Cheryl, I'm glad you did it too and I thought for AIM2 you send in teach the four required tacks -- not the whole release? Nats-Mary, hope your hubby is tootling along well and Ginger, that you are fully on the mend. Scottie, hang in there,do what you can within constraints of recovery and I find your photography/editing interesting. Thanks everyone, dh is fine really, his 3 stent placements on Friday was a longer time in treatment, but he sailed through it and no bleeding in the artery in his right hand afterwards. Enjoyed my time on the Pilates course in London this past weekend. Off in a bit to teach Pink Ribbon Pilates with new moves and cueing included in the lesson plan. Blockfit at 1pm and BB tonight.

Welcome Vargadoll.
A lovely warmish weekend here, melting all our snow - yay! Hubby and I went for a nice walk on the beach Saturday. Sadly the only exercise I have gotten this weekend. Yesterday was "spa day" to celebrate a friends 60th, only my second time at a spa, but really had a lot of fun. The spa is at a casino, so afterward one of the group just had to gamble, not so much fun waiting around while she did her thing - I'm just not much for that kind of thing. Plus we had a lovely decadent calorie laden lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, also some cocktails, so my body is rebelling a bit this morning - time for some fresh air exercise and clean eating.
-
LB maybe they do it differently here, I know it was his second filming sometimes his accent is hard to understand but his technique is flawless. Glad your DH is doing well after his procedure. Pat Spa day sounds wonderful to me glad you enjoyed it.
Off work today so did Grit Strength and LM BodyBarre this morning. It's still raining. -
Planning a workout a little later.
-
Gorgeous day yesterday, walked for an hour in record warmth and sunshine. A little cooler today with afternoon rain so got out at lunchtime to walk. Logging 7.4 miles for both days.
Ginger, hope the strep throat is a bit better after meds and rest.
-
I went to yoga this morning, zoomed over to school to sub for someone with a sick kid after that, and walked on the treadmill tonight. Today it rained, which is completely crazy for February in North Dakota. Tomorrow is supposed to be our last unusually warm day before we head back to winter, I will have to get outside.
I got 'the letter' & I did pass last week's mammogram, so I am officially at 10 years out...... whew, thank God and knock on wood. You all know how completely scary checkups are........I always feel like crying after them, even when they are good news. Mental games, for sure.
-
Saturday we ended up walking an hour at the lake. Everyone was out enjoying the springlike weekend. Sunday I went for two walks, a 20 minute one and a 35 minute one and I was trimming the hedge. I can barely walk this evening as my repeated squats have caught up with me.
-
Congrats Ruth!!! Major, major milestone. Work day for me today.
Hoping for a ski on Saturday and afterwards dinner with friends for a belated birthday celebration. - Claire

Cheryl: (((((Hug)))))
Ruth: congratulations! Happy Dance!
Badger: my nephew is getting married the same weekend as Merlefest so I won't get to see the Kruger Brothers. Friday night Dh and I went to see Leo Kotke and Keller Williams. They were fabulous!
Hi everyone. I walked/ran Thursday, Friday, and yesterday. It's been so warm that I've been sitting/reading and even napping outside.
-
Thank you Wonderland. Congratulations Ruth woohoooooooo
Tonight went to Cardio Dance Party, then went out to eat tacos
-
Congratulations, Ruth! Woo Hoo!!
Wonderland, IDK Keller Williams but love Leo Kottke.
It's been so warm here that the trees think it's spring. Sleep darling buds! It's back to 30 by Sat.
-
Congrats on the 10 year mark, Ruth! This warm weather is weird - we've had the windows open and even grilled out Sunday - in February!!! Ginger - hope you're on the mend now.
Thanks for all the good wishes for DH and Mikey. They both spent most of the weekend zoned out on pain meds, but yesterday was the "turn the corner" day for both of them, and each is doing much better. Just got back from dropping DH off at work - he wanted to go in for a few hours, but wasn't quite up to driving yet. I'm about to take Mikey for a walk, then I'll head out for a workout.
Not much exercise with taking care of my two patients, but I did get out from some walking each day, and slipped out for my strength training/flexibility class yesterday. We did lots of squats in class, including wall squats that she had us hold forever, so I feel your pain, Two!
-
Didn't get to the workout last night so I am rescheduling it for tonight
-
Mommyof2- keep your eyes on the workout and you'll get there. Tomorrow I have to come to CT to see my PS- he's in Greenwich. Near you?
Today I had a two mile date with the treadmill. Yay
-
Congrats to Ruth on your clear mammo and 10 years.
It seems a lot of us are enjoying our springlike weather. I got up and walked early this morning for 30 minutes. It was good I did because I didnt manage to have time the rest of the day.
Cheryl, thats me too. Exercise my fanny off and then go out for Mexican food! I just get so hungry.
-
I went way out of my comfort area today and subbed in 8th grade math (luckily the Algebra kids were working in groups and are really smart so could figure out things for themselves & the regular math kids were taking a test!). After school I took a long walk with a friend, her dog & the grand-dog & did a toning DVD tonight.
Glad that the DHs and the DP (dear pet, Mikey) are doing better!
-
Woke up at 2.30am and couldn't go back to sleep so I'm feeling really exhausted but did go to the gym did Sprint, Body Flow express and LM BodyBarr now I'm going to do what I do best - snooze on the couch before bed!!!!
-
Happy dancing for you and knocking on wood, Ruth!! (Does that sound like pound?)
Glad your patients are doing better, Mary.
Will be doing something with DD today hopefully but going ahead to the gym in case she sleeps in.
-
Falconer, I am not near Greenwich.
-
Off work today for a variety of appts: oil change for car, dental cleaning & DEXA scan for me.
Walked the Capitol square yesterday with a friend at lunchtime. Logged 3.8 miles for the day.
-
Thanks for all the good wishes. DH was able to drive to work today for the first time, so things seem to be going well.
Elliptical/bike/dreadmill run yesterday. I'm really inspired by many of my neighbors at our fitness center (I live in a 55+ community). I see people who have to be more than 80 dutifully walking on the treadmill or pedaling an exercise bike for a half an hour every day. They're not fast, but they're out there. They keep me going - I figure if they can do it, I can do it too.
-
Good morning ladies!
I am 2 weeks one day post surgery. I am walking 6+ miles a day. Back to my volunteering at Meals in Wheels today! So excited to see my clients. I have delivered their lunches for 10 years.
Have a beautiful day-
-
I bet your clients were thrilled to see you too, Varga!
-
Mommyof2- me either! Have a 90 minute car ride there this afternoon. But the whole staff including the PS has been wonderful so it's worth the trip. Unfortunately no exercise for me today- worked this morning and then took a half day for dr.
-
Vargadoll, glad you are getting back to your regular routine. That always makes one feel better!
A wet, heavy snow is coming down. Our walking group was indoors this morning (the ladies in the boas are our birthday girls). I am trying to decide between yoga & a basketball game tonight.
-
10 years Ruth = Woohoo!!!
Varga, you are amazing! Glad you are back in your routine. Careful with those meals on wheels coolers, they can be heavy!
I too am enjoying the beautiful weather. Last 3 days I've gotten at least 50 active minutes/day walking, twice in the neighborhood and yesterday at the beach. Still not working stretch into most of my mornings, but it will come. And in the near future I hope to add back in strength training and running intervals, but for now just focusing on 50 active minutes a day. Watching the scale too as the last couple of months I'm noticing a distinct creep upwards. Hubby does weight watchers - he is lifetime member and weighs in once a month, but doesn't think he will make weight this evening, so I guess we both need to watch our waistlines for a while.
-
IDK what the official number will be for the day, but the bank time & temp display and my dashboard gauge both said 72 (!) as I was coming into town from DEXA. Walked to mechanic and dentist this morning but had to drive for the scan this afternoon. Will have results when I see onc in March. (edit to add: logged 7.5 miles walked)
-
Question for those of you with bird feeders: when (if at all) do you take down the suet?
-
Congrats on 10 yrs and the mama Ruth!!!
At the gym feeding the Fitbits and pumped to get into even better shape again. In the 6 mos. since I went Gluten-free and anti-inflammatory diet, my cholesterol has dropped from borderline (runs in the family) to well within normal range. What I'm doing must be working.
Scottie
-
Well done on 10 healthy years Ruth! I'd say that diet is working really well Scottie. Cheryl, checked regarding the filming, in the UK, you can send entire class or 4 tracks that are used in AIM2, it depends on flow and what it is and up to the instructor. LM vinyasa flow just came out On Demand and sure wish it would come here live to teach. Been busy with finishing Pilates 34 exercises worksheets, housework, need to get to the store for what to make for dinner. Gray, rainy, very windy morning and BB 75 tonight.
