I Come to the Garden...

No, he overslept and had to run to pick up one of our Navy guys. He told me later he hadn't had a chance to call you and he felt bad about it.
-
He sleeps very hard, it isn't easy to wake him. I asked if he needed a new alarm the last time he overslept. I wish he could get his sleep patetrns under control.
He is so excited to bring others to church. I love to see his enthusiasm.
-
Meece, I am so happy that I got to witness this miracle of your son & Grace, by the grace of our Lord. Gives me goose-bumps, big time.
-
I feel the same way Eph 3 12. I was just telling my husband about this wonderful relationship you guys have developed and your son. I call it providential. God knew all along.
-

I know this is not about a garden, but I felt that it was ok to post this here. Today is our son's birthday. He would be 31 years old, but today he spends his birthday in Heaven with the Lord. Happy Birthday, Eddie.
-
Oh, I do believe that this was the main reason God had DH find this website for me last September.
-
Grace & peace to you, Grace. Eddie's celebrating I'm sure.
-
happy birthday 2 your son today. i wonder what kind of party does the savior threw him today? and, prayers go out with some tears shed on ths end..i can't even imagine.. light and love..Gods grace overflowing...3jaysmom maybe u ladies can write the more unusual flowers name on bottom of pix?
-
Grace, I am sorry we posted at the same time and I never looked back. I understand the need for comfort on this special day. I have one of those days tucked in my heart as well. (((Hugs))) to Grace for your huge heart inwhich you made a place for my DS!
3jays, yes I think that will be a nice idea to post the flower names.
-
Happy Birthday Eddie. Dance with joy before the Lord on the day you were created.
-
Thank you all for your sweet comments! It does give me great peace to know that our son is safe in the arms of the Lord!!
Meece - I am so thankful that you all looked up the website and Matt started coming! One thing that we love about this ministry is that while we don't have our son, we can serve other people's children. We have grown to love Matt. I know the Lord had a greater purpose through all of this BC stuff.

Resting In The Arms Of Jesus
by Laura Lynn PetersenWeep not,Weep not,he is not dead.
He's resting in the arms of Jesus.
Heart broken mother, weep not, weep no more.
Grief stricken mother...weep no more.
He's only gone home,through heaven's pearly gates.
God looked down from heaven above, and His eye
fell on a little angel.
God's big heart touched with love, said,
Go down,go down, and find my little lamb.
And Jesus took his hand, and wiped away his tears.
And smoothed the furrows from his face.
And the angels sang a little song,
and Jesus took him in His arms.
Come rest He said, cry no more,
He is not dead,he only sleeps.
He's resting in the arms of Jesus.(Edited to change gender)

Beautiful Jo5!
Meece - well that made me cry! I loved it and the beautiful picture!
-
Yes, I was crying too & I'm at work. They were used to outbreak last summer during chemo, so I caught them off guard today!

Since I know Grace has already let one of the other threads know about the following, I am putting this out on this thread:
GraceOkinawa wrote:
Well, we have made the decision to go back to the States. Our daughter was hired to teach in Ohio. We will be settling in the Cleveland area. Our daughter leaves in July. My husband and I will follow on September 3. This has been such a difficult decision and we will miss our people very much. My husband announced it to them this evening at church. Just thought I would let everyone know.
Sisters, please pray from Grace and her family as they make this change in their lives. May God give them peace in their decision, and may they enjoy the blessings He has in store for them. I may have posted this here before, but here goes again.
Grace Greater than Our Sin
1. Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary's mount outpoured,
there where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.
Refrain:
Grace, grace, God's grace,
grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
grace, grace, God's grace,
grace that is greater than all our sin!2. Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
threaten the soul with infinite loss;
grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
points to the refuge, the mighty cross.
(Refrain)3. Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
brighter than snow you may be today.
(Refrain)4. Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see his face,
will you this moment his grace receive?
(Refrain) -
Sorry

Meece - That is one of my VERY favorite songs! I love to sing that!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the prayers and support.
Jo-We will actually be in Amherst.
-
I have an old hymnal that was from the church I grew up on. (Donated 1 year to the day before I was born) It brings back memories of standing between my parents and hearing them sing. Anyway, that hymn is in the hymnal, and it is one that must have been sung a lot because I remember it well.
-
My Salvia is looking good, I have two big plants. -
"It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine."
"The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die."
"If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?"
"So I'll trust in God for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to God for guidance
In each step of the way."
"The path that lies before me,
Only my Lord knows.
I'll trust God to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose." -
deborye - beautiful salvia, beautiful poem!! Sometimes so hard to live, but definitely Truth!!

HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW
Verse 1:
Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely
And long for Heav'n and home,
When Jesus is my portion?
My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.Refrain:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.Verse 2:
"Let not your heart be troubled,"
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth
But one step I may see:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.Verse 3:
Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him,
From care He sets me free:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He cares for me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He cares for me.
I took this picture yesterday. The nest is in a rosebush by my bedroom window. I can watch "the nursery" from inside.
-
Meeeeeeeece.
That is such an awesome photo. Captures spring in a heart beat.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
AWWWWW, sooo cute.
-
That photo and hymn is for GraceOkinawa. Ladies, we need to lift her up once more. She is almost through with chemo, but will be going in next Thursday for an US and possibly a bx on the "other side". She said I could share this with you, and I know the power of prayer and how amazing Our God is. Let's cover her with our prayers that His will be done.
-
Oh Meece, another one of my favorite songs! Could you send me that pic? I LOVE it!!! Thank you for your prayers.
-
I was able to save the pic from this site onto my computer! Lovely, miraculous, inspiring!!!
-
I am glad you were able to save it. The nest had five eggs, four blue with dots and one tan with dots. Two of the blue ones disappeared. I really think they might be from two birds. The baby is from the tan egg. He's so cute!
