Coonie I hear ya sister!.....I need to do cabinets too .......I use Murphy's OIl Soap for my wood cabinets.........I need to take mine down and REALLY scrub them!........I did my baseboards a couple of months ago when I first lost my job.....Still need to throw out a bunch more junk.....
Does anybody have Barbe's address?......I want to send a get well card.......
Arnie, gentle hugs to you...Yes I know ..I'm supposed to be going to the unemployment office but I just can't get going.........
-
Its ok- cause this is just finding a way of doing it FASTER and more efficently so it doesn't have to be done as often...just this once.....
-
Lucy- it is not going away just because you don't go......get your little behind in gear and get moving. This is your one thing for the day. .
-
Whew.......thanks Elaine
I'll take your word for it since Mom's on leave of absence. You're filling in for her, right? LOL
Lucy.....good luck at unemployment office. Thanks for advice on cabinets. I've used Murphy's Oil Soap before too. Probably will do that again.
-
Ummm right, ok.
How is Mom? I know she had a houseful of visitors, boy is she gonna be tired.
-
Well, I think Mom WAS doing ok.........but who knows now? Company can sure wear a person down. Hope she's back soon. But you're doing good filling in for her........hehe

Hi All, I have to clean the bathtub and the bathroom it's in today... it was used for a 3AM de-skunking of our lab overnight. It't getting cleaned before I use it!
I guess I should count my lucky stars that only one of the 3 dogs got up close and personal with the skunk. How old do kids have to be to remember to sniff the air BEFORE you let the dogs out after dark??????
Coonie, I used to have wood cabinets in the kitchen of our last house. Murphy's Oil Soap was very mild. Pledge made a wood cleaner similar to it that was better at cutting grease, but I haven't seen it lately. Also, Guardsman Concentrate Creme Furniture Polish was good for a light cleaning and leaves a nice glow behind on the wood. I still use it to clean my wood furniture.

Good morning ladies
Sun is shining bright in NY today. I can't wait to remove my drain so I can go swimming!
Prayers, prayers, prayers to Barbe. I hope that she gets this pain management thing under control. What a bummer! But I know she will be okay because we gals are a strong group. With our prayers she will come through with flying colors.
Arnie-Continue to feel better. Glad you are at least up to posting. I will keep you in my prayers as well.
Deb-By the time you read this hopefully you have finished your rads. Celebrate!!!!!!!!!!
Lottie-Hope surgery went well and you join us back here soon!
Sharon-Interesting info about the drain. I have to ask my plastic surgeon about that when I go on Friday. I know last time at about three weeks the drain started getting some funky things in it and he pulled it because he said that we didn't want to risk infection and it had to come out. Who knows? But it is slowing down, that is a good thing. I have a wedding to go to on Sunday, so I hope it comes out Friday. We will see.
NO HOUSEWORK FOR ME TODAY!!! Too nice out. Though I have been (with hubby's help!) managing to keep up with laundry. I told my doc to write my kids a note that mom is "out of service" Everyone have a wonderful and stress free day!
-
Thanks PatMom!!! OOooohhhhhh nooooo!!!! A skunk??!!!!!!! That's got to be the most horrible smell in the world. I've heard using tomato juice on the dog would help get the smell out. Good grief, I guess you're worn out this morning, huh?
I've never heard of the Guardsman Concentrate. I'll have to look for it. My cabinets are just mostly dusty.........don't do a whole lot of greasy cooking, so that's not a problem.....LOL. Matter of fact, don't do a whole lot of ANY cooking........hehe
Thanks for the info.....
Maybe the skunk came for some food
Guess this is a skunk dog
-
(((((((((((((((CAROLMARIE))))))))))) you need to stay out of service until you get the drains out!! Those things are a pain! Take advantage of it though. You should probably not even get out of bed, have your meals brought to you, magazine at your request, movies, etc. Queen for the week!!
-
We used to live way out in the country, so I knew how to neuralize the smell....use milk like shampoo, then use tomato juice like shampoo, then finally a good dog shampoo that you lather up well before you rinse the dog.
The trick is keeping the dog from touching any rugs or furniture that can absorb the smell before you get him treated.
I used to get the Guardsman at the hardware store back when we lived in the boonies. Now I get it at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
-
Debs... so happy for you!!!
Hope you all have a happy "non-housework" day
-
Thanks guys! I'm so stoked, it feels like another birthday...been going at this since Oct 23, 2008..long time, so glad it's almost over! woooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo
Barbe,, prayers going up for you, I can't imagine the pain and agony you're going through...
-
Barb, I hope you are feeling better! I'll say some prayers and send some healing vibes your way.
Arnie, get some rest, I hope you feel better too.
Yeah!!! DEB!!!
Miss you too Mom!!

-
Deb congrats on finishing rads
Barbe get well soon!!!
-
Mom have the guests left yet?....Can you come out to play yet?.......
Ewwweeeee Patmom!...Skunks have the WORST smell in the world except for the corpse lily and an actual corpse!........GROSS!!!!
For all my bunny buddies who need it (((((((HUG)))))))
-
Gosh, I go for an hour and missed so much here. Who got skunked???? Apparently a pool strength chlorine dip helps get rid of the smell too. That is if it's your pet who got sprayed! Ha, or throw him in THE NEIGHBOUR'S pool.
Arnie, Barbe, Elaine........gosh, the list goes on.......sending you all gentle hugs and just hope you are soon on the mend.
Deb......are you done!!!
Mom, those house guests........are they staying forever? You are going to be exhausted.
Coonie, come and clean with me? I could use your expertise advice
.
-
Maybe we all should go and visit Mom and be her next house guests!
-
Hahahaha, Linda, you took the thoughts right out of my mind..........heck, we could stay forever.
-
Seems like we're getting dangerously close to cleaning things, all of a sudden.
Please watch your step, gals..... it's a very slippery slope.
I promise to continue to slack, so no one need ever feel guilty alone.
Hugs & prayers to all of our bunnies in need. Certainly Barbe is at the top of the list. I know she thought she'd be back to work by now -- so this must be a real blow to her sense of mortality.
Arnie..... it's so good to see you posting. Thank goodness. Thanks for getting ahold of B's DH.
There are so many thru out our community who need encouragement. I bring before you our "Saint" again. For our new bunnies, she is a Stage IV sister that I've had the great good fortune of spending quality time with over the past two years. She's having a very rough go at the moment. I know her last message to me sounded worn out.
Prayers for one & all. We weave together a tight knit clan.
Hallelujah that our Deb is now complete!!!!!! The day has arrived, dearie: Celebrate!! BIg time!!!!
Vivvy, gal of tomorrow, let us learn from your being ahead-of-the-curve. Teach us.
I just can't believe that Mom hasn't popped in to see what a ruckus we've gotten into periodically.
Maybe someone could post something down right naughty?? That brought her into focus real quick once before. LOL.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Shiny are you speaking French as I type? Jayne have the two of your scheduled a meet up?? Seems like it's about time we get that report. How big can England be after all, it's an island.
My heart is heavy today. I need the rest of you to create a diversion of nonsense. Thanks.
-
Awwhhh Faithie.........could it be you're missing da babeeeeez??????
I KNOW this pic will make you smile
-
now, i'm just flat out crying, you silly loonie.
-
I sowwwy Faithie. Didn't mean to make you cry
Now I'm crying 'cause you're crying.
-
Faith, hugs Sistah. Please cry but just a little. I can't think of anything silly........
-
Well, I know how you like polka dots.........does this help?
-
Crying, but just a little, on Sharon's advice.
Well maybe just a little more than a little.
-
-
Trust you Coonie.............hehehe.
