Uh, Linda, I'm 51, my tongue has been rubbing on my teeth for about 50 years. That sounds like a silly diagnosis to me! There has been recent info about dentists finding disease before it shows up anywhere else.... Good for the doc to even look! Please keep us posted.
-
I agree Barb, but he also has had tons of dental work. His father never took him to the dentist as a chid. The first time he saw one, he was 13. He has had nothing but problems ever since. I will keep you posted.

Good morning bunnies!! Just read a little to catch up. Still on vacation and having a wonderful time. The weather is sooooooooo PERFECT!!! I'm telling ya, if I didn't have obligations at home, I could move here TODAY!!
Oh Linda!!! I'm so glad your mammo was good, but so sorry to hear about DH. That has got to be so painful. Surely, everything will be ok. Do people have cancer of the tongue sometimes? I've never heard of it.
I told Sharon this, but we went to the Crystal Cathedral here in CA the other day. It's such a beautiful place. Anyway, I went in the prayer chapel and said a prayer for all my sistahs.......especially those going through a hard time right now.
KAKie wak it's so good to hear about your good results. I hate the grief those mammos cause, but they're an evil necessity if you have your girls. Soooooooo thankful though that yours came back ok. Safe for another year and another year and another year, etc........ YOU GO GIRL. Oh hey, I read your blog too. I don't even read books anymore. Between your blog and Faithie's, I've got plenty to read.....hehe LOL. You both write so good!! I'm amazed at the talent on these boards.
Arnie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anymore fainting? I sure hope not! How many more treatments? I saw your hair pic and it looks great. Doesn't it feel good to have some growing back?
MaryRose, I've been thinking about you too. How many treatments left for you? I'm so glad you ladies are getting near the end. Yahooooooooo! There is LIFE after chemo!
Kathleen........hope you're feeling better gf. You need to take it easy with everything. Sounds like you're free from housework forever
BKC!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe what happened. At least your back up plan is working. Tell Porshalin and Felicity and Cameo and........is it Mutt?.....I said hello. Would love to see pics of their rooms when they're done.
Faithie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mother of the bride dress!!! I think one of those balloon dresses would be PERFECT. Sure would make for a memorable occasion:)
Jane......you ok? How did things go this week?
Jayne......are YOU ok? Thinking about you. Hope treatment is still going good.
Shiny girl!!!!!!!!!!!! So sorry for everything you're going through. Wish there was something we could do to help. It'll work out though. You're tenacious enough to MAKE it work
Sending you lots of hugs, prayers and good vibes for good results!!!
Jaimieh....so sorry for the treatment from MIL. Maybe she will have some restless nights and think about her ways
Shoutout to everybody else----Sharon, Nancy, EWB, Barbe, MOM (missing you), Lori, Mum, Cheryl, Lucy. Ohhhhh I shouldn't have started naming names. I know I've missed SOMEBODY! Didn't mean to........big hugs to ALL my bunny friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all have a wondermous Friday!!!
-
Welcome to our newest Bunny.
JGrim.....hope you make yourself right at home here where we try our best to stay AWAY from housework!! LOL
-
I double that welcome, but it sure is hard on the eyes. In case this is the top of page 273 here is a picture or two to make you welcome too.....
I am finishing projects. My skirts are all done. Just about finished my "gown". My daughters skirt is almost finished. My other daughters outfit just started. Phew my fingers hurt thinking abouit it all.
I am still the laundress in the family. Cant just let the kidlet do it. Husband feels I should HELP her. Which means I do the majority of the work anyways. She gets out of having to do dishes because of this. I think she should do the whole thing. Then I could go out shopping with my friend.
-
(((((((((((((((Dream))))))))))))))) I haven't seen you in awhile! I hope you're doing good. Sounds like you're staying way too busy....hehe LOL.
You're right.........that thing DOES hurt my eyes too
-
Coonie where in the world do you find those neon signs? quite cool. Yes ladies i need a standing ovation.Cleaned the whole house today including the cats litter. Not a pleasant day but necesary. Now i can relax all weekend.Time to have some fun.
Linda that tonge issue sounds awful. Keep him supplied with icy cold drinks all weekend. Sounds like a great idea for all of us dust bunnies.
-
After all that housework this is what I am up to tomorrow.
The pool ladies not the beer.
-
Thanks for the welcome... one of my favorite cool beverages these days (especially when I'm feeling pooped) is to mix one of those crystal light strawberry packets (the ones with caffeine) in an orange juice... kind of turns out like an Orange Julius. With caffeine. Did I mention the caffeine? Another one for when I want a hot beverage (although this isn't the weather for it) is to brew a chai with Red Bull instead of milk. I know this sounds foul, but it actually turns out like a hot spiced cider. I bet you could make an iced version of this...
-
I drink coffee, water and pop. Thats it. Sometimes I will have a Summerberry tea.
-
Lately I have been brewing green tea or chinese tea leaves then chilling it on ice.Its very refreshing no need to add sweetener or any thing to it.It is great on a hot day but watch in the evening since it does have caffeine.
-
From phone;
Big hugs bunnies. BIG hugs.
Sending love to all. -
Dream - I am with you - coffee, coffee, coffee and water - rarely pop. I know herbal tea is much better for me but it doesn't have the same kick as coffee.
Coonie - good to hear from you - I was facing withdrawal not hearing from you but I am so glad you are having a good time - you deserve it!
Linda - I worked with a man who had cancer on his tongue and the tumor was attached to his jaw. They did radiation to shrink it (it detached from his tongue the night before surgery), surgery to remove it and chemo to mop up. They said he wouldn't live longer than 5 years. He lived another 20 years and died of a stroke. He attributes it to his heavy involvement with his medical issues, learning everything he could about his rare form of cancer and possible treatments.
Welcome JGrim!

YAY, Jane!!!!
Hi, everyone! Had a great fun day today, having lunch with GF's, shoe shopping, playing with a bunch of beads I bought in the hospital lobby the other day after my mamm -- 3 of sat around designing ourselves some beaded jewelry!! Now we have to have a night to put it together. Got some kick-butt high heels today which I bought specifically for a photo shoot I'm scheming and planning for. Have to get archery equipment now as props (yes, this will be for the Accidental Amazon). You should see these heels -- lethal weapons! I'll try to post a photo soon.
Linda, your poor DH! Barbe, LOL!! I didn't know tongue tissue could grow back like that! Glad to hear it for Linda's & her DH's sake!
Hollyann, when you speak to Spar next, tell her we love her & I'm glad I get to see her on Facebook.
Coonie, you are so sweet to post while you're on vacation! Glad you're having a good time.
Hugs to everyone.

Good Morning all, least i Hope today will be a good one...let's see..I went to the ER this past week..started having sharp pains in my chest, then got woozy, then my lips started tingling...called onc and asked ,could this be a SE of the arimidex? OH NO, this is not cancer related...went to er, they told me I had an inflamed chest wall from coughing from the pneuminitis......next morning I check online about SE's of Armidex, sure enough, 8-11% of patients will have symptoms of a heart attack.......GRRRRRRRR!
Went to doc yesterday, had a list, told him I wanted fixed what the onc's screwed up...first off thought i had thrush mouth, turns out he says it's "geographical tongue"? Says is caused by body getting weak, people with serious illnesses usually get it.........then showed him rash on my face, said it can't be acne, it itches...he says it's from stress, was supposed to call mein antibiotic for it, he didn't........showed him hands how badly they shake, he did nothing for that, then tells me that my problem with my lungs is that I can't get enough sleep due to coughing all nite and my body can't get enough strong enough to heal, so what's he give me? Singulair for asthma and allergies so i can sleep at nite? GRRRRR I hate docs, has the nerve to tell me that in 4-6 weeks this will probably be gone, I have no patience....
Other then that have had kids over alot, ones A/C broke, they were hot, the other wanted me to do her hair...does anyone else feel loved for having a running car and your abilities? LOL
Have a great weekend Ladies, today I am going to other daughters to try to fix her computer!
-
Hey, Honey Bunnies! When I got home last evening around 6pm from my fun outing, I promptly fell asleep for 4 hours, woke up, had a snack, let the dog out & took my meds. Then went back to sleep (this was around 10:30) & didn't wake up till about 8am this morning, looked at the clock, thought, "Awesome! I'll get up in a few minutes." Then fell back asleep & didn't wake up till 10am. This is what I've been dealing with. I crank myself up so I can go to work & maybe get out & do a few fun or necessary things (like grocery shopping), and then when I have some clear time when it would be useful to, say, do some laundry, I collapse. I think the fatigue is trying to spare me from ever doing any housework ever again!! The fatigue is like a liquid that will fill up any available space it can find & put me in a temporary coma. Lordy.
However, I'm DETERMINED that today I'm going to tidy up my art studio at least a little so I can work on the Amazon T-shirts more easily. Maybe if the fatigue (I'm starting to talk about it like it's a separate entity that has possession of me!!) thinks I'm just going to have fun, it will leave me alone this afternoon!!
Love you all.
Linda, when do you hear about DH's biopsy?
Keep cool, everyone!
-
Deb, can you fix my computer? I had to get a new hard drive and the new one doesn't do what the old one did quite easily!!!!!!!!!! ARGH
Can't even post pix of my son's wedding here.
As for the "geographical" tongue. I had that years ago but it does fill in again and look like a normal tongue. I know Linda's DH is going through some tongue crap and I was able to assure Linda that it will end up looking normal cause tongues re-grow, kind of like a lizards tail..
-
LOL Sure Barb will be up soon as i fix the daughters...my tongue doesn't look strange except it has a very thick white coating on it...which is why my brain said thrush mouth. But he says since there is nothing anywhere else, on my mouth or on the sides or bottoms of the tongue, that it's not...it's gross....
-
To Jane M:
Isnt that the cutest thing?
I did all my housecleaning and shopping yesterday. Paying for it today with sore shoulder (good arm, not le arm). Have nothing to do today. Have to leave the dust bunnies cause the housekeeper comes on Wednesday. She makes my bed really pretty.
Yesterday I did my chores and Daves. Why you might ask did manly man not scoop the kitty litter. It wasnt that bad in his estimation. However the male cat was pawing the wall around the box. The female cat splatted on the bathroom rug. Good for her. But I had to clean that and the box. These are not overly fussy cats.
I did dishes, shined my sink. Did laundry with dear daughter and made her do the majority of the bending and lifting. I folded though. I also took out the garbage, sorting the recycles and taking them down to the recycle room.
So today, I sit in pain. Im about to break out the breakthrough stuff. But that will make me dopey and I cant stay on line.
-
"Wasn't that bad"? There are times (very, very rare times) when I don't clean the litterbox as often as I should, and -only- during those times one or two of the cats might go somewhere else. I never reprimand them for this and the reason is... even one pile of poop on my bathroom floor would probably keep me from going in there barefoot.
-
Happy Danicing with Jane and NED!!!!....I just love NED!....He's the greatest!.........
-
I wish he would step in it once!
-

This is what I was up to this afternoon.
-
