless" me any time you want. I certainly need ALL the blessings I can get. Melissa telling us not to speak about religion because it is divisive is just as ridiculous IMO, as telling you, you can't say "God Bless you" to people. I know there are very kind Atheists in this group who may not appreciate being blessed due to their unbeliefs in our God but I have never read where one verbally abused you for saying it to them.
I just feel it is as much our right to speak about religion here as it is yours to Bless any one you feel inclined to. I was just trying to get a point across to Melissa as to how I felt about her comment on religion. We were learning so much from each other and referring to the Bible and certain parts of it we love. How divisive can that be? I think my posts about the tripe, fried brains I ate for breakfast, and pickled pigs feet could have been more inappropriate but Melissa did not seem to care about that. She wants us to be nice to each other. Well, I think we were! So if someone brings up religion in this thread, I intend on taking part in the discussion because religion is a part of my life and my soul. Note I did not say belonging to a church was since I am not a member of "any" church. I do not feel my journey with God entails being an institutional church member although I have no problem with those who do belong. Whatever turns your wheel.
So have a blessed day dear Kathy and may you be free to continue blessing the entire world! Just please remember to include me. God knows me by another name but Medigal will do.
-
Can I be the referee?
Good news, everyone -- Elizabeth is posting again. She finally got her "get out of jail free" card. Now, if that EVER happens again, there will indeed be severe repercussions. I guarantee it.
-
Well, if you are going to ban "O", I am going to vote for a ban on Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, and all Youtube videos!
-
Dear Sandy, no that is fine that you question me. I just truly want to be a positive influence on this board; get you all to see the positive things in life, keep you talking about food, history, info on breast cancer, tips on how to get through this, you know just be a thorn in all of your sides. (Just kidding). Doesn't all this bad stuff depress you?? Don't you just want to talk about happy stuff. I guess I am like this because I am around 5 and 6 year olds all day!!! except today. If you could be around them, you would be amazed on how they view life. I pray they never know what cancer is and does to your life. Like I said before, how did this thread get on BCO?? Oh, well, it is here and I am going to only say positive things when I am here. The Rules do say I am not breaking any rules by saying God bless you, Kathy
-
Well, Blue gets the final say about the rules on here. I'm sure she won't mind me talking about embracing my cancer. I'm not scared of her at all, but those Sicilian cousins of hers are something else!
