Arnie, love the wreath you made for your friend.........I am a clutz around sharp items......We actually have a couple of saws in the garage...A band saw and a table saw and a jig saw and a drimel but I am afraid I will cut my fingers off and then how am I gonna crochet?......
I don't need anything to keep me awake...i suffer from insomnia so I need all the help I can get to get to sleep.........Part of my fatigue is from lack of sleep.......

I am still hoping that MIL keeps her mouth in check which I think she will, I wasn't nice when I was down her house. Yeah my kidneys ureter had to be rerouted and I had a doctor who I think was Edward scissorhands....lol.....
-
Jaimie, glad to hear the surgery went well! That's good news. You done good!
-
Jamie, if MIL says anything all you need to reply is "thanks to my Aunt's help, it looks this good. I'm so appreciative of her help."
Edit to add......I think I could chew nails today. Let me at her
.

Yeah, what Sharon said!
-
Well ladies porshalins room is finished. Very pink!!!!! Now if I can get it all back together.
I fell off the ladder last night and hyperextended my right foot ripped open the bottom off my 4th toe and between my 3rd and 4th toes. Don't ask me how just that I was very tired. I am now sporting a very ugly blue shoe and 6 stitches and orders to stay off of it. So i am propped with my foot up giving orders. My FIL came to finish the painting this morning. My plan to have both girls rooms finished and put back together before school starts is now out the window. It will get done just not as I had planed. Well back to giving orders I'm gettin kind of good at this.
-
Geesh bkc!!! Hope you heal up real fast!!!
-
BKC, WOW!!! Hope you are feeling better. Have fun giving the orders!
-
bkc......sorry 'bout your accident...gentlest of hugs. I won't give you grief but you were obviously doing housework??????????
-
OMG Sharon, you are right! I hope we all learn a lesson from BKC. Stop doing housework!!! It's dangerous!
-
No worries here.........I quit doing housework right NOW.
-
You mean you've been doing up til now??? I'm tellin'
-
LOLOL, are you kidding Linda? Well actually I was so angry today I actually DID housework. But not enough so you'd notice!!! PLLLEASE don't tell.
-
That's when I usually do it too. I have to be real angry or worried about something, then I clean nonstop.......or paint, or mow the lawn.....you get the picture!
-
nighty night, my bunny friends...............
been on a cyber prowl for the mother-of-the-bride dress.

ROFL, LMAO, LOL, etc., and so forth!!! How could I forget Coonie is on vacation??? It's such a good thing, that's probably it. We've had so much suckage here lately -- whoops, that's another thread!
I've been weepy all week, it's that post-trauma, oh maybe I can put this burden down for a few minutes kind of thing. I'm teary-eyed with relief that I lasted a year.
JGrim, in the fatigue research I did, I found that that's exactly what is ultimately recommended, that people be treated with a psychostimulant. Provigil is a very effective one for this and from what a friend tells me, doesn't make you feel "speedy" -- just not fatigued. I'm going to see my breast surgeon next week (who is an ob/gyn, too) and hopefully have a productive chat about all this.
Mary, Coonie & Cheryl & all other southern ladies, I know that you'll just think I'm a wuss, 'cause y'all put up with a lot more of this than we do, but Linda, back me up here --- it's been hotter than Haides here this past week!! Yick!!!!!!! Nineties, humid, sticky, hazy, bad air quality, the shebang. Tonight I was at the beach & the air was like a hot, wet flannel sheet. Can't even breath it in. Lordy, I'm glad I have A/C.
IT'S TOO HOT FOR ANYONE TO DO ANY HOUSEWORK! Also, no one should do any housework anyway in celebration of my one-year-I-survived-cancer anniversary.

-
Congrats KAK, one year down, many more to go. bkc, ouchies. I had to do some cleaning today because they are coming to shampoo my carpet on Tuesday. Hugs for all.
-
##### Its Friday I have to clean up today or I will loose the cat again. Oh I saw a cute sign in a gift shop the other day this was the quote. " Women who behave themselves are never recorded in history " I love that quote. Now what excuse can I come up with to avoid the housework?Hmmmmm
-
What the heck is going on? How could Spar be banned? KAK is right - Spar is great! I guess if she can be banned there is no chance for the rest of us!
BKC - welcome to my world! Try staying off your feet. I found it impossible. BTW - please stay off ladders. Gentle hugs and a swift recovery.
BARBE - welcome back!
LEFTY - you don't have to clean for fear of losing the cat - when he's hungry he will find you!
-
This has likely been posted before but just in case.........
-
Jane, did the PET scan go ok yesterday?
Linda, how is DHs mouth? Is the pain going away? I felt so bad when I heard he was going to work when I knew he was still in pain from the biopsy!
bkc, I hope your foot heals fast. Keep it elevated!
I believe I am the opposite of Sharon and Linda. I start out ok when doing housework, then get in a REALLY BAD MOOD!
Does anyone know how spar got banned?
-
Okay, I did miss something about Linda's DH! What's going on? I also saw someone mention on another thread about Linda having an MRI...true?
Has Cathi had any tests on her sore bones yet?
I just did a burst of housework...my bad? My faux wood white blinds in my bedroom were driving me nuts and I couldn't figure out how to clean them without staining the strings. Then I dreamed about Magic Eraser and it worked! Woo hoo!
-
Faith, Let us know when you find a dress. Pictures!!
KAK, yes, it is just disgusting here! I have been taking care of my DH who loves this heat, loves to lay in the sun. So the day he had his biopsy, or tongue removal as we are joking calling it, he stayed out all afternoon. Heat index of 100! YUCK! I had to put my bathing suit on and get in my pool. I HATE pools! I just couldn't stand to be outside. Even the pool water is over 90 degrees!
X DH is still in a lot of pain, and can't talk or eat. Last night he took 2 perks and got to eat some soupy mashed potatoes and broth. Just what you want to eat when it's 100!! He doesn't like taking the perks because they make him light headed. (Which is why I was outside with him in this weather). I called the dr. yesterday and she said about a week for the pain to go away. Tongue is very swollen too. I would NOT recommend this!
X I get in a really bad mood when I housework because I have to.
I didn't know spar got banned. What happened?
EDITED to add several "A"'s!
-
Barb, I had my Mam and MRI last week. Still found calcifications on both breasts with the mam, but MRI had b9 findings. DH went for a physical 2 weeks ago and dr. didn't like something on his tongue. We went for a biospy Wed and had no idea how much o his tongue they would remove! UGLY!! He still has a tongue, but the side from the back to the front was removed. The path report will be back next friday, the day we go on vcation.
BTW my 14 y.o. was at the doctors yesterday because he scratched his eveyball. He is on Eurthromycin (SP) and antibiotic drops. This week I went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds, my husbnds and then my sons. The pharmacy tech loooked at me when I walked in the store and said "You are not having a good week!!"
Sorry if A's are missing!!
-
Oh Linda, I'm sorry, but that is the stuff B-movies are made of!!!! hehehehehhe
When we walk into our WalMart pharmacy, they start reaching under the counter for my scripts! I take 8 prescriptions a day and I have 4 others for different situations that arise. They call us by name, don't know if that's a good thing....sigh.
So what the heck did they find on his tongue? Could you see it? I know I had a horrid virus one year that carved areas out of my tongue. I was worried, but it all grows back. Kind of like a lizards tail....or not.
You do know what those calcifications can grow into, don't you? That's why I had a double mast. I didn't want to wait for the other shoe to drop. Sorry, that's a topic for another thread. So is your DH's tongue action after all this....
-
Now there's the Barb I know and love!! Yes, I know about the calcs. That's why we are watching them closely. I have been making jokes about his tongue all week. I have to in order to make it through the day! They think it was scar tissue from years of rubbing against his teeth. There was a spot on the scar tissue that they did not like the looks of. So, out it came.
