Cheyrl, I'm so sorry for your loss and for all that has happened. You did so much for Rooney, which also shows what a great friend he was to you. Sending hugs over the ocean and continent.  Lilac, glad to hear DH is doing OK. Scottie, ugh on more surgery. Gently, nice to get support putting on your walking shoes. It is rainy here so still undecided whether to go to the gym or walk outside in the rain. OK, my lungs would probably love the moisture so outside wins today.

((Cheryl)) I am so sorry to hear about Rooney. That dog was well-loved and I know you're heartbroken.

Busy day yesterday, went from one meeting to another with 20 mins in between so no time for a noon walk. Half of us brought our lunches to meeting #2. Had supper with mom and MIL and got home late. Another concert tonight at Stoughton Opera House. This time it's bluegrass with the Kruger Brothers. Will get out at noon today as supposed to be in the '50s. Close to 60 this weekend.

Cheryl, I'm so sorry to read of the loss of Rooney and terrible week that you had to contend with. You did everything right by your sweetie and gave more years than expected with your love, care and devotion. Gentle hugs to you wonderful woman. HeidiHill, dh had 3 more stents placed this morning (left side), I'm back home catching up on housework/laundry and back to fetch him by 6pm. Off on my Pilates course in London early tomorrow morning and staying with a friend in London for Saturday night. Have a active and healthy weekend everyone!

Oh Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear about your Rooney. Sending you gentle hugs. It's so hard to lose a pet.

Karen, 75! Looking forward to that temperature again. Rumor has it we might get up to 50 this weekend, here's hoping.

Comedy fundraiser last night was great - it's a group called funny for funds, they have been around a couple of years now and it's a refreshing relaxed fundraising opportunity. We won dinner for 2 at a nice restaurant from the silent auction too.

This weekend we are celebrating a friends 60th with a spa day, massage facial and pedi. So looking forward to this.

Off to the philharmonic tonight with a couple of friends - might be able to squeeze in a neighborhood walk.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!

Cheryl - oh I am so sorry! Please don't even think that it's your fault - our pups are independent little critters and do what they want - it was just a horrible coincidence of events. I know how much you loved him and what a great life he had, and he knew he was loved right up till the very end.

DH had arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday to repair torn cartilage, so my exercise yesterday was pacing up and down the waiting room. He's come through it well, and is currently sacked out in the recliner, zoning on pain meds. We've all been there, done that! Mikey is at the vets getting his teeth cleaned - with his heart issues his regular vet couldn't do it because he's an anesthesia risk, and he really needed it, so we had to take him to a veterinary oral surgeon specialist - $$$$$$. But what can you do?

Nat, wishing your DH a speedy recovery.

Cheryl, I'm so sorry about your fur baby.

Relaxing day today. Cleaned the house, and baked 2 batches of cookies. DH and I are invited out for Shabbat dinner so not much cooking to, well other than making chicken wings and mashed potatoes for my son, so really no cooking.

Went to see Mom this afternoon, but some days it is so hard for me and today was one of them. I feel bad when I only stay for an hour or so.

    Have a good weekend

I am so sorry Cheryl. ((((Hugs))))

Finally went back to the gym today. It is depressing how long a little shoveling can set you back. Did 10 minutes on the elyptical, 10 minutes on the bike and about 15 minutes of exercising. Glad to get back to the swing of things.

I need to get moving! I had surgery on February 7th and I have gradually increased my "steps" since surgery. Day after surgery I managed to get over 5,000 steps walking around inside the house. Day 2 post-op 8,000+steps and have been 15,000-20,000+ steps since. How soon before I can zumba or other activity?

Before BC I was a zumba girl! Got as many classes possible (5 grandchildren and one more on the way plus adult child at home who is multiply handicapped) I am always busy!

Welcome, Varga. I LOVE Zumba!!! If everything is healing good & you don't have drains or anything, I would say go back whenever you want to; just take it easy with the arm movements at first (but check with your doctor if you aren't sure, of course). You could also go to Utube & find a zumba selection & do it at home, just to see how it goes, before you go back to class.

I am soon off to a Saturday morning Yoga class & since we are having a nice break in the weather, I will probably dog-nap the grandpuppy again for an outdoor walk this afternoon.

Well, I tested positive for strep so DD went off to Zumba without me. So mad that this is how I am spending my 3 day weekend.

My favorite zumba instructor taught her last class on Dec 19th. I had my biopsy on December 20th and got my BC diagnosis on December 23rd. I tried a few other zumba classes after Christmas but my mind was racing 1,0000 miles a mintue and never could get into the class. I did download several zumba routines to my tablet :o). There were a few songs that I just loved to zumba to and I had to find them! I had a drain for 3 days. On day 4 I called because I was only getting 7mil or less out of it in a 24 hour time frame so I have been drain free a week and one day. I got to the BS on Monday so I have to have part 2 of the journey planned.

    Just keep moving!

Oh no, Cheryl. I am just reading about Rooney. It is so hard to loose our furry friends who stand by us through thick and thin. I know how you feel.

Unusually warm weather here so I am waiting for DH to go for a walk.

hi all and welcome Vargadoll. Sending good thoughts to you and yr DHs LB and Nats.

Concert last night was great. Kruger Brothers, they've obviously played together forever and still have fun doing it. Wonderland, they're regulars at MerleFest so check them out if you go this year.

Absolutely gorgeous day. Did a few errands where needed car but did the rest on foot. Logging 5.2 miles.

    * Gosh, Cheryl, I hope you are okay with all the terrible weather out there!

30 minute workout done. Didn't think I was going to get through it because recently I added some funny songs to my music player and two of these songs came on halfway through my workout and I was laughing so hard I was crying and my sides were hurting. Some how I pulled myself together and finished

Varga, great walking so soon after surgery. I'm a walker, don't enjoy any other type of exercise. My goal is 15K steps/day..most days I make it and on days off I can get more steps. I so love walking outside...I find it therapeutic.

Welcome to all the new gals.

Ginger sorry about the strep throat...feel better soon.

Got a lot to pack in a short day tomorrow...We have a wedding at 5pm...I need to do laundry, get a few things at the store, go see Mom and pack...I have a 9 something flight Monday morning to San Antonio. I am going to the NASP national convention. I get home Friday afternoon. Its at the convention center by the river front. Sharing a hotel room. On the website there was a place to look for roommates...made it affordable to go sharing a room...one said looking for mature, middle age woman to share room....Well I fit the bill. The gal is from Florida and we will meet on Monday afternoon. I get in around 1pm on Monday so will have time to explore the area. Keep thinking that I'm going to forget to do something tomorrow...I've started a list...The weather will be in the 70's and 80's but I wonder about the air conditioning in the convention center..

    Sweet dreams!

Have fun, Karen! Enjoy the Riverwalk (take a water taxi tour of it), go to the Alamo (in the mall there a great History of Texas Museum and a really good movie re-enactment of the battle, if you have time take the Hop On/Off bus tour so that you can get out to the Missions. AND, of course, eat lots of the yummy food!!!

We have a couple more days of nice weather ahead so I am going to walk outside again & I get in 30 minutes of some kind of toning. Happy Sunday!

AND of course have a margarita or one of the yummy local beers. I also recommend the Briscoe Western Art Museum. It's on the Riverwalk and admission is free on Tuesdays from 4 to 9. San Antonio was a fun place to visit! Edit to add: Highly recommend a trip to Market Square for shopping and a stop at Mi Tierra Restaurant and Bakery.

Another great day with record highs here. Planning a nice long walk.

Cheryl so sorry about Rooney. Take care.

This has not been a good week for exercise for me, unless you count photographing two events and spending several computer hours editing. I really need to do the surgery in April but it won't be until early July due to work. Meanwhile, I need to get out and hike/treadmill this week and going forward. I need to rebuild my stamia.

    Thanks for inspiring me ladies.

Sending healing thoughts and good wishes to Nats and LBs DHs. Ginger sorry about your Strep hope you are on the mend. Karen you will love San Antonio and yes Mi Tierra had fabulous food and is open 24 hours and really SA is small and great for walking and it doesn't take long to get the lay of the land. Varga I just hate it when we lose a favourite instructor but yes just keep moving it's the best thing you can do for yourself. Falconer sledding with a little sounds like a lot of fun and makes for lots of happy memories. Ruth our weather has been absolutely insane, I was supposed to go up to LA for dinner on Friday night and my friend and I were texting back and forth about if we should go and finally we decided against it and boy am I glad we did, the rain was torrential but the wind was something else I thought the roof was coming off the house and our streets are now all cracked, we had another storm this morning and now the sun is shining.

Yesterday I did a Body Combat AIM2 filming. I was tricked by my young Vietnamese friend as I had seen the new release at the Super Q and decidided I would sit out this release as it is insane 7 fast half push ups followed by mountain climbers then back to push ups, then burpees well I get there and he announces he is filming the new release and darn if I didn't do it, now I have no excuse - sure I did modifications but I am proud of myself for actually doing it. Then today did Body Step.
