Happy birthday, Jane!
I slept three hours this afternoon. Got up and did some dishes--now I'm achey. It's not dehydration, cause I just drank a liter of water. Man! time to take tylenol and lay back down. That's what I get for doing dishes...

Happy Birthday Jane. I hope you enjoyed your day. Did you have some beefcake???
Still taking care of DH, can't believe how bad it is. Think he turned a corner today. Still can't eat anything besides applesauce and pudding. He's hungry and tired of all of this! Me too!
Kathi, Sounds like you need some more sleep! Can't believe you slept so much. You must have alot to catch up on. Your body needs it. The studio looks great, don't worry about it!
Hugs to all.

Happy Birthday Jane
-
Linda, hugs to you and DH.
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes, all. Do you think I can talk my kids into naming their first child "Ned" I doubt it. They're all having a 45th birthday party for me tomorrow. A friend is making the cake, so I hope it's good. No beefcakes, except the one in my avatar and he looks like he's been eating a LOT of beefcakes. He's actually having gastric banding next month. I mentioned that I wanted to have a 45th birthday party during my chemo because I can't depend on having a 50th.
-
Have a blast at your party with your beefcake!! Of course you will make it to your 50th!!
-
Jane - awesome news - I think I am late on the birthday wishes:
Sorry - hope it was great!
-
Jane have a wonderful 45th birthday party, and then do it all over again for your 50th!
Linda hugs to you and your DH. Hope he is feeling better soon.
-
Oh thank heavens..... I connected the right person, on the right day, to the right event. LOL
Jane we want a full report on your party. I hope that you make lots of happy memories. I think that it's completely reasonable to ask for the first grandchild to be named NED!!
Linda & Mr. MAK...... sending encouragement that real food is at the end of the tunnel. It's great that we have one another when the chips are down. Wishing all good things ahead.
KAK...... I say, go with the sleeping. There must be a need. And THEN get thyself up here & help me sort out all of these questions I have.
Barbe..... I know you're having trouble posting pics of the wedding -- I just want you to know that I'm waiting, holding my breath, about to turn blue. Don't know if you heard, but my DD2 is engaged and they are planning a wedding for THIS Oct. 4th..... six weeks from today. I wanna see what you wore!!
Arnie...... seems like I haven't seen a lot of you lately. How you managing? Are you getting ready for your Labor Day reunion? I wanna see pics of that too, so plan ahead.
Jayne..... glad to see you this morning, how's Shiny? You two are neighbors, right? (LOL)
Kathleen...... sending you some theoretical sunshine, as we have been under cloud cover for a couple of days. Must go manufacture some.
Sharon..... maybe I'll get off my sloth-like behind and get some fresh air today. What are you doing on that account?
Julz....... you are on the go, dearie. Did you have a dance to supervise this weekend? Karioke??
Coonie...... I bet that you're doing laundry, or at least thinking about it. Unpack & take it easy -- then get right back over here with the rest of us.
RosieTex...... looking for an update from you. How ya feeling girlfriend?
Cheryl...... I smile everytime I read your nickname -- just thought you should know that.
Jaim....... wondering how your visit went. Were you able to keep your opinions to yourself..... or did ya just "go for it??" (We're taking sidebets)
Dream..... sounds like you've been particularly productive. Thanks for the motivation.
JGrim..... any news to report? Certainly don't expect any housework-related reports, particularly on a birthday weekend.
Elaine..... you're another one that I haven't seen for a bit. How's your mom?
Holly....... sending you some joy, as you sort thru the realities of BCO & it's challenges.
BKC........ how's your foot? I hope that you're staying away from all ladders-of-destruction.
Nancy...... what have you been up to this weekend?? Fun, I hope.
Shiny.......... it's time for a report. I know you're up against it, but know also that we're all here cheering for you. Sending you strength from across the pond. Wishing you progress on the efforts you're battling, from the heart. xx00xx00xx00xx
Big hugs and squeezes to all who are in need of them. From A to Z and back again. I'm sure that I have misplaced many -- trust that it's not intentional.

If anyone wants to see a pic of DH and me I have one in my email (NOT PM) that I can send you. Just PM me with your email address and I'll send a pic. I was VERY happy with the dress this time as I wore the sheer shrug it came with. Down south for DD was too hot for that and I couldn't wear my glasses at her wedding either as they steamed up in the heat! I felt like I didn't look like myself in her pix.
The dress is a deep eggplant/purple colour which I found out is THE colour this year. That's why I couldn't get a discount on it....sigh...it really WAS new. A lot of pictures don't translate the colour properly so it came out in all sorts of purple shades, but if you adjust the colour so my DH is wearing a black suit (like he was) then my colour was proper. I know Mumayan knows what I mean..... (cameras "think" black is too dark so they over-compensate and lighten it).

Arnie cannot seem to be able post - is anyone else having a problem?

Coonie...Welcome home!!!! So glad you had such a good time...
((((((((((((hugs to all you dustbunnies))))))))))))))))))
-
Good to hear from you Arnie!
Barb, I saw the dress on FB, it's gorgeous and I do LOVE the color!
-
I had so many things to do this weekend, and actually none of them have happened, heh. I also have lupus and narcolepsy, and sometimes I just can't stay awake long enough to do more than feed the zoo so they don't eat my face while I'm asleep. *shrug*
The sad thing is that they weren't even housework, though... I was supposed to sew a couple of dresses (fun), go camping with friends (fun), work on my website (fun), and play video games (fun). Pffft. Of course, I'll have to finish all of those things before I start housework, right?
Also, those of you who have relatives that don't help you clean might not be as bad off as you think. When I was first on chemo and having surgeries and not used to it yet my mother and friends came over all the time to help me clean and leave me food and do my laundry. Around Christmas my sister pulled me aside and said, "Do you know mom has a box of your clothes at our house still? She said that you had too many to deal with and wouldn't even notice they were gone." I'd been tearing my apartment apart once a week looking for some of those things, heh. So... there are benefits to having helpful, cleaning-obsessed friends and relatives, but there is also a down side. At least you don't have to wonder where half of your clothes are.
EDIT: She did have the good grace to look a little ashamed when I went into her closet and walked out with a box of my clothes and a raised eyebrow. But then she fed me lots of pie, so I forgave her.
-
No cleaning on Sundays for me besides there is no room under my bed for dust bunnies, there is too much stuff. Do we ever need to clean under our beds really? Everyone of you ladies have a good restful day.
-
Hello MR Arnie!....Long time no see!>..Uh.....What does that teeny tiny sign say?......I can't see anyhting that small lol!..........
-
Hey Bunnies.
Jane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so sorry I missed your birthday!!! Yours must be real close to Shiny's. Anyway, I sure hope it was a good one and many many more!!!
