Meece, your hoya is gorgeous. I had a hoya for many years but mine never bloomed so prettily. Prayers for everyone and the Gray family.
-
I went out in the yard and cut a bouquet for all of you ladies here.
Gladiolas have been a favorite of mine for years.

-
Thank You Meece for the beautiful flowers.
Coffee in my hand Im enjoying it.

Meece. I have a 'funny' gladiola story.
My favorite flower (after daisies, of course) are iris.
Anyhow, my hubby's uncle came to visit us several years ago and wanted to bring me some flowers in appreciation. My hubby told him my favorites were glads.
So of course the uncle has brought me a bouquet of glads every ocassion for the past oodle of years. It took me forever to figure out that my hubby had inadvertantly told him the 'wrong' bouquet. So now on every visit I get your gladiolas.
LOL.
It's very considerate of him to do -- so neither of us has ever straightened him out. We just smile at each other as he lovely brandishes his glads. My hubby winks at me and I smile even bigger.
Who can argue with fresh flowers, after all?

We're headed north to the most gradiose lovely gardens for the rest of the summer. I will take pictures for our Garden Hymn lovers. Everything grows so much more easily up along the bay. We have ferns in the yard that reproduce if you look at them. LOL.
Your green house goodies are truly amazing.
I'll thump something on the behind whenever I wanna see potential come to fruition. LOL.

I thumped the Peruvian Iris again last weekend and sure enough, yesterday I noticed that the second bulb has sent a shoot up which should be blooming tomorrow, or maybe today as I work. We are heading out tomorrow to visit a gorgeous 37 acre garden near Santa Barbara. I will be sure and take pics. I will make DH take the spare camera so I can take all the pic I want.

Meece your garden must be amazing.Love the photos.

Good heaven above! Beautiful glads Meece! Ours don't bloom for another month or 2 & they always harbor earwigs (BIG YUCK-anyone ever want to freak me out just put an earwig on me!) so I always just keep them outside. Thank you for this big bouquet!
-
Beautiful glads! And you did a wonderful job arranging them! Mine aren't near ready to bloom yet and they seem to have reverted to just a couple of colors!
Still no bllom on my lily - but it hasn't been that long since I "thumped" it!
-
I plant my bulbs in late September, early October here. Last year I planted glads, and found out the whole bag of bulbs was one color. This year I added a variety mix, and as you can see I even got green ones! I love the salmon colored ones towards the center.
Thank you all for your compliments. The glads are in the front yard, the unique plants are either in my greenhouse or on the back porch. The rest of the back yard isn't landscaped and we have lots of dirt. My vegies are growing in multiple locations around the back. When we do landscape, I will have to corral the vegies, or make them look ornamental.
JO, I told DH the flower beds are mine, and please don't pull anything up. I have yet to cut back the post-bloom ranunculas. So now, DH calls me out and asks me if he can pull something, or if it isn't a weed.

I had some beautiful Iris's in my garden, I posted them on FB. I named one "Pink Ribbon"

I found a pretty picture of Lupines and Daisys.

Beautiful, Deb!

Both of these pics are gorgeous! Surely God's presence is in these places.(editted to add-dang! That sounds like bad grammar...what should it be?)
-
Those flowers were taken somewhere in the White Mountains New Hampshire
-
I am completely baffled about how to post pictures on BCO site., I have thoroughly enjoyed all of yours. Eph 3 12, I'm with you. I've always been amazed how anyone can miss God in His beauty He has created for us because he loves us.
-
Thanks JO, I found out about photobucket the day it started crashing people's pc's so I stayed away from it.

Hi All,
I haven't been on BCorg for a long time... not sure why not, but I am back and realize how much I enjoy this thread. It is so encouraging and reminds me of exactly who is in control! Thank you!
-
You are more than welcome.
I have noticed you had been gone. I hope all is well with you, kcl.

All set for a peaceful Canada Day.

-
I am so glad that Canada & the US are friends. Think of how miserable our lives would be if we were warring nations. I can't imagine living in a place where the people next door were "enemies". God bless all the nations of earth & may peace reign soon!
