Daisy - go tell your friends it's time to fess up. You all have gone too far tonight.
-
Daisy, deleting the comments of a BC sister who is facing a new type of brain mets and WBR is neither Christian nor menschlich in my book...
EDIT: Alpal and Rosemary-b, you must have been influencing me telepathically as I was struggling to put the above into words!
-
I meant they were persons who may have been offended by some of the things EFF said.
I was not criticising KK and never would.
Eff is not a new person, she has been on several other threads
-
I agree Ann NYC
-
Did you report her posts?
-
Erica
How do you feel about the fact thatKonakat 's postings will be restricted? Not critcizing her is not the same as supporting her.
Elizabeth, if you even bother to read here anymore, you have my support and prayers and if I had a cake you could have that.
-
I ALREADY SAID NO, DID YOU ??
-
How about Eff's or Enjoyfuls's on Lewings's - did you report any of those?
-
Well that Italian mal'occhio will fall squarely on the guilty. It works every time.
-
Erica
What exactly in Eff's posts would upset a Chrisian AND break a bc.org rule? I didn't see anything.
-
I guess it could have been someone's invisible playmates.
-
The things Eff said were not offensive ... they were merely her experiences and her point of view.
What a fine display of American 'freedom of speech' and 'women's rights' this latest batch of censorship and deletions are.
Do you deleters have any clue of how foolish you look? If you cannot stand any opinions or perspectives other than your own and have no desire to maybe explore other viewpoints then please just stay away and let the rest of us have our discussions.
-
I still don't have answers to my questions Erica.
-
I guess Shokk might have a point!

8. Canada
Amount of U.S. debt: $134.6 billion
Share of total foreign debt: 3.1%
They say that a friend in need is a friend indeed, and our neighbor to the north has proven to be a kind and generous creditor in our time of financial need. Canada holds about 3.1% of our foreign debt, or $134.6 billion. If friend were to become enemy and Canada were looking to annex some U.S. land to cover the debt though, the country would have an easy time of it. The combined GDP of Maine ($51.3 billion), New Hampshire ($59.4 billion) and Vermont ($25.4 billion) comes close to Canada's debt holdings at $136.1 billion.
Residents of the three states in our extreme northeast corner should start practicing their French: They might become Québécois one of these days.
-
Why not just trade Texas to Canada in exchange for the debt .. and call it even.
-
Actually, Erica(?) might have a point (besides her very valid defense of 'possums). In the past, and not just on this thread, deletion storms have been triggered because someone took offense at a comment about religion, not politics. It is interesting to see who suddenly disappeared in the face of the storm. It's possible that it's not the "conservatives" this time, but a slightly different and likely overlapping group. I think we know who they are, too.
I kept count of the deletions and was going to post the body count but I decided not to encourage anyone to boost the numbers. It appears that Eff has hit her 5, though -- 4 on this thread, plus 1 over on the "Outraged by TSA" thread. The theme of her post over there was similar to the first one here, but a bit more, um, ... urgent. Intense, yes, but not a violation of Community Rules.
I haven't said anything here that's new or that any of us didn't already know. Now, please pass the duct tape.

Blue,
That's priceless! If I have to go off to a country holding our debt, Canada would be my first choice!!!
-
P.S.....I want my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more Mr. Nice Guy from me. Ever watch the Godfather?
-
Does someone think Erica deleted the posts or am I reading something that isn't there. I have to say, the ones I think did the deed aren't on this page (179)(or 180 took too long typing) posting right now.
-
WAIT! Why not Kentucky for one of the states? The trade would include health care for the citizens, wouldn't it?
-
Maybe we shold give Alaska to Canada?
-
LOL Cheryl........
-
Alaska can go but I think her citizens (at least those nameless ones )should go along with it.
edited to add: I don't think Erica did the deletions. Maybe I was having a brain fart.
-
Do we get the Palin with that deal..........NO THANKS! You betcha!
-
Sorry, but I am NOT moving to Canada. It's too darn cold, and I don't want to have to learn French. I'll learn Spanish before I'll learn French. Sorry if that sounds bigoted. It's not meant that way. It's just that I can't understand why a whole country would decide their official communications had to be in both languages, just to accomodate a small group of, ... well, ... extremists? <---(ignorant comment meant to be sort of funny but admittedly lacking in any grasp of the actual history involved)
I'm bad. But my excuse is that we're out of chocolate ice cream.

Darn Blue
I thought we had a solution to our problem...And you won't take her.
-
Well if you put a muzzle on her, we might!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good night all.......I really did a number on my shoulder today. I've been a bad girl!
-
Always for a good cause, Blue! 'Night!
-
I don't blame you Blue, Canada is a sane country. Why introduce outright insanity on that level. It's not fair to the country. Take IL instead. We're by and large, okay. A few Republican nuts, but we can loose them in transit!
