Ok.......I wasn't laughing at your post Faithie (about Saint). By the time I got this crazy laughing cat up here for KAK, you had already posted:) But I am happy to hear Saint is hanging in there!!!

xxxx hug hug hug hug hug
lotsa loving cheering on vibes coming your way all you Bunnies..
I don't know if I can even still call "meself" a bunny too but I want too!
I have just tryed to do a super quick catch up.. It's midnight here, just been working on the ..yep.. SEN tribunal Upper tier thing.. got the pro bonno lawyer for parents of Special needs kids back from vacation so we are going to be working out this initial application this week. DH working away for 3/4 days per week right now, kids lovely, but I don't have the stamina..
Doing my best, I will "report" faith.. sooner then later but feel like a bit of a broken record on the SEN Tribunal stuff. I still got fight in me, and will keep going for justice, and ultimately seeing to my kiddy wink's needs but boy it is a battle and it takes it out of you especially with ongoing chemo brain.
Mak thinking of you lots, KAK so sorry to hear you are struggling so, or are you better, from what I got you've been through it!xx
I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I think you are DIVINE ladies, and I miss your companionship these days, boy wish I was closer, sigh. I am just snowed with this stuff (above) right now and behind because of it for DH's start at his Junior school, just playing catch up, but still quite the LEMONETTE. But I love you gals. You are the bestestestestest!
xx mega hugs and brilliant Tuesday Wednesday Thursday vibes to all of you, will be sending my Peachy peachy vibes your way and be back on in a wee little while.
Arnie, Coonie, sorry I've been such a bad correspondant lately..
Barbe, hope you are well.. yes am going to bed right now, promise!
thinking of you all,
Shiny did I mention huggggggggggggsssss to all?
-
Shiny, So good to hear from you! Bestof luck with the lawyer and your case!! It must be exhausting!
-
Mum, LOL on the cake!!
Coonie, I may be tired, but I can still laugh!
Shiny, you are an inspiration. You go, lady. I'm sending you all my inner feistyness!!!
Faithie, You're Welcome!! And how exciting about getting a new computer! I want all the stats. I'm just geeky enough to understand most of them.
And congrats to the Anniversary Couples!! The only thing I've kept going that long is a houseplant -- I'm serious! I have a Ming Aralia that's 31 years old!!
I still feel like crap, I'm sorry to say. I see my surgeon this week, Friday. I'm hoping to talk to her office to get some labs ordered before I see her. One of my friends is going to help me out on Friday if I need her to. I actually feel worse, which I didn't think was possible. I had thought maybe I was feeling better, then I filled out this fatigue symptom inventory I did 4 weeks ago, and this one came out worse than the first one!! It's actually a whole thing you can take to your docs to help them assess your fatigue. Then you might have to jump up & down (metaphorically speaking) to get them to give you Provigil to treat it. This really is awful. If I don't see an improvement soon, I'm going to have to look into a way to afford not to work full-time, because I can't keep going on this way. Wish me luck.

Good Morning Ladies,
I have really been out of the loop.B-days Anniversary, vacation etc. No house keeping I hope.
I am officially on foot rest so no major work for me. Did get the girls rooms set up and what happens Felicity sneaks into Porshalins bed every night! But they do keep all of thier stuff in the rooms now.And will go to thier rooms when they need down time.
School started yesterday. Porshalin did fine only 197 kids in the whole school but Felicity is at a brand new school(as in just built) 640 kids and they don't quite have traffic and routines down yet. Many angry parents and very negitive comments accidents etc. I was shocked at these parents language and general bad behavior towards teachers and school staff and other parents and children. The police had to be called to direct traffic calm bad tempered parents and restore order. Felicity said her school is to "DANGEROUS" and she doesn't want to go there anymore.
Thank God for the staff and teachers who handled this situation with grace and calm heads. I take my hats off to these people cause they sure coulodn't pay me enough to do it!!!!! No wonder public school has such a bad rep. It's not the teachers it's the Parents who need to grow up and set a better example for thier kids!!!!!
Ok rant over. Saw the Dr. yesterday and he said my foot looks very good. Not permanent damage and stitches can come out Thursday. But will have to wear my pretty blue boot for a while longer. He had a good laugh over details of my uhhhhhmmmm accident. As has everyone. OK so I can laugh about it to. I am really not a Klutz and am usually not accident prone but when i do it I sure tend to make it interesting. Gotta get to work so will check in with you girls when i have time.
(((((((HUGS)))))) to those who need it. -
Morning ladies...have not read the post gazillion posts to catch up (will do that later) but wanted to jump back in and say hi to all, happy birthday, happy anniversary, congrats on the good news and gentle hugs for any one recovering or feeling poorly.
Off to take dd to do more colleg shopping...she was away all summer, came home late Saturday and leaves this Saturday for move in. We are getting quite accomplished at the quick turn around with her. Ds doesn't leave for another 2 1/2 wks, although he is entering his last yr and its just a matter of packing up what he has -- much was never UNPACKED so that saves time.
Hoping for the weather t settle in-- it has been recking havic on joints/bone and muscles sleep is so off because of it....I donwanna do this any more
Hugs to everyone.
-
bkc what a horrible way for Felicity to start school. You would think parent should know better and set better example for their own kids.
EWB don't you hate it when they leave for college or university, my oldest son is leaving for 2nd year university next week. It is soo hard when they leave for school.
Makraz how is DH doing hope he is feeling better soon
KAK felling any better yet?
And I guess I should have said happy aniversary to Coonie and DH and Deb and DH. After I hit post and read it I thought that it lookked weird but I figured everyone knew what I had meant. OOPS. Well a little rumour can be fun to play with. Whats a little fun between friends right??
Well my day SUCKED yesterday!!!! Had to get a X-ray of my left hand to find out what is causing the pain I am having. And I needed to get my wedding ring off. Well after all this weight gain from treatment then femara and I think water retention, it would not come off. My DH and I tried soap and cold water he pulled and pulled got it halfway off (while I was gritting my teeth in pain) it got suck and would go no farther had to push it back on. Now my finger is swelling I can feel the pressure under the ring I now have no choice went to the jeweller and got it cut off
. Now my ring is a mess but they did tell me they could fix it brand new again. So my DH has given me his band to wear I at least have a ring to wear. So sweet of him trying to make me feel better.
Hugs to all thoise who need it there is way too many in this group to remember.
Everyone have a happy Tuesday
Lori
-
Lori, sorry to hear about your ring. Try soaking your hand in cold water, then a little olive oil, and hopefully it will come off!
-
Lori.......... so sorry to hear about your finger & ring.... glad they can put the ring back together.
Also glad to hear that you are healing, bkc. Careful, careful.
Elaine...... how fleeting the time is with your daughter. We are down to that sort of interaction, always feels like ships passing in the night. A few days here & there and off everyone heads to their own lives again.
I got to take another yoga class today from this master-teacher who is so amazing & inspirational. I just marvel. I need to find a class when I get home -- she has truly inspired me.
Where is everyone today?
With all the birthdays & anniversaries of late, certainly no one is considering cleaning.
Have a great day, bunnies!!
xx00xx00xx
-
Lori, sorry about your ring (also the need to take it off) and what a wonderful DH.
-

Lori, I don't know how I missed the part about the ring being cut off. So sorry! I hope the jeweler is able to make it perfect again. You have gret husband!!
-
Hi Bunnies
Congratulations to Deb and DH, Coonie and DH on the anniversaries.
Lucy prayers for your niece that it turns out to be b9.
Shiny sorry you still have all the tribunal stuff to deal with. Hoping it is soon resolved.
Nick and I are off to Wales again tomorrow for a few days, taking advantage of me feeling better before my next chemo.
Hugs to all you dust bunnies. No housework for anyone while I am away.
-
I hate to break it to you guys, but I actually had to do some housework. Since the fox has an ear infection I had to clean the whole apartment (foxes like to rub their ears on stuff and can get everywhere). While I was at it I decided to finally figure out which clothes still fit me (it's amazing, but going through menopause and giving up stripping can cause weight gain... go figure) and trying on everything you own and finding out 80% of it doesn't fit is not fun. And I did it all on no painkillers because I ran out of money, heh.
-
Hey ladies,
Day 2 of school was apparently wonderful for Felicity! She got to ride the bus this morning and after the initial separation crying and clinging did very well. I picked her up from extended day and she was playing basketball in the gym with the big kids. She now plans to be the bestest basketball player in school!!! Practice practice practice makes perfect she said.
Porshalin loves the new social life. What? She is so prissy hope this wears off soon. She didn't even know what a "social life" was 2 days ago.
Anyway off to give baths and bed time stories.
-
JGrim, you have a pet fox?????? OMG, I Love Foxes! My dog is named Foxy even! We want pictures. And the story of how you ended up with one.
Linda, when do you find out about DH's biopsy?
Lori, lordy, girl. You can't make this stuff up, can you??
-
Hi all,
Have been around "listening" to you for a week or so.
Just wanted to share with a good experience I had yesterday.
A friend I haven't seen much lately as she is helping her sister who also has bc dropped into my work with a big bunch of flowers to celebrate my 6 months survival.
Sometimes it easy to think that you have been left behind but then the world shows you the friends you have.
So I want to say Thank You to all my friends here that help me everyday
Big hugs
Viv
-
Vivvy, So nice to hear a happy story! Congrats to you!
-
Hrm, the fox. If you go to my site (CancerVacation.com) and click on "about the author", one of the links will be "tour" and you can tour the apartment or (and this would be where the fox is) tour the pets. Also, if you click on "journal" the only entry there at the moment is a piece on what she's like and how I got her. Both sections have pictures.
The short version: foxes are stinky and bity and loud and would be extinct if they weren't cute. Like boys.
-
Jgrim, you give me goosebumps! I was just reading in bed wishing I had photos of my surgery when I got up and came to this thread and then checked out your website! Your photos are amazing! Who took the ones inside the operating room? How are your scars now? Did you get a seroma or any lymphedema? Your incicions looked beautifully clean....sigh. When is the next installment?
-
Nurses have taken all of the operating room photos on my site. For the mastectomy it was the circulating nurse and for the port it was whichever nurse wasn't doing anything when I said, "OMG, you have to get a picture of this!", heh. I didn't (knock on wood) have any swelling or anything with healing. The scars look pretty light / clean to me, although the inside is pretty thick and makes kind of a fold if I lean forward. Any day now there should be new photos of my hysterectomy (not as complete as the others - I couldn't get them to believe it was okay to photograph my hoo-ha) and how the reconstruction is going (I have implants now but no nipples yet). There will be more journal entries explaining everything, too. I just wanted to get some more art done first because I think there's a remote possibility that someone might pay for that at some point, and I'd like to eat something that isn't ramen. *grin*
-
You have a hoo-ha? I have a woo-who!
-
I'm so tired, I don't think mine will ever woo-who again, heh. In fact, a friend showed me some really cute pants the other day that were all spider-webby and lacey (I'm kind of gothy) and I said no thanks... I have enough cobwebs between my legs as it is.
-
Quick post: I'm at the breast surgeons office. I think they're doing a mammo today.
-
Oh no! Sore swollen lymph nodes on mast. Side! Scheduling ultrasound today! Probably nothing, right?
-
Oh Cheryl..... I'll stay right there in your pocket, till they sort thru all that's going on.
Big hugs being sent forth!!!!
xx00xx00xx00xx
Remember to breathe deeply.
****And Vivvy my girl-of-tomorrow**** I've been guilty of not getting you on my feeble attempts to greet numerous bunnies. Please forgive me. Don't know how you slipped thru my swiss cheese filter. I'm so glad to hear that you had some support outta the blue. That's such a lovely tribute.
Put your nose in here with just a dustmop or a wave or something, so my scattered efforts are more productive.
Everytime I do something like this, I tell myself again, don't make lists of people -- it's just all too easy to leave folks out unintentionally.
So hugs to beds bunnies everywhere, under the beds, in kitchen cupboards or where ever you may lurk!!
Love and encouragement to all.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Shiny, I'm not going to make a list, but if I were you'd be at the top of it as you wrestle thru nonsense and paperwork and lawyers and craziness -- all in an effort to get your son the situation that he needs. Big hugs, dearie, big hugs.
